Story
Meet Thor! Thor is a 3 year-old Bulldog/pit mix who loves adventure! He want to be going somewhere and doing something with his people! He is very smart and pays close attention to his surrounding. He would thrive in a home that wants to teach him new tricks and take him new places! He is still learning to stay calm when he sees something that excites him, and will need continued training for this. Thor is a very friendly, playful pup, but does seem to prefer female pups. We always recommend a meet n greet with your current dog to ensure that they are a good match! He may be too energetic for small children, so he should be in a home with older children only. He has been around cats and doesn't seem to be bothered by them. He does love to cuddle and loves affection. He also loves going on walks and playing ball and does very well in the car. He can be easily distracted though, and will often bark at people or animals when he's looking out the window. Thor is working on crate training, which is a slow introduction to being in the crate when his people are home, leaving the door open with things that he loves inside, so that he sees the crate is a good safe place for him. He is potty trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. Exercise is important for Thor, as he loves to be doing something, with both his mind and body! He has a moderate to high activity level, so he needs 1-3 hours of moderate activity, like walking or playing ball, or 1-2 hours of high activity, like jogging, running and learning. Thor needs a fenced yard where he can run and play safely. If you think Thor would be the perfect pup for you, please fill out an application by clicking on the below link https://www.coopersafeplace.org/application-page Thor's adoption fee is $200 and due on the day of adoption.

Meet Ridge! Ridge is a Mini Australian Shepard Pit mix who was surrendered by a family unable to care for an accidental litter. He came to us with two siblings, Raine and Canyon and they are just as sweet! He is 6 months old, and approximately 20lbs. Ridge is so unbelievably cute and his foster family describes him as sweet and playful! He loves playing with his toys and bones and also loves snuggling up next to his people! He loves playing in the back yard with his puppy brothers and getting lots of love and kisses!!! Ridge is a pretty active puppy, so he will need regular walks to help him be his best! A fenced yard would also be best for him so that he can have plenty of running and play time! Ridge loves all people including children and other dogs! He is in a foster home with other dogs and cats and he absolutely loves them! He has potty training almost mastered, with few accidents. Story
Meet Bear! Bear is such a beautiful dog with the sweetest golden brown eyes! He is a 1 year old happy, energetic and very smart Border Collie/German Shepherd mix and is on the smaller size, at 40lbs. We pulled Bear from a Kentucky shelter where he was on the Euthanasia list due to overcrowding. Bear is very playful and loving, and is a great balance of cuddles and adventure! He loves going on walks and running and playing in the back yard, but he also loves to snuggle up at the end of the day! He is learning to walk calmly on a leash, and gets very excited for adventures! Bear is in a Foster home with a cat sister and loves playing with her! He is very gentle and is always interested in hanging out with her! Bear may be best with female dogs as he seems to be selective with some males. He can be timid when meeting new dogs on walks, so he would need proper introductions. Bear's breed does require a lot of exercise, so he would need to have a fully fenced yard and would also require regular walks. Bear is young so adequate exercise keeps him from getting bored and helps him be on his best behavior! He may be a little too much for young children as he still jumps and will need to be trained so that he understands not to jump and other basic manners. He would also do best in a family that is very active! Bear is crate trained and potty trained, and is eager to learn new things! If you are interested in meeting Bear, you can fill out an application here and we can schedule a meet and greet! https://www.coopersafeplace.org/application-page Bear's adoption fee is $450 and due on the day of adoption.
