Story
Sweet girl who is great with kids and loves chew toys. She is a little mouthy when she wants to play but she quickly transfers to the toy when you show her. She has a sensitive stomach so she will need a quality brand dog food and a little TLC from an experienced dog owner. A vet visit may be needed to determine exact cause of GI issues.

Story
Sugar Plum is an approximately 8-9 month-old Hound mix. She was apparently hit by a car when she was younger but was not treated. After being rescued, her leg needed to be amputated due to the damage, but this little girl is doing great. Based on her behavior now, you can see how uncomfortable she must have been.  Sugar Plum was too thin when rescued, but she is now 32 pounds, a healthy weight. She loves to take walks and play (you wouldn't know she is a tripod). Sugar is very much a   big puppy and is making up for her lost puppyhood. She’s very smart and sweet but had little to no prior training. But now, she is house-trained and crate-trained, though she isn't a fan of the crate. She is also learning to walk on a leash and is still working on that. She now knows commands like sit, down, paw, and, if lucky, a short stay. She loves meeting new people and car rides. Sugar Plum does like children, but because of her size, energy, and being a big puppy, only older children should be considered.  Sugar is a good watchdog. Hence, she’ll bark at anything she hears, and, sometimes, when she’s had enough crate time. So no apartments or condos for her. Her  ideal home will be with an active family, where she can take long walks and has a fenced yard. She also loves to lie in the sun and would love to have another dog playmate. She wants to play with other dogs so badly, but she is still learning how to play. She was able to get her foster mom's grumpy, 12-year-old pup to play with her,  There is also some separation anxiety, so another dog would be helpful. She also needs an adopter who has dog experience and understands she needs further training and patience.  She’s truly a great dog with a lot of good qualities who just needs someone to help her grow up.           An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Bob Barker is a big bundle of joy, eager to find his forever home! This smart, happy, and excitable boy is a well-rounded companion who brings energy and affection wherever he goes. House Trained & Crate Trained Bob has mastered the art of being a well-mannered house guest and member of the family. He's crate trained, and quick to learn new commands, making him a breeze to incorporate into your family's day to day life. Kid-Friendly At 65 pounds, Bob Barker is better suited for families with older children who can handle his playful energy. He's still young and doesn't always realize his size, so older kids will enjoy his enthusiasm without the risk of being knocked over. Activity Level This playful pup thrives on activity! Whether it's long walks, romping around in a yard, or engaging in a game of fetch or tug-of-war, Bob Barker is always ready for fun. Playtime Favorites Balls are his favorite for fetch, but Bob Barker also enjoys a good game of tug-of-war or a playful chase. He brings joy and laughter to every play session! Ideal Home Bob Barker would thrive in a loving family home with a large, fenced yard (ideally 4-5 ft high) where he can run and play. He walks beautifully on a leash, making outtings a pleasure. He is alert and attentive, always eager to learn and be near his people. If you're looking for a loving, energetic companion who's ready to fill your life with joy, Bob Barker is your guy! He can't wait to meet you and start his new adventure.     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms     Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Hi, my name is Kalina. I know that I am beautiful and a dog that when everybody sees my picture they will want to have me as their own. But you see, I lived a life without humans My entire life. I was just used to make babies. So many beautiful, beautiful babies. But I was never given love, affection, or touch, and I did not even get a minimal amount of attention. So I am not easy. I am not the dog that will come to you if you are looking at me. I will never let you reach down and rub my entire body, at least not until we have known each other for a while. I will barely get close enough for you to just feel my nose and give me a loving touch on my face. But if you give me a chance, I will make small strides. I don't know if I'll ever be that loving couch potato kind of dog. But I do surprise my fommy sometimes and get up on the couch when she's not paying attention and snuggle at her feet. But if you move, I'll move.   I will sneak up on you and boop your butt when you're doing dishes. I will bark at you when I want to come in the house and probably even make you leave the house so that I can come in the house. It will take me a while to take treats from your hand. But I will do it eventually. I need time and slow movements—more time than most. I need someone to build a routine with me. Someone who understands that is who I need. From her Fommy: Understanding that this dog is not a typical dog is so important. As her Foster, it took me months before she would even allow me into the same room with her. We have been together for eight months now, and she's still only coming to the room with me if I'm not looking at her. She loves her crate. She walks right into it as long as I'm not in the path and have my back to her. I tell you this just so you understand how special she is.  Even though she is so standoffish, I know that she loves me with everything that she has. But when she presents her love, it doesn't look like a typical kind of love from any other dog. And this girl needs somebody that's willing to accept that.  She will absolutely require another dog in her household because that is what helps her thrive and to show her safety. She will absolutely need a crate in her home because that is her safe spot. And a fenced-in yard is definitely a must because she is a flight risk. She does not know how to walk on leash and I don't know if she ever will be able to. The real world is just very scary for her. When I take her out she is on multiple leashes and that is just to get her from the house to the car. That being said, I also think a farm environment would work for her. As long as it's not near big roads. You would still need to work with her first to get her comfortable. And she needs another dog to help her with that. But if you give her a nice picnic table to sunbathe on, she will be ever so happy. When it comes down to it, she's a very loyal dog to her property and people.  She's amazing with dogs and children, although with dogs, she can be annoyingly in their face/muzzle area for a long time. And with children, she is very easily startled, so I would say older children. A calm/laid-back home would be ideal.  She is an amazingly sweet, perfect dog, but she's not your typical dog. You are never going to make her into what you want. You just have to be okay with becoming who she needs. If you're up for that task, please inquire for this girl  An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
This dog was found abandoned and emaciated in north Georgia last August. He walked up to my friend who was at his family property. He wasn't chipped and the local shelter said they would have to euthanize him due to overcrowding. My friend took the dog home with him, but it isn’t the living situation Bevo needs. He is crated most of the day in an apartment and while he gets long walks, he needs land to run on and at a minimum a large fenced yard. Bevo is about 18 months super sweet, no aggression is neutered and housebroken. He is still all puppy and needs to be trained not to jump on people. He would be a great hunting dog or companion for a runner. My friend did the right thing saving him and knows he needs his forever home with a family who has time to give Bevo the care he needs.
