Story
This dog is part of our shelter outreach program where we take dogs from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken.  They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.  Bella has been settling in and doing great since her return to us.  She has been making friends with our volunteers and staff.  It's getting much easier to leash her up once she gets to know you.  We know she will make a great companion in the right home.  We want to set her up for success so she would be best as the only pet in an active home which will take her for plenty of walks and give her lots of daily exercise.    Our staff has been working with her and we have been making positive strides and we know if a potential adopter reinforces the structure and training, she will be just fine.  Bella is 2 years old and 20lbs and ready for another chance at a family.     Update 7-15-22 Sadly Bella has been returned after being adopted one year ago.  She is about a little over 1 1/2 years old and 20lbs.  Still full of energy for sure.  Her adopters had too much going on on their home between 2 young children and a new baby to give Bella the time, exercise and training she needs.  We don't want to give up on this girl so we are in search of a new home for her.  We are looking for dog savvy people who will give this girl the structure she needs.  She is understandably nervous here and putting a collar around her neck and leashing her up is somehow triggering her.  Our staff has been working with her and we have been making positive strides and we know if a potential adopter reinforces the structure and training, she will be just fine. Bella will need a home with lots of love and patience to help her.  If you think you can help Bella, please apply online or call our office for more information.  Kids 15+        *Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.October 3, 2023, 4:47 pm

Cafe has been here for 8 months and is overlooked because he does not show well in his kennel. This handsome boy is only a year old. Please don't judge shelter animals by their kennel appearance, you may just be passing over the opportunity to find your best friend. Please- they need help, patience and understanding.   Cafe would do well in a home with an active lifestyle, whether that be going on runs, hikes, or long walks. He would also benefit from a home that is committed to providing him with plenty of training and mental stimulation to keep his mind active. Due to his high energy level, he would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard, where he can safely play and exercise.   We think he may have some Pharoah Hound in him.  If you are interested in meeting Cafe, please fill out an online application. We are confident you will fall in love with his awesome personality and adorable big ears!!   Approx. 1 year old, 50lbs.  Came to us from the Puerto Rico via the Sato Project.  This handsome boy has extra-high energy needs.  He would be happy with an active owner who will take him for runs or hiking.   Fenced yard, Pre-registered obedience classes required. *Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.October 3, 2023, 4:47 pm

We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken.  They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.  Update 8-1-23 Guess what? The sibling of Ruby and Diamond who was adopted had a DNA test done and it came back 96% Carolina dog. These dogs are prevalent in the Southeast and are known to be loyal to their humans and make great family pets. These adorable sisters have been patiently waiting for their forever home for 3 whole months! Their brother was adopted but they are still here!! They're young, active, and ready to bring endless love and joy to your life.  Ruby and Diamond will thrive with regular exercise and training. They're eager to learn new tricks and make memories with their perfect family. Give these precious pups the loving home they deserve. Don't let them wait any longer! Adopt Ruby or Diamond today and experience the pure happiness they'll bring into your life.    Flint, Ruby, and Diamond are three adorable puppy siblings in a shelter waiting for their forever home. They are 5 months old and are Shepherd husky mixes with a gemstone theme to their names. They were left in a box in front of a piggly wiggly in TN when they were only a few weeks old, and now they need experienced and caring homes to take care of them. These puppies are going to be big - they are expected to grow to 50lbs when fully grown. As Shepherd husky mixes, they will need plenty of exercise and playtime to keep them happy and healthy. Potential adopters should be aware of this and ensure they have enough space and time to dedicate to these pups. Flint, Ruby, and Diamond are also in need of experienced dog owners. They are young and have a lot to learn, so their new owners should be willing to invest time and patience into training them. It is essential that they attend obedience classes to ensure they grow into well-behaved adult dogs. Due to their size and energy, these puppies are best suited for homes with children who are 15 and up. They may accidentally knock over younger children or become too boisterous for them to handle. If you are interested in adopting Flint, Ruby, and Diamond, please consider all of these factors carefully. These puppies are looking for loving and responsible homes where they will be cared for and given the attention they deserve.*Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.October 3, 2023, 4:47 pm
