Story
My name is Zuko and I am a 2 year old Pitbull Mix tipping the scales at 67 pounds. I’m a resilient guy looking for some stability after first being found as a stray and later bounced around to households that truly didn’t understand how nervous I could be in a new place. While my friends at the MCSPCA have been nothing but kind, shelter life has made me a bit anxious. Quick zoomies and active play help me to release some of my stress and nervous energy. Just watch out, I may literally sweep you off your feet with my speedy maneuvering. If you are looking for an active companion, I sure do fit the bill! Before we embark on fun adventures together, I’m asking that my adopter have patience with me. With time, understanding, and lots of attention, I will prove just how much love I have to give. It may not happen overnight, but once I feel comfortable and can relax peacefully, I will be your loyal best friend. It’s pretty much guaranteed that I’ll bring infinite joy into your life! I would prefer to be the only spoiled pet in the home, so I could enjoy all the attention and affection for myself. Experience with endless energy and strong toy play would be beneficial. Although since I love my treats, training with me will be a piece of cake. oooh cake….now I’m hungry! Come take a chance on me, you will be glad you did! Interested in this young, handsome, happy dude? The Monmouth County SPCA is open for walk-ins every day, starting at noon!

Story
I’m Troy, a 2½-year-old Pitbull weighing 62 pounds. After being found as a stray, likely hit by a car, I was brought to the MCSPCA for some good old-fashioned TLC! I’m now all healed up and ready for my forever! My unfortunate past has made me a little cautious around new faces, but my friends here at the shelter have been helping me learn strangers aren’t so scary. For us to bond properly, I would love if my adopters took their time and went slow. Building trust is important and I want us to start out on the right foot. Once I warm up to you though, watch out! I’m one goofy and mushy land seal that enjoys attention and pets. Toys? The squeakier the better! I even love walking on leash with some of my favs in my mouth. Call them my emotional support toys if you will! I would also do best as the only pet in the home, being spoiled rotten! If you are looking for a handsome lap-dog to crash on your couch, I’m your dude! The Monmouth County SPCA is open for walk-ins every day, starting at noon!

Story
I’m Polly Pocket, a 2-year-old Pitbull weighing 41 pounds. Found as a stray, it’s now time for me to find my forever! New faces and places can make me anxious, so my adopters need to understand that it will take time to bond with me. After all, good things come to those who wait! Proving just how much potential I truly have, I’ve connected with some friendly faces here at the shelter where I love our walks together or just sitting on a bench where we can both enjoy the sunshine or people-watch. Once I warm up, you’ll see that this spunky gal enjoys her playtime. But it’s best that we keep it low-key as I can get amped up quick! I have played with some pups here at the shelter and was in foster with another dog and even cats! So, it’s a possibility I could go home with another well-matched compatible canine companion or feline friends! If you want a peppy, high-spirited pittie, then I’m your girl! The Monmouth County SPCA is open for walk-ins every day, starting at noon!

Story
I’m Iggy Pop, a 2-year-old Shar Pei/ Terrier Mix weighing 50 pounds. Found as a stray by a kind “good sam”, I was in pretty rough shape. Thanks to my friends here at the MCSPCA, I’m back on my feet, ready to go on tour and find my forever home! Like a true punk rocker, I can get easily rowdy on my walks if I get bored or frustrated. In the meantime, while my adopters help with my leash walking skills, a yard for me to run around in would be a dream lifestyle for me! Need an autograph or a selfie? No problem! I’m never one to shy away from my fans, oops I mean people. One social dude, I love seeking attention and affection from everyone I meet…..especially my foster parents! Being in a home, giving me a break from shelter life has been invigorating! While I have free roam of the home, I generally spend most of my day napping in my bed or running in the fenced yard. I love toys, but will rip them apart, so it’s best to constantly have a backup for me. I don’t want to brag, but I’m also a smart guy with major stage presence. My fosters reported back that I know cues such as Sit, Down, Paw, Spin, Roll Over, Crawl, Stay, Come and Go to Bed. The possibilities are endless with what else I’m able to learn! Always wanted a pittie with a fun loving melody for life? The Monmouth County SPCA is open for walk-ins every day, starting at noon!

Story
I’m Flora, a 2-year-old Pitbull weighing 46 pounds. Found as a stray, I’m now seeking a warm, loving forever home! This confident beauty queen loves her play time. Especially with toys I can shake and rattle, so let’s roll! Toy play helps to reduce my stress levels, so a yard to run and get my energy out would be ideal. I can be a bit bouncy, so best to watch your face when I get super excited. During mealtime, I would like a table for one please! I tend to enjoy my meals solo, so my adopters should not interfere with me food until my belly is full and I’ve paid the check! For some exercise, I have played with some pups here at the shelter, so it’s a possibility I could go home with another well-matched compatible canine friend! If you want a go-getter gal in your life? Then I'm the one for you! The Monmouth County SPCA is open for walk-ins every day, starting at noon!

Story
I’m Lloyd, a 2 ½ year old polite Mixed Breed weighing 31 pounds. Originally from Thailand, I’ve made the long journey to find my forever home with the help of the SOI Dog Foundation. Relocating to the United States has been an eye-opening experience as this has been a completely new world for me. A bit nervous and anxious, I’m a sensitive fella looking for patient adopters who understand that I need time to get used to new places and new faces. I do frighten easily, so best to have a good handle on me during walks. If I’m spooked I will turn into a track star and bolt. In order for us to build a trusting relationship, a quiet and calm approach would be best. I’ll warm up with gentle coaxing and gentle pets. In time I will your loyal companion, but we’ll just need to take baby steps in the beginning. Nice and slow is the way to go! To help me build confidence, I was placed in a loving foster home where I am thriving! I’m learning to come out of my shell and even play with my fellow canine roommate in our fenced yard! Interested in showing me the ropes here in New Jersey? The Monmouth County SPCA is open for walk-ins every day, starting at noon!
