Story
Hi There! Are you looking for a handsome, tan, lover boy? I'm Teddy, the guy for you! I am a  2 1/2-year-old dapper, tan Cairn Terrier/Dachshund mix. I thrive on affection. I love being loved - my theme song could very well be "Somebody to Love." There's nothing I love more than sitting and cuddling in a lap, and I'm eager to find that special spot forever. Could your lap be the place for me? I love to run and play in the backyard. I'm very interested in observing squirrels and giving them a good chase. Give me a toy and I am a busy, happy boy.  I also come with a set of skills too- I sit on command, come when called, and walk well on my leash. I'm comfortable around other dogs and am housebroken.  While I'm still figuring out how I feel about cats I get along well with other dogs, and I would do well with older kids, but maybe not toddlers  I tend to bark at people until I get to know them, but with lessons from my foster, I am working on developing better barking manners.  I'm a brave and loving special-needs dog who has experienced seizures over the past few months, each about two months apart. Despite these challenges, I continue to lead a normal like any regular dog - enjoying my walks, playtime, and cuddles just like any other day. Recently, I began taking seizure medication to help manage my condition.  I dream of a place with a cozy human lap where I can live in the heart of my forever family. I would love to meet you and hope you can be my forever place. Are you my somebody to love? Story
Meet Pugsley Hey There, I'm Pugsley. I'm just a guy looking for that special love connection.  Are you my perfect match? At 4 years old, I am a fawn-colored, 24-pound French Bulldog/Chihuahua mix. My foster says I am an excellent companion dog. I am crate-trained and housetrained. I walk well on a leash, but I forget my manners if I see another dog on the walk and lunge when I see one. When I arrived at the rescue, I had some injuries possibly caused by rough encounters with other dogs or wildlife. Because of this, I can sometimes be aggressive when I see other dogs. Although I have had some tough times, I can be a great companion dog. My foster says, "He is always by my side when I'm home. He sleeps on the bed with me without trouble at all." I'm ready to live my best life. It would be best if there were no children under 10 in the home, and I would be best as an only dog. Walking with me can be challenging if we encounter another dog, so a house with a backyard is ideal. I would not be a good fit for a first-time dog owner. Still, I could thrive with an experienced handler who can help me develop my behavior, manners, and reactions with other dogs as I learn to feel safe and secure. When you get to know me, and I warm up to you, I can be a wonderful dog. I would love to show you that. If you are that special person, willing to give me a chance at my forever home, I can return that with loyalty and love. Let's meet and see if we can make the best team and live our best lives together. Story
Hi, I'm Piper Jones! People tell me that my fur is a beautiful blue color. It's funny, my foster family thinks that my coat should be red because I'm a little spicy! I'm a 3 year old chihuahua/terrier mix and I originally lived in a home with 50 other dogs, so I didn't get much attention. I like attention from people and I bond strongly with those who love on me. I especially like ladies and it takes me a little longer to warm up to men. I would prefer a home without young children. I get along well with cats, and dogs that are my size or larger. I have lots of energy and love to run around the yard.  Learn more about our adoption process below and fill out an adoption application to take the first step in giving Piper Jones the home she deserves! Story
Hi, I'm Blue Bell. I was adopted out as a puppy from RHS but my family could no longer care for me. I LOVE human attention. I get along with other dogs, but I do want to make sure I've got your full attention!!! My dental care was basically nonexistent, so I had to have all my teeth pulled. I feel much better and it doesn't bother me. I'm not a fan of being brushed or groomed, although you can work with me on that. It's been a bit rough for me lately, but I'm ready to trade in my past for a future filled with love and belly rubs. I promise to be the sweetest companion you could ask for. So, what do you say? Ready to give an old girl like me a chance? Here's how to meet me: Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. Story
This smart, beautiful girl has a wonderful spirit and gentle soul.  We just love her to bits.   She's a pretty savvy chick.  She figured out the doggie door pretty quick and takes herself out to go potty or a respite from the hustle and bustle of a busy doggy filled houshold. She's sensitive and sweet and can read a room in 10 seconds flat.  Good vibe, bad vibe?  She knows.  She loves hanging out with the resident dogs and patrolling the backyard for squirrels. Glory has also discovered the toy basket and loves to empty it and even take toys out the doggie door.  She enjoys walks with her foster mom and her "pack", exploring new neighborhoods and fields. Oh - and she's been a momma - raised to kiddos, Ross and Betsy.  Also available for adoption.  She was a good mom, and is a most excellent dog.   You'd be lucky if she was your dog.   ##2466424##
