Story
Hi, my name is Rocky. I am approximately four years old. I am a very obedient, good housebroken boy very affectionate and loving. I just don’t care to be in a home with children under 10 and definitely no other pets no dogs no cats. I need to be the only dog in that environment, I thrive and I’m a very very good boy. I have a home now, but there are two babies coming to live here and I cannot stay. Can you please help save me and adopt me

Story
Jimmy Dean is a miniature dachshund with one blue eye & one brown eye. He is fully grown at 11 lbs and this is the size he will be forever. He also answers to the names “Jimmy Jam” or “Jammers”. He is a very happy and loving companion. He will play with you all day and sleep with you all night if you let him. Unfortunately, I’m going through some health issues and we cannot give him all the attention he deserves. We want him to be adopted by a family/individual who will treat him like family and give him lots of love. He’s a bit particular when it comes to his sleeping accommodations. He likes to sleep on his little pillow that he’s had since birth or he likes to sleep on top of blankets, he doesn’t like to sleep directly on the floor. At night he either sleeps in his crate or in bed with my daughter. Our family is extremely sad that we have to rehome him, so we really need to find a genuinely caring family/individual who is going to give him the love and life he deserves!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. HELEN was saved from a kill shelter in Louisiana and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 10 October 2023. HELEN is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. She has an estimated date of birth of May 2023 and at the time of transport weighed around  34 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue     YouTube channel     and     photo albums on our Facebook page     to see a LOT of pictures and videos. HELEN is a sweet, affectionate, loving girl, who is full of that teenage energy. She is somewhat shy when she first meets people, or is in a new environment, but she is very gentle and will just go and hang out in a distance watching until she feels more confident. She has been around adults of all ages, shapes and sizes, small children and people with special needs and was gentle and loving. She is always wiggling her bum, which in-turn wiggles her whole body and she is definitely a favourite with volunteers and everyone that meets her. She came on our December outing to Bissell Brothers and was great on the leash, on the bus and around people. She is looking for an active family who can give her the lifestyle that she needs to lead a happy, healthy life.  We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. HELEN is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a reduced adoption  fee of $350. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats.
