Story

Roscoe is a 4/5 year old Spitz mix. He was in a kill shelter in Kentucky and somehow ended up in Preble County Humane Society. He is a very loving dog, and enjoys walks very much. He is a face in your lap dog who loves personal contact. Roscoe has displayed some aggression towards our small dogs that were already in the home when we took him in. He’s in need of a loving home. Preferably a single dog household.

Story

Hello. We are in the unfortunate situation where we need to surrender our lab. My wife is no longer able to stay at home with him and he has bad separation anxiety. We have tried medications and crate training but he becomes self injurious in his attempts to get out. We just want him to have a good life and not but in a kennel 8 hours a day. He is 3 and is the sweetest boy. He is great with other dogs, kids and cats. He just needs a farm or land to run around on or someone who is able to work from home. Unfortunately when we adopted him this information was not disclosed. Thank you.

Hi there, this is Buggs! He loves to cuddle and press his mouth up to the cage and show his smile lol. Hes energetic but he is about 3-31/2 yrs old so not as energetic as when he was younger. He will stay by you without a leash and listen to his name. He can be a bit protective of his food with other dogs. He’s fine with humans messing with his food. I would recommend feeding him separate from other dogs as he gets along great with dogs in general! He’s been kennel kept partially-partially indoor kept. He would make a great alarm dog if you have property. He’s normally quiet unless you try playing with him but when he was in our double kennel he would let us know before we even knew that someone pulled in our driveway or if a neighbors dog wandered. He’s great for indoor kept as well, housebroken. He came to us because someone couldn’t care for him and now we aren’t able to give him time and attention, working a lot. he is a sweet boy and very very goofy!

Jax is a 5-year-old Pit Bull/Australian Cattle Dog mix that we adopted from the Montgomery County Animal Shelter in Conroe, Texas, when he was about 7 months old. He is incredibly loyal and forms strong bonds with his people. He loves squeaky toys, going for walks, and spending time with his family. He’s also a great companion around the house and enjoys relaxing after he’s had some exercise.We are looking for a home with an experienced dog owner who understands reactive dogs and is willing to continue working with him. Jax can be fearful and reactive around strangers, especially men and fast-moving people such as cyclists, so he needs careful introductions and ongoing management. Because of this, he would do best in an adult-only home with no young children and someone who can provide a structured environment.This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but we want to find him a home where he can be successful and get the attention and experience he deserves.
