She is sweet, smart, curious, friendly, loves to play and be involved with her people. She has great recall, basic / advanced obedience, house manners and leash manners. She is 65 lbs and up to date on all vaccines. She was initially rescued from Virginia, and is currently located in Manhattan. I have had her for one year, and have come to realize that I can't give her what she needs here (exercise, adventure, structure, a pack, etc). Ideal candidate: patient dog owner experienced with high energy, working breeds. Active household (hiking, adventure, etc) with a large yard and one or more other well-mannered dogs for her to play with and learn from. Terra has a lot of energy and some anxiety in new situations. I suspect these will both lessen with access to a yard and regular exercise, but she will need some attention when settling in. She needs a home that can match her vigor and zest for life, and in exchange she will repay you with unbreakable loyalty, affection, companionship and entertainment. I have had a few people tell me that she would be a good candidate for agility training, if that's something you're interested in. She is very smart, very athletic and loves to please. She loves dogs and is naturally gentle with smaller / older dogs, but gets very excited when meeting other large, high energy dogs for the first time. She loves to chase, be chased and wrestle. Sometimes she needs to be told to chill out when she's very stimulated around these types of dogs. She has gotten 10x better at this during the time I've had her, but she is still learning. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.
