Story
Monty was adopted as a puppy from a rescue that is no longer operating. His date of birth is 12/24/21 & weighs about 85 lbs. His Embark DNA says he’s a mix of Great Pyrenees, golden retriever, pitbull, lab, German shepherd, boxer. He’s playful & loving & loves people. He’s generally good with other dogs. We need to find a home better suited for him as an only dog or just no small dogs and older children who won’t get accidentally knocked over. We are seniors and due to his large size we are finding it more challenging to care for him. He has some resource guarding issues so he is fed separately which really helps with this particularly since we have two small dogs as well. Our grandson is now walking and at our house a lot therefore due to Monty’s size we are trying to avoid our grandson from being knocked over or hurt. Monty is an overall good boy and has a lot of love to give! He also needs a fenced in yard. We are happy to answer any questions about Monty.

Story
Rocky is a beautiful 2 year old aussiedoodle. He is an amazing dog for the right home. He is super smart, loyal, and loving. He is a Velcro dog to the person he connects with, meaning he will follow them everywhere. He is completely housebroken and knows many basic commands such as come, sit, roll over, off and paw. He is also a great guard dog. He will protect the home and does not let anyone in without knowing them first, or making sure it is ok with his family. Rocky is reactive with young children and unfortunately we were unable to train it out of him. The perfect home would be a couple or small family with older children and not a ton of commotion. We really want to find him a calmer and loving home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.NJ Meet Nyah – A Little Survivor with a Big Heart   She will be arriving in NJ on 6/27/26. If resilience had a face, it might look a lot like Nyah. This sweet young Jack Russell mix has already overcome more than any puppy should ever have to. Found as a stray, Nyah arrived needing help after battling demodex and recovering from a serious burn injury along her back. But despite everything she's been through, Nyah has held onto the most important thing of all - her joyful spirit. Today, Nyah is healthy, fully vetted, her demodex has cleared, and she's ready for the life every puppy deserves. Nyah is exactly what you'd hope for in a young dog: affectionate, playful, goofy, and always ready to have fun. She loves toys, enjoys being around people, and gets along well with other dogs. She approaches the world with curiosity and friendliness, proving every day that difficult beginnings don't define who she is. Like any puppy, Nyah is still learning the basics and is working on house training. She'll thrive with a family ready to guide her through puppyhood with patience, consistency, and lots of encouragement. At around 25 pounds now with some growing left to do, Nyah is shaping up to be the perfect size for adventures, couch cuddles, and everything in between. What Nyah needs most now isn't sympathy. It's a family. A family who sees her not for what happened to her, but for who she is: a happy, loving puppy who deserves safety, kindness, and a place to finally call home. Her story started with hardship. Help make sure the rest of it is filled with love. Nyah is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. Nyah has been spayed and has a microchip. Her adoption fee is $600.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 30, 2026, 8:40 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.NJ Meet Dominic! This boy will be in NJ on 6/27.  Meet Dominic — the Spotted Boy Wonder!  If joy had spots, it would look exactly like Dominic. This 2-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog never met a play session he didn’t love or a human he didn’t want to greet with a big goofy grin. He’s a social butterfly (or maybe a social cheetah?) who loves other dogs, belly rubs, and anything that squeaks. He’s also an inspiration in resilience—Dominic tested positive for heartworm, but he powered through treatment like a champ, thanks to his wonderful foster mom. Now he’s healthy, heartworm-free, and ready to move on to his next big adventure: finding his forever family.  If you’ve been looking for a four-legged best friend who makes every day brighter, Dominic is your guy. —you’ll fall for him faster than he chases tennis balls!  Dominic  is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. His adoption donation will be $500. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Gabriel is a happy boy who is looking for a home! He's currently with our rescue partners in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon with a foster or adopter.   Gabriel is a 65-pound certified couch potato with a heart of gold. At around 3–4 years old, this handsome pittie boy has mastered the art of chilling. He’s the kind of dog who’s perfectly content to lounge beside you, gently reminding you (okay, insisting) that belly rubs are not optional. Gabriel already knows how to sit, walks nicely on a leash, and brings an easygoing, peaceful energy wherever he goes. He loves his toys, never says no to a treat, and truly just wants a comfy spot to land and someone to love. And here’s the part we can’t quite understand — Gabriel has been sitting in boarding for far too long. No chaos, no drama… just a really good dog waiting patiently while the world passes him by. If you’ve been searching for a loyal, low-key companion who’s happiest by your side (preferably on a couch), Gabriel is your guy. He doesn’t need much — just a home, some love, and plenty of belly rubs. Let’s get this sweet boy out of boarding and into the home he deserves. Gabriel is fixed, microchipped and up to date on rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. He tested negative for heartworm and his adoption donation is $500 . Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.
