Story
We gave this gem of a girl the name of Pearl - pearl because she is precious, even though her former owner didn't think so.  Pearl and her brother (already adopted) were left behind by their owner when they moved.  They were just discarded and left to fend for themselves after being used to having a family.  It's still hard for us to understand why people would do this.   Luckily we were able to find Pearl and a wonderful temporary foster. Pearl is a pyrenees mix who the vet estimates to be about 5 years old.  She weighs 53 pounds.  Pearl has received her vaccinations and has tested negative for heartworm.  She was treated for anaplasmosis and has been spayed.  The vet trimmed her toenails while she was under sedation (for the spay).  Poor girl - they had grown so long that they deeply embedded themselves into her paw pads.  But she's all healed now.   Now that she is receiving proper care and attention we just need to find her a forever home.  She is described as being a calm, super sweet, wonderful, and friendly girl.  She would be perfect for a family looking for a calm dog. Is your household looking for a precious gem like Pearl?  If yes, please apply to give her a happy, loving home. Personality: calm, sweet, friendly, affectionate Good with: people of all ages (including kids), and dogs (submissive to other dogs).  Has not been cat tested yet. Estimated date of birth: July 2020 Weight: 53 pounds Training: house trained Medical: vetted, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped Location: Will be arriving on 1/17 to stay with a local foster in NJ, and once you are approved to adopt, is available for a meet and greet.  For more videos of Pearl, check out her YouTube playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmB5-2QLmiJOxvWvcslGBNhxEYhniBG9o If you have any questions please email: friendsforlifeanimalrescue@gmail.com To apply to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/210286667669167 We always need fosters, please join us!  https://form.jotform.com/210257395409155 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Beautiful Betsy is an 18-month-old purebred Great Pyrenees who truly lives up to her name. At 85 pounds, she’s a stunning girl with a heart to match—gentle, affectionate, and full of quiet sweetness. Betsy recently lost the only family she has ever known due to circumstances beyond her control. A divorce forced her devoted human mom and four children to move into a small home without a yard, and with great love and heartbreak, her mom chose what was best for Betsy’s future rather than holding onto her.   Betsy is very familiar with family life and has been raised around children, other dogs, and even cats. She once had four puppies of her own and showed nothing but tenderness and devotion as a mother, which speaks volumes about her nurturing nature. While she has not been used as a livestock guardian—and we do not want that life for her—she is perfectly suited for a home where she can enjoy both indoor comfort and outdoor space. Betsy dreams of a soft place to nap, a couch to share, and evenings spent lounging nearby as you snack and unwind, happily serving as a fluffy pillow or loyal movie companion.   She walks nicely on a leash, has good house manners, and can be crated for reasonable periods, though she should not be left confined for long workdays. Betsy travels well in the car and would make a wonderful road-trip partner. Like the classic Great Pyrenees, she has a calm, happy demeanor and a peaceful presence that fills a home with warmth.   We are hoping to find Betsy a stable, loving forever home with a securely fenced yard, ideally half an acre or more, where she can stretch her legs and enjoy the outdoors safely. If you feel called to help this special girl begin her next chapter—one filled with love, comfort, and belonging—please reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 18, 2026, 3:24 pm

Story
&#226&#156&#168 Meet Iris – your future best friend! &#226&#156&#168 Iris is our sweet foster girl born around November 5th to an Amish breeder farm and we took over her care when she was 8 weeks old.  Often when puppies have not been sold at eight weeks, they will either euthanize them or offer them to a rescue to take.  We jumped at the trance to help three puppies that they no longer saw fit to keep.  They were not in tip top shape at all, but they are now. Iris arrived a little bit scared and shy, but she now is the happiest, most curious soul. She’s independent but loves being around her humans, always wanting to be part of the action.   here is what her adoring foster mom, Jennifer has to say about her  'Iris is so playful, a ton of fun and super cute.  She fits right into our household routine faster than we expected. Iris gets along wonderfully with all of our dogs and absolutely adores our 10-year-old son, making her a fantastic candidate for a family home. While she’s happy and well-behaved in her crate (she sleeps there overnight and does great when we leave the house). Iris definitely prefers lounging out in the house when you’re home—close to her people. She just wants to be where you are.   Iris would make an amazing family dog: loving, joyful, adaptable, and a total delight to have around. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful companion with a big heart, Iris might be your girl. &#226&#156&#168we expect her to reach 75 pounds as an adult.    Message us to learn more or to meet Iris!   Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at    Ccrnewengland@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 22, 2026, 12:11 pm

