Story
Meet Franklin, a loving and loyal pup with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. He loves being close to his people, whether he’s curled up on the couch, following you around the house, or relaxing by your side. Franklin is affectionate, goofy, and forms strong bonds with the people he trusts.Franklin does have IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease), a spinal condition that requires extra care and attention to keep him healthy and comfortable. Because of this, he needs a calm home where his physical limitations are understood and respected. He would do best in a home without children or other pets, where he can fully relax and be the center of attention. Franklin thrives in peaceful environments with patient, compassionate people who will give him the love and consistency he deserves. He is truly a special dog looking for the right person to give him a safe, loving forever home.

Story
Gershwin is a 7-year-old neutered male German Shepherd, pure bred, looking for the right home. He is a sweet, sesitive dog who bonds deeply to his people and thrives in a structured, predictable environment. He is currently in training at B.A.R.K Institute, where we are working on building his confidence and improving impulse control. Why is Gershwin available for adoption? He has had two incidents where unfamiliar people entered his space, home unexpectedly and due to his anxiety his reaction was two minor bite incidents-in these scenarios, neither required medical treatment, but they are considered a bite history nonetheless. He is currently on medication to support his anxiety and his owners opted not to discontinue medication before sending him to training. Ideal Home: *Experienced dog owner (German Shepherd experience preferred) *Calm, structured household *someone confortable with management (crate/place,controlled introductions) *Adult0only home or older, dog-savvy children Gershwin is a loyal, thoughtful dog who will do best with someone who understands his nature and is willing to provide clear leadership and structure. If you are interested in learning more or think you may be a good fit, please reach out. We are committed to finding him the right home.

Story
Hunter & Marley This beautiful father–daughter duo lost everything when their beloved owner passed away. A devoted  local  family member stepped in and gave them a home for the past year, but with two dogs already and strict housing rules, they were left with an impossible choice. With heavy hearts, they had to say goodbye. Now Hunter and Marley are starting over…together, just like they’ve always been. Hunter ( black,  8.5 years, 55 lbs) is the gentle, steady dad  -  a black Lab/Shar Pei mix with the sweetest soul. Marley ( yellow,  6 years, 51 lbs) is his loyal girl, always by his side. Their bond is undeniable, and after all they’ve been through, we are determined to keep them together. Hunter came to us needing some extra care  -  he wasn’t neutered and suffers from entropion, a painful eyelid condition. We’ve taken care of his neuter and will be handling his eye surgery so he can finally feel comfortable and pain-free. Through it all, these two have remained incredibly loving, calm, and devoted to each other. They are the kind of dogs who just want a soft place to land, a family to love, and each other. After so much loss and change, Hunter and Marley deserve a forever home where they can stay side by side  -  safe, loved, and never separated again.  They would love a fenced yard to have room to roam and play. They are housebroken and walk pretty well on the leash.   If you have room in your heart and home for two amazing souls, please consider giving them the happy ending they’ve been waiting for.  *Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.May 13, 2026, 4:42 pm

Story
This dog is part of our shelter outreach program where we take dogs from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken.  They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Garland is an 8-month-old 30 lb Shiba Inu mix who’s as handsome as he is smart! This awesome boy already knows his basic commands and is eager to keep learning—he’d absolutely shine in obedience classes. Garland would love a home with a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and show off his playful side. He’s dog-friendly and would make a great companion for an active household ready to keep his sharp mind engaged. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent pup with tons of potential (and good looks to match!), Garland might just be your perfect match. *Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.May 13, 2026, 4:42 pm
