Story

Schmidt is a sweet energetic 4-5 year old Shepard mix. He’s built like a coyote, about 35-40 pounds, very fast and agile. My wife and I took him in when a friend of ours needed to rehome him, he wasn’t getting along with their two small dogs. He was the third dog in our household (one large male mix breed and one small female mix breed). It pains me so much to have to rehome him, but with a toddler and infant on the way, it’s our best path forward. The two males will sometimes fight over food and general dominance, and it has caused me to separate them most of the time, especially with little kids around. I’m reluctant to say he should be the only dog in a household, because he was very good 99% of the time. I would describe him as reactive, his fight or flight mechanism can be triggered by other dogs. Other than that he loves the outdoors, walks and basking in the sun just about all day.

This is Sandra, she is 3 and very badly needs a new foster due to a family illness. A forever home would be ideal, she is very sweet, and even though she lives with another dog now she would benefit from being the only dog. She would thrive in a low traffic home. She was rescued a few years ago from the ACC shelter and we do not want her to belong back there. Sandra knows commands, snuggles, plays, and loves walks. She is crate trained and goes to bed at 9 PM sharp in her crate. The biggest issue is that she is possessive of her person, and can exhibit aggression when guarding her person. She was given a two week e-collar training, which has worked beautifully for her. She’s a staffy, german sheppard, boston terrier mix. Fixed and has all shots too. Foster mom would pay for additional training sessions for the forever parent. Please contact me if you are interested ! We pulled her and her babies out of the kill shelter when puppies were 1 day old.  She was very scared and very upset to be dumped there.  Her babies have all since been adopted and she has started to come out of her shell.  She is going to be spayed up to date on shots and should be arriving in NJ shortly. Blue is a 2-3 years old purebred Husky, very puppy like and looking for a low traffic, kid free home, where he can the only pet. He would do best as an only pet. Please consider opening your heart and home to him, he’s a great dog that would do best with a Husky savvy owner Please fill out an application if interested Good with his person but needs decompression with new people and new surroundings. He shows some toy and bone aggression and his foster did work with a trainer with him. He likes walks but a fenced in yard would work best.