Story
Sylvia is the kind of dog who makes people stop and smile before they even realize why. With her enormous, cloud-like head of white fluff and soulful expression, this Great Pyrenees girl radiates beauty and quiet confidence. Born around November 5th, 2025, Sylvia already carries herself like royalty and truly believes she deserves to be adored. And honestly, once you meet her, it’s hard to disagree.   Sylvia is deeply people-oriented and thrives on connection. She wants to be wherever her humans are, involved in whatever they’re doing, watching closely and making sure she’s not missing a thing. She has no hesitation about expressing her feelings and will gently but clearly let you know when she expects attention, affection, or reassurance. Grooming time is one of her greatest joys, and she soaks up brushing, petting, and pampering as if it were her rightful due.   Playtime brings out her youthful sparkle. Balls and squeaky toys are her absolute favorites, and she delights in engaging both people and other dogs with her friendly, confident nature. Sylvia approaches new humans and canine friends with ease, showing no shyness and a naturally social heart. She has spent time with children, allowing herself to be hugged, handled, and even carried around with remarkable patience and grace, clearly enjoying the attention. While she hasn’t met cats yet, her calm and tolerant temperament suggests she would adjust just fine.   Sylvia will grow into a large and impressive dog, expected to reach at least 80 pounds. As a true Great Pyrenees, she will need space to roam and fulfill her instinct to observe and patrol her surroundings. A securely fenced yard is essential unless she has access to wide-open acreage where she can stretch her legs and feel at ease. With the right environment and a family that appreciates her devoted, affectionate nature, Sylvia will be an extraordinary companion who adds joy, beauty, and a little sparkle to every day.     If you are interested in adopting this beautiful great pyrenees puppy who is ready to come to your home on January 30th please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at Ccrnewengland@gmail.com A   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 22, 2026, 12:11 pm

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to JFK & EWR💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Yeoreum💕 (her name means “Summer” in Korean) 💙 Adogs News Account : @_adogs_ 1.) Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped and hearworm negative. 2.) Rescue Story * Yeoreum is one of the dogs that the Adogs team rescued from a dogslaughter farm in 2022. Spending a long time there, she was about to be put down, but Adogs was able to rescue her just in the nick of time. 3.) Basic Information * With People: Has a calm and timid personality and is slow to adapt to new environments. When strangers approach her, she tends to avoid them and leaves the area. Previously, she had to be cornered for touching to be possible, but has recently become more comfortable with pets. Still, she doesn’t stay still and tries to get away if strangers pick her up. Also runs away from familiar people, but she can be leashed and touched when cornered. Accepts treats if you drop it on the ground. * With Dogs: If a dog approaches too closely or annoys her, she growls and snarls to express her displeasure. May bite other dogs so caution is needed. * With Cats: Shows no reaction to cats she encounters during walks and focuses on the person walking with her. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed yet since she lives communally with other dogs at our center. May need training in a home environment. * Potty Training: Unknown, since she lives communally at our center. * Hygiene: Was given a bath after getting dirty on a walk, and calmly accepted it! * Walks: Runs away and avoids the leash, but once the leash is actually on, she follows her handler well on walks. * Car Sickness: Does not show any symptoms of motion sickness during short distances, like when going to the veterinary clinic. Unclear how she would do on long-distance trips. * When another dog suddenly approaches and gets too pushy, she growls to tell them to stop. * Has a strong appetite and loves to eat. Enjoys resting indoors alone. Has had extended kennel training so she is able to handle long periods of crating, such as if she goes on an airplane or on a long drive. * Gets surprised and runs away when people approach, but accepts pets calmly once you actually manage to touch her.

Story
Frankie is a 1.6-year-old Great Pyrenees mix weighing about 88 lbs, and he’s truly a happy-go-lucky gentle giant. He loves meeting new people and does great with other dogs, greeting everyone with an easygoing, friendly attitude. Frankie is not only affectionate but also eager to learn, and he’s been doing exceptionally well in training. He enjoys snuggling just as much as he enjoys playtime and exploring the world around him. He’s a wonderful mix of sweet, curious, and fun. While Frankie is adaptable, the city isn’t his natural environment. He would be much happier in a suburban or rural setting where there’s more space and fewer distractions, allowing him to relax and be his true self. With room to breathe and move at his own pace, Frankie really shines. His ideal adopter is someone familiar with (or excited to learn about) the Great Pyrenees breed and who will enjoy continuing his training and providing consistent guidance. Frankie is already a very good boy, and with the right home and support, he’ll grow into an incredibly loyal, loving companion! Approved adopters interested in Frankie can email adopt@hbrdogs.com for more info. If you're not approved yet, apply today at hbrdogs.com
