Story
Meet Brooks! Brooks came to us coated in cuts in various stages of healing some of them infected, and scars on top of scars. He was abandoned alongside the highway in Harmony township, and left at the mercy of strangers to save him from being hit – thankfully they did. Brooks is an amazing dog, he is loyal, he is loving, he is cuddly, and he is funny without even meaning to be. But he is also loud, he is also strong, and he is dog selective if they're the same size or larger than him. Brooks is 3-5 years old (many of his teeth are missing so telling his exact age is difficult) and is a bully/pittie mix, and is roughly 50lbs of pure muscle. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines including rabies, microchipped, and on heartworm protection. Brooks is house trained but will have accidents if it’s over 10 hours, he does NOT do well in the car, and does poorly on a leash but we’re working on that! His adoption fee is $150. If you’re interested in adopting Brooks please fill out this form https://www.cognitoforms.com/anythingspawsibleanimalresourcecenter/dogadoptionapplicationover6months and email us at aparcmiranda@gmail.com! Meet and greets will take place in Clark County, OH. Here is some more info about Brooks! Brooks would do best in a home with no dogs over 30lbs as he can become very dominate around dogs the same size or larger than him, especially if they are not completely submissive. He would also do best if he lived with someone who worked from home, or is that comfortable with not crating him as he experiences anxiety when crated. He also needs a fenced in yard (ideally 6ft) because he is just so social, he will go visit his neighbors and hang out on the porch like they’re life long friends. Brooks NEEDS there to be a child in the home, as he loves children the most. He also is a pretty big fan of small dogs, but may give chase to cats at first. We know this is a lot, but Brooks has been through a lot and deserves the perfect home!

Story
Meet Nicole! This gorgeous girl is roughly a year old and had a rough start! She came into APARC’s care with weighing only 29lbs and with a body score of 1.5 after being abandoned alone in an apartment in South Charleston and now she is ready for a family to call her own! Nicole is female pitty mix, who is roughly a year old and weighs around 40lbs (she’s still gaining weight). She’s housebroken, crate trained, and good with kids, other dogs, and anyone who loves to cuddle! Her adoption fee is $250 If you’re interested in adopting Nicole please fill out this form https://www.cognitoforms.com/anythingspawsibleanimalresourcecenter/dogadoptionapplicationover6months and email us at aparcmiranda@gmail.com! Meet and greets will take place in Champaign or Clark county OH. Here is a little bit about her, according to her foster family! “Firstly, I’d say Nicole is resilient. What could have turned most dogs against people, she didn’t let that bring down her spirit! We have learned, more than anything, she just wants to be loved and wants to love on her people! She isn’t shy whatsoever to let you know when she could use a good cuddle or a nap! Chew toys are a must for her!! I have yet to see her come across a toy she didn’t like. She gets along with other dogs, once she learns her place in the pack. She has done great with our large dogs but it did take a couple weeks for her to realize our small dog wasn’t a walking toy. *I feel she would be best in a home with dogs her size or larger.* She does well with kids, she was very receptive to our 6 year old and other children who have been around her since being with us. She does well on a leash and with going into her crate. She learns new things easily and best follows rules when she knows she will be rewarded with a treat! Sunshine is one of her favorites! On sunny days you’ll find her at the warmest sunspot soaking in all the rays! I feel she would be be happiest with someone who has lots of time to show her affection and can provide her with an active lifestyle Oh how could I forget… she also smiles when she’s suuupppperrrr excited!”
