Story
Please contact Vickie ( yardleydogs2@aol.com) for more information about this pet.  This handsome Australian Shepherd mix goes by the name of Ace.  Weighing about 50 pounds, he sports a long coat of chocolate and cream, a coat that needs to be brushed regularly so he can continue to keep his best.  Ace is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained.  He’s currently living with another dog, and they get along well, but we aren’t sure about cats or kids.  Ace can be a bit anxious at times and it’s then that you might find him in his safe place, his crate.  He would probably prefer a quiet home that isn’t too noisy.  Ace is a loving boy, one who would definitely make your life terrific!  (R, 2/27/24)    **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our wonderful dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our many years in rescue.** Adoption and transport:  250  April 26, 2024, 11:32 am

Story
Our dear Sadie is ready for a forever home to call her own. She is thought to be around 2 years old. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, has a microchip and overall in great health. She weighs 66 pounds, she needs to gain maybe 10 pounds. Sadie spent her short life in a puppy mill type situation. Sadie is a sweet loving girl. She needs time to trust and move forward. She is timid and shy but that is normal for Berners like Sadie who have spent their lives just having pups. She really does not care for loud male voices, she would do best with more mild manner males. Her forever family should be patient, patient, patient with her. While at the same time work with her to bring her forward a few steps each day. Her adopter will need to teach her all of those pesky house manners. She needs an adopter who will slowly introduce her to the world since it is all new to her. For this reason she is considered a flight risk at this time and requires a yard with 6 ft fencing. Sadie is not a fan of small animals of any shape or type, so no cats, small dogs or any other small animals in the home. She seems to do okay with big dogs. She is currently living with 2 male Berners. She is slowly starting to play with the Berners. She has never lived with small children. Small children will be too much for her to handle. Teenagers should be fine. Once Sadie begins to trust and bond with you, she is a love bug. She will lay with you for hours on the couch for pets. Sadie is a sweet girl who wants to forever home to call her own, one that will work with her and slowly introduce her to the world. We do not transport our Berners. Adopter should plan to travel to Sadie's foster home in Morrisville, PA to pick her up. Her adoption fee is $450.00. If you think Sadie just might be the girl for you, please complete our adoption application and submit to: info@bfwrescue.org.

Story
Hi everybody! My name is Lucky. I am a little nervous about being here because I am not as exciting as all the other doxies at DRBC and I am afraid no one will want to meet and love me. You see, I need a unique home. I need a fenced yard...I really do, because I love to run around and love to sit in the sun and tan. I am really a good boy and I have so much love to give. So if you have a little time to work with me and need some love here I am. Just fill in the application and then let's set that meet and greet date. I can hard wait. See you soon :)! I'll know you...you'll be that extra special human. Lucky is an 2 year old neutered black and tan male doxie who is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative and has been placed on the DRBC long life diet. Story
Hey Gang! It's me Bandit. I have stopped playing just long enough to chat with you, but I can't stay long, 'cause I have to get back to the action with my friends. I am after all, a 'game on' kind of guy. I am loving the Spring - I am spending it out running around with my foster brothers and sisters. My fun personality has made me a real hit in my foster home. Let's see....my hobbies include playing, running, jumping [I keep getting told no on that one] and giving out love and kisses. I am looking for a home to call my forever. Are you out there? Well if I sound like the kind of guy that would complete your life, get that application in! I hope to meet you real soon so we can start our own forever adventures together!
