UPDATE: Due to being microchipped, we are working with LifeLine to get Toby into a foster system in order to properly transfer ownership. You can still reach out to me (current foster) if you have any questions.Toby is a 7-year-old Polish Lowland Sheepdog mix. He's technically medium sized, but currently weighs 72lbs and is on a strict kibbles-only diet to get down to a healthy range (50-55 lbs). Active, very easy going & good with dogs (“curious” about cats). Does well on leash but prefers running loose. Loves playing fetch and being around his humans.Toby would do great in a household where he has outdoor space to run and play, or gets frequent visits to a dog park.(He's been sheared in his most recent photos, but normally sports a long, shaggy coat.)

Story
Meet Reuben&#44 a beautiful black shepherd-type dog who is the definition of a gentle soul. Hes a bit of a shy guy at first&#44 but once he trusts you&#44 he becomes the ultimate affectionate velcro dog. Reuben is a quiet house guest and a total couch potato who loves to rest his head right on yours while you nap. While hes calm indoors&#44 he absolutely lights up for a game of fetch with his favorite soccer balls or tennis balls. He is a dream on the leash&#44 walking politely by your side without ever barking or lunging at others. Reuben LOVES other dogs and would love a canine sibling to help him feel confident. Because he can be a little nervous around strangers&#44 hes looking for a patient&#44 adult-only or older kid home where he can warm up at his own pace. He is perfectly potty trained and has shown a polite curiosity toward cats&#44 though hed prefer a slow introduction to new feline friends. This smart boy already knows commands like sit and crate&#44 and he is always eager to learn more for a few pieces of hot dog. If youre looking for a loyal&#44 low-key companion to cuddle with&#44 Reuben is your boy!
