Story
This boy wandered onto our property a month ago, we believe he was dumped. He has no chip, no tags and we have tried everything to find the owner to no avail. He seems to be very young. He does well and is quiet in a crate, additionally he is house trained. I would say he does not do well with cats, as he has been attacked by our cat several times because he won’t leave her alone and is hyper focused on her. He definitely needs training and lots of attention. He is super great to play outside with, loves to play fetch-- and we have seen no aggression he loves when people come over. We tried to keep him but unfortunately, our other dogs are not a fan of his big energy. It is not fair to him to be left alone downstairs while we are doing other things around the house and he just needs a good family. He seriously loves to cuddle and is so sweet and happy. We have been calling him Vince aka Vinny.

Story
Apollo is a St. Bernard/cane corso mix Born July 20th 2024 and is currently 1 year. He is around 100 lbs and is expected to get around 30 lbs bigger but unsure. He is up to date on all vaccines and can give vet records. He is also neutered. Apollo is a very sweet and loving dog that doesn’t know his size and thinks he’s smaller than he is. He is a very happy and healthy dog, he loves toys and is very treat motivated, he is not food aggressive at all, he is a very anxious dog so he does bark at everything and it seems aggressive but he has never bitten anyone. We really want to find a good home for him where he has a big back yard or plenty of space to roam around and be free preferably someone who is home a lot bc he needs a lot of training and a lot of attention. He is a very good dog and deserves a better home, we are only asking a small fee to make sure he goes to the best home

She is an overall good dog but she was chosen by my mom and when she moved out, she left her. I do not have the money or the time to take care of her. She needs a nice home with or without kids. She aims to please and likes walks. She comes with a kennel, a jacket and a sweater, and any food that's still left.

Story
I am an amazing little boy looking for my special forever home. My name is Teddy, and they say I am about 1 years old. I was brought into rescue because I was on a busy street and a good person saw me and scooped me up so I didn’t get hurt. I had no idea where I was, and I was so scared. When I arrived at my foster home, they took me to the doctors to get a check up and found out I am a special boy. They had taken me to a specialist to ensure I would be ok. It was found that I have something called a neurological disorder. The doctor said I was probably born this way, but I don’t know any different. I just know that I love everyone! Because of this issue I can not see very well but I am a very smart boy and learn my surroundings. I have even learned to go up the stairs (outside on their deck) during the day at my fosters house. Nighttime I have a harder time, so my foster mom helps me. I haven’t mastered going down because I get quite scared I will fall. I am good boy and go potty outside as long as you keep me on schedule I can follow. I do wish to have a friend to play with. I love to play with my foster sisters and brothers. I would prefer a smaller friend to play with as big friends scare me. Don’t let my age fool you though. I love to snuggle with my foster mom and dad. Whenever they are sitting and relaxing, I prefer to be doing that with them. Do you have a special place for me to continue to learn? If so, please fill out an application and my foster mom will be in contact with you. Gets along with other dogs? Yes, with smaller dogs Gets along with cats? Yes Gets along with other pets? Story
$800 adoption fee is for both pups! Meet Madea & Gumbo! This beautiful bonded pair found themselves in the county shelter due to the death of their owner. Madea & Gumbo spent several days in the home with their deceased owner until they were finally discovered during a welfare check. A concerned family member reached out to SRC and put us in contact with that shelter, and the rest is history. Now completely utd on vaccines, spayed and neutered, chipped, and on prevention. These cute kids are housebroken and ready to find their family together. Madea (grey) 1 year/8 lbs. These two kids are playful in the day and snuggle bugs at night. They love to play and would be the perfect duo for any family. They would do best in a home with a fenced yard. They walk great on a leash, get along with other dogs and older children. If you think you’d be a great home for these pups fill out the application below. Gets along with other dogs? Yes Gets along with cats? Unknown Gets along with other pets? Unknown Suitable for kids? Story
Hi everyone, I’m Oscar. I’m almost three years old. I’m a very sweet boy, I love to try to get the old men in my foster home to play with me, but they’re not very interested. I’d love to have a playmate and my foster mom says I must have a fenced in yard so I can run and work off some of my energy. I love to cuddle with my foster mom and give kisses to all. I really like people and am a good boy – most of the time. I get really scared at the vet and groomer; I don’t try to bite or anything, but my doctor says I flail (whatever that means), so I have to take some drugs to calm me down a bit, and I get groomed at the vet. I’d love to find my forever home soon! From mom:  Oscar is quite the character. He’s house and crate trained, neutered, chipped and is current on his vaccines and heartworm meds. Oscar must have a fenced yard, he walks and potties fine on a leash, but he really needs to let off some energy (or he will let it off in the house!). Oscar came from a bad situation, and gets scared at the vet and groomer. I have groomed him a couple times (clean ups), but for a full groom, he is sedated at the vet. I have tried the mobile groomer (he does get carsick), but the clippers and scissors freak him out, and the groomers (we’ve tried a couple), are worried he’ll injure himself trying to get away. He has been boarded several times and does very well. He loves people and is very friendly and social with other dogs (he drives the old men here crazy). No idea with cats (he might give chase) but I don’t think he’d know what to do if he caught one. He loves to look at the deer that come in the yard. I think he’d be great with older kids (10+), I’d be worried he might knock smaller kids over though. He’s very athletic and can jump and climb, so any fence needs to be an appropriate height. He loves his food and especially his cookies. He doesn’t really have any interest in toys, I’m not sure he understands what they are. I think Oscar would do best with a doggie buddy who can show him the ropes. He’s good inside (unless energy!) and doesn’t chew or get into things he shouldn’t. Oscar’s adoption fee is only $350. He is fostered in Michigan, so is enjoying the snow. Oscar needs someone to work with him and have patience while he’s settling in and getting used to a new home. I also think training would be helpful (he loves to be busy, so redirecting him would be a great thing). Oscar just needs love and the ability to sleep on the couch. If you think you’d be a great fit please fill out the application to start the process. Gets along with other dogs? Yes Gets along with cats? Unknown Gets along with other pets?
