Story
Gracie Mae is a four-year-old dog who was originally adopted as a puppy from Forsyth County Humane Society. She has grown into an incredibly affectionate, loyal companion who bonds deeply with her people and loves nothing more than cuddling on the couch once she feels safe and settled. Gracie is an anxious dog by nature and does best in calm, predictable environments. She is especially sensitive to loud or sudden activity. Doorbells, delivery drivers, and unfamiliar people entering the home can trigger barking and heightened anxiety. When given time and repeated, low-pressure exposure, she does warm up and learns that new people are safe. Once she trusts you, she is loving, attentive, and very attached. She currently lives with another dog, an American Bully who is 3 years older, and they get along very well. They play together and coexist peacefully, and Gracie enjoys having a canine companion. Gracie is very food motivated and responds well to treats and positive reinforcement.
