Story
Wilma was adopted when she was one year old from Wet Nose Rescue. She loves to play and to sleep, then play and then sleep. She is very loving, wags her tail with profuse enthusiasm whenever you get home. She has spent extensive time in the presence of kids, cats, and other dogs. I unfortunately have had to move to a location where her breed is not permitted. She's lived in townhouses and now an apartment but would also love a home with lots of activity. She loves to snuggle and get her belly rubbed. And of course treats.

Story
Bentley is a male red Moyen Poodle, born September 19, 2025, with an estimated adult size of 25 to 30 lbs. He's a beautiful pup with an even better temperament: smart, sweet, playful, patient, and very easy to train. Has also been great with kids. Reason for rehoming: This is no fault of Bentley a wonderful puppy. Our family realized we weren't ready for the time and consistency a puppy needs right now, so we're finding him the right long-term home. He is already crate trained, can alerts when he needs to go out, is comfortable on leash and used to regular grooming. Looking for a home that wants a true companion, has time for continued training and a puppy routine, understands poodle grooming needs. The rehoming fee helps ensure a serious, committed home and supports the costs already invested in his care (vaccines, microchip, quality breeding from Sunshine Acres, etc.)

Story
Meet Bernard - small dog, big mystery, zero compliance.Bernard is a shih tzu/poodle mix with main character energy and absolutely no interest in your rules.Bernard is playful. Bernard is spunky. Bernard is...somewhere else mentally. We're not entirely sure he even understands English. Or Spanish. Or French. (seriously, we have employees and volunteers fluent in each...Bernard gives us NOTHING.) When you call his name, he DOES hear you - he just chooses to continue doing whatever extremely important thing he was already doing. And honestly? We respect it.This tiny enigma zips around with joyful chaos, inventing his own games, chasing toys like they owe him money, and generally living life on Bernard Time™️. He doesn't listen - he collaborates selectively. Training him may feel less like giving commands and more like negotiating with a very fluffy diplomat. But here's the thing: underneath the aloof, independent, "I'll get back to you" exterior is a ridiculously fun, lively little dog who keeps life interesting. He's playful, he's animated, and he brings just the right amount of delightful nonsense to your day. Bernard isn't for someone who wants blind obedience. Bernard is for someone who appreciates a free spirit. A quirky king. A small dog with big "I do what I want" energy. If you're ready to share your home with a spunky little wildcard who may or may not understand you but is absolutely doing his best - Bernard is waiting. Probably not paying attention. But waiting. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org. Story
Meet Amira: A gentle soul ready to bloom.Amira's story began alongside her siblings on the streets of Puerto Rico, where survival meant staying close and staying cautious. Life began with much uncertainty, but even in those early days, Amira carried a softness about her - a quiet, watchful sweetness that makes you lean in a little closer.Like her sister, Amira is shy when first meeting new people or exploring new spaces. She takes her time. She studies. She listens. But behind those thoughtful eyes is a curious puppy who WANTS to be brave. You can see it in the way she lingers instead of retreating, in the way her tail gives small, hopeful sways.Amira isn't looking for the loudest home or the busiest, most active one. She's looking for patience and understanding. With consistency and love, she will grow into the secure, devoted companion she is capable of becoming. Amira is ready for a family that sees her not for the hesitation she carries now, but for the extraordinary dog she is becoming. If you believe in nurturing potential and celebrating small victories, Amira is ready to start her next chapter with you.If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org. Story
***Adoption fee WAIVED***You don't need to be Jon Snow to adopt this Ghost - I promise, no Night's Watch oath required! I'm a striking Siberian Husky with a love for the great outdoors and plenty of energy to spare. Whether we're going for a walk, playing in the yard, or just hanging out together, I enjoy spending time with my people. That said, I do have an independent streak-classic Husky behavior, of course! Sometimes I like to do my own thing, but don't worry, I'll always circle back to check in on my favorite humans.I'm looking for an active home that understands my adventurous spirit and appreciates a dog with both brains and personality. I'd love a family that will keep me engaged, take me on outdoor adventures, and respect my occasional need for "me time." If you're looking for a fun-loving, intelligent, and slightly mysterious best friend, then I just might be the Ghost you've been searching for!Ghost is great with people and kids. A rock star! We take him to group events and he charms everyone he meets! He is best as your only pet. Story
Meet Rugga - smart, social, and always on the go.Rugga is a clever, energetic boy who loves people more than just about anything. He was surrendered when his owners could no longer care for him and is now looking for an active home that enjoys an engaged, people-focused dog.In the yard, Rugga burns energy with zoomies and ball chasing, but he's never too far from his human companion. After playtime, he happily returns for belly rubs and back scratches. On walks, his nose is always down searching and exploring, and his intelligence as a working dog shows as he checks in often and wants to do the right thing.Rugga is not a couch potato, but is happy to hang out for cuddles once he gets his brain moving and gets the energy out. He will thrive in an environment with exercise, enrichment and continued training. He loves to flex his obedience skills showing of his sit, down, paw, and even smile commands. He gets along with other dogs, seems ok with cats, and even good with children; Rugga is the complete package for a loving and loyal family dog.If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org.
