Most likely beagle! She is a sweet girl who came to us from a local shelter. She is good with other dogs, not cat tested, and housebroken! She is not a fan of the crate but will go in when needed. She has not been crated at her foster home and does fine. She will need a home with a fenced in yard and her adoption fee is $300. She is currently in the Dayton area. Please apply at ohiobassetrescue.com Adoption Process: To meet one our dogs you must first fill out our application on our website ohiobassetrescue.com. Once submitted one of our volunteers will reach out to you. Upon approval you will be given an approval code to email us at ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com. Approvals are good for 6 months for any current or future dogs. After 6 months you will be directed to fill out an updated application. Please note we only process applications where the adopter lives in OH, IN, KY, PA, WV, lower MI. Adopters must be willing to travel to meet the dog they are adopting. Dogs locations are listed on their profile description on our website. Dogs are NOT all located in Brookville, that is our mailing address. He is a four year-old basset hound looking for a new home! Sunny came to us from a local shelter in the St. Louis area after losing his home when his parents fell on hard times. He is a sweet boy and does good with other dogs, and is in a foster home with cats. He shows interest in them but is fine. He is house trained and crate trained but is a counter surfer! Sunny is neutered and up-to-date on shots and micro chipped. His adoption fee is $300 and he will require a home with a fenced in yard. He is currently located in the Columbus area. He is scheduled for a dental on Sept 30 and will be available soon after. Adoption Process: Apply online at ohiobassetrescue.com. This sweet boy is housebroken and crate trained, gets along great with other dogs! He is good around cats but likes to play with them so he would need to go to a home with dog friendly cats. We are listing him as older children only not that he doesn’t get along with them, just that he’s a very energetic little chap who will send those munchkins flying like he’s a bowling ball and just got a strike! Hank loves to cuddle, and especially loves to sleep with you under the covers! He is a total ladies man! Loves his treats and loves his cuddles! His adoption fee is $300 and he will require a home with a fenced in yard. Handsome Hank is currently located in the Columbus area. Cali is a loving, loyal girl who has been part of our family for almost 9 years. She can take a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, you’re her favorite person. She’s a huge cuddler, loves affection, listens incredibly well, and just wants to be close to her people.She’s also an amazing walker! She walks beautifully on a leash, listens well, and we’ve never had issues with her while walking.We want to be completely transparent that Cali has a history of resource guarding, primarily involving other dogs, which has led to multiple fights with another dog in our home. Because of this, we believe she would do best as the only dog. An experienced home able to safely separate dogs and work with a qualified trainer may also be appropriate.Outside of resource-guarding situations, Cali is incredibly affectionate, obedient, and loving. We’re hoping to find her a patient, experienced home where she can feel safe and thrive. She bonds deeply and will be an incredibly loyal best friend.
