Story
Harper is a loving dog. She was adopted by my son and daughter in law during Covid. She had been abused but has become a loving dog that loves to play with children. She is very gentle, and spends most of her day, just sleeping and hanging out. She is used to running around a back yard with my granddaughter, so someone who has a yard would be best. About 11/2 years ago, my son, daughter in law and granddaughter moved to Flowery Branch Ga, a suburb of Gainesville Ga. My son worked from home, and tragically he died very unexpectedly on November 24. My daughter in law and granddaughter need to move and cant bring the dog with them, and have to move by January 2nd. I live in Jacksonville, and can bring the dog here if someone will adopt her, but cant keep her in my home very long. Harper is sweet, and in many ways spoiled, and would love a good loving home!!!

Story
I adopted Nate from the humane society when I was in college, about 12.5 years ago. He was just two months old at the time and has always lived with me since as his primary owner. Sometime when he was a few years old, he was mistreated by apartment maintenance personnel that changed his temperament towards new people. Although not aggressive, he is skeptical of new faces in his home environment and takes time to warm up to people. He has never acted aggressively towards our children, but I would never forgive myself if something were to happen. For that reason he has transitioned to being an outdoor dog, but I believe that is very hard on him in his old age and in this weather. I am hoping to find a loving home for him where he can have regular companionship again and comfort. I would love to meet up with you either in your home or at a dog park for you to meet Nate and see if it would be a good fit for you. Thank you!
