Gershwin is a 7-year-old neutered male German Shepherd, pure bred, looking for the right home. He is a sweet, sesitive dog who bonds deeply to his people and thrives in a structured, predictable environment. He is currently in training at B.A.R.K Institute, where we are working on building his confidence and improving impulse control. Why is Gershwin available for adoption? He has had two incidents where unfamiliar people entered his space, home unexpectedly and due to his anxiety his reaction was two minor bite incidents-in these scenarios,neither required medical treatment,but they are considered a bite history nonetheless. He is currently on medication to support his anxiety and his owners opted not to discontinue medication before sending him to training. Ideal Home: *Experienced dog owner (German Shepherd experience preferred) *Calm,structured household *someone confortable with management (crate/place,controlled introductions) *Adult0only home or older, dog-savvy children Gershwin is a loyal, thoughtful dog who will do best with someone who understands his nature and is willing to provide clear leadership and structure. Garland is an 8-month-old 30 lb Shiba Inu mix who’s as handsome as he is smart! This awesome boy already knows his basic commands and is eager to keep learning—he’d absolutely shine in obedience classes. Garland would love a home with a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and show off his playful side. He’s dog-friendly and would make a great companion for an active household ready to keep his sharp mind engaged. We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken.  They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.  Update - 3/20/26 Sweet Jack is still here…still waiting…still hoping. At just 9½ months old and 38 lbs, this young pup has already been waiting over 3 months for someone to see him. He’s watched his siblings leave one by one, and most recently, his best friend Gabby found her family too. While we are so happy for them, we can’t help but wonder…when will it be Jack’s turn?  Jack is a special boy who needs a special home. He’s nervous with new people and doesn’t show his true self in his kennel - but give him time, patience, and understanding, and you’ll see the incredible dog he’s meant to be. He’s looking for a calm, quieter home with experience handling shy or fearful dogs, someone who can help build his confidence at his pace. Jack is dog selective, so meet-and-greets are required if you have another dog. He would do best in a home with kids 12+. This young active pup loves to move! A fenced yard for playtime and long walks will make his heart so happy. And with continued training and guidance, Jack will form a deep, loyal bond with his person, the kind of connection that is truly something special.
