Story
Location: Dayton, OH Food: Beef Based Diet Medication: NexGard Plus Meet Liza Jane 💕 Liza Jane is a petite, two-year-old exotic bulldog girl with a heart that shines brighter than her past. Though her early days were marked by hardship, this little survivor has blossomed into a joyful, loving companion who is ready to start her happily-ever-after. When Liza Jane first arrived in rescue, she was coming from very difficult circumstances. She had been malnourished and was battling a painful uterine infection. It’s clear that life hadn’t always been kind to her—but you would never guess it by the sparkle in her eyes today. With proper medical care, nourishing meals, and lots of gentle love, Liza Jane has made an incredible recovery. She has stepped bravely out of her past and into a brand-new chapter filled with hope. Small in size but mighty in spirit, Liza Jane doesn’t let anything slow her down. She is energetic and absolutely loves her walks! She’s still learning the ropes when it comes to leash manners, but she approaches every outing with enthusiasm and curiosity. With a little patience and consistency, she will continue to improve each day. Liza Jane is also working hard on her potty training. When given frequent opportunities and regular walks, she does very well going potty outside. She just needs a family who will continue that consistent routine and celebrate her successes along the way. At home, Liza Jane enjoys the balance of playtime and lazy snuggle sessions. She hasn’t quite discovered the magic of toys yet—perhaps no one ever showed her how fun they can be—but with time, encouragement, and a loving family, we’re confident she’ll learn that toys can be just as joyful as belly rubs and cozy naps. She is beginning to learn her manners in her foster home and will need a family committed to continuing that training. The good news? Liza Jane is very treat-motivated, which makes her eager to learn and responsive to positive reinforcement. With consistency and kindness, she will thrive. Liza Jane’s journey is a beautiful reminder of resilience. Despite everything she has endured, she greets life with excitement and an open heart. Now all she needs is a forever family to show her that her hardest days are behind her—and that her future is filled with long walks, soft beds, patient guidance, and endless love. If you’re ready to help this brave little girl continue her transformation, Liza Jane is ready to meet you. 🐾💕 ***Adoption Process*** -All current pets in the home need to be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and on veterinarian prescribed flea/tick/heart worm prevention. -Everyone living in the home, including all resident dogs, must be present at the meet and greet located in the Southwest Ohio area. -We DO NOT ship dogs!!!

Story
Location: Dayton, OH Food: Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein Medication: NexGard Plus Hi. I’m Derek. I’m three years old, French, and extremely soft—like velvet chocolate cloud soft. Please be respectful. I’ve had a bit of a glow-up medically. My nares and palate have been fixed, I’m neutered, and my ears had a TECA procedure after some really nasty infections. Because of that, I’m mostly deaf now—but don’t panic. I’m very good at watching my people for cues. If you move, I notice. If you sit, I appear. If you open cheese… I am already there. I like other dogs just fine, but if I’m being honest? People are my favorite. I don’t need to be an only dog, but I would also thrive as the center of your universe. I do require a fenced yard, mostly because I enjoy frequent outdoor visits. I have a small bladder and prefer not to hold important things like that. Food-wise, I’m currently on a hydrolyzed diet. I had an allergic reaction a few weeks ago (rude mystery, never identified), but I’m all better now. My diet is very exclusive: hydrolyzed food and cheese. This arrangement is non-negotiable. I am crate-trained, an excellent snuggler, and deeply devoted to my people. I will press myself against you like I’m trying to merge souls. That’s just how I love. Full transparency: I’ve had a little phase where I tried marking a few spots in the house. I’ve since been closely supervised (apparently tethered friendships are a thing), and I’m doing much better. I just need someone who watches me closely and takes me outside often. Fair trade, honestly. I’m not perfect—but I am gentle, affectionate, loyal, and very serious about cuddling. If you want a soft, soulful Frenchie who will watch you constantly and love you deeply, I think we should meet. Love, Derek 🖤🐾 ***Adoption Process*** -All current pets in the home need to be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and on veterinarian prescribed flea/tick/heart worm prevention. -Everyone living in the home, including all resident dogs, must be present at the meet and greet located in the Southwest Ohio area. -We DO NOT ship dogs!!!

Story
Location: Cincinnati, OH Food: Hydrolyzed Protein Medication: NexGard Plus Hi , my name is Ruby . Let me tell you a little about myself . First of all, yes… it’s true. I have one ear. Before you panic, relax. I can still hear you. Sometimes you might need to clap, stomp, or make a little extra effort to get my attention, but if you yell “RUBY,” I promise you… I heard that. Probably. Mostly. Enough. Now let’s talk about my personality, because wow. I am crate trained, potty trained, and professionally hilarious. I am also extremely good at keeping myself occupied, especially if you meet my one non-negotiable requirement: 👉 An absolutely unhinged supply of Benebones. I will chew one for an HOUR. Do not test me. Do not buy just one. This is not a suggestion. This is a contract. I love humans. I will climb directly into your lap and lay down like I’ve been paying rent there my entire life. I will also bounce off every piece of furniture in your home like I’m training for the Parkour Championship Finals. Couch, wall, ottoman… nothing is safe. Dogs? I like dogs. But let’s be honest… do you like every human you meet? Exactly. Don’t judge me. I’d probably be fine with another dog in the house, HOWEVER… I will act like a WWE wrestler. I prefer to be the dominant personality. I will posture. I will be loud. I will absolutely announce my presence. Now let’s talk about cats. Listen… we are both taking a risk here. I don’t have enough life experience with cats to confidently say how I’ll react, and honestly, I’m curious too. Could I be chill? Possibly. Could I be confused? Likely. Could I stare intensely and make questionable choices? Also possible. So if you have a cat, just know… we’d all be learning together. Important medical tea ☕ I have allergies, and those allergies are actually why I had to have surgeries on my ear. So food rules are not optional, they are a lifestyle. I cannot eat chicken, duck, or turkey. If it once walked around a farm and went “cluck” or “quack,” it is NOT my friend. Stick to my approved diet and I do great. Ignore it and my body will file a formal complaint. Humans can take food or bones right out of my mouth, no problem. If another dog gets near my stuff? I jump on their back and I will deliver a very passionate, very loud TED Talk about boundaries. My facial expressions alone are worth the adoption fee. I will bring you joy all day long just by existing. I am dramatic. I am expressive. I am basically an emoji in dog form. So if you’re looking for a dog who will: • Sit in your lap • Make you laugh constantly • Chew like it’s her job • Bounce off furniture • Wrestle dogs verbally and physicality • Be honest about cats • Respect a strict diet • Hear you most of the time • And stare into your soul with judgment and love Congratulations. You found me. Love, Ruby 🐶👑 (one ear, unlimited personality) ***Adoption Process*** -All current pets in the home need to be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and on veterinarian prescribed flea/tick/heart worm prevention. -Everyone living in the home, including all resident dogs, must be present at the meet and greet located in the Southwest Ohio area. -We DO NOT ship dogs!!!

Story
Location: Dayton, OH Food: American Journey Venison and Sweet Potato Medication: NexGard Plus Meet Wren 💛 Wren is a three-year-old French Bulldog whose story could have ended very differently—but instead, it became a story of survival, strength, and joy. She was rescued from a puppy mill, a place where dogs are too often treated as commodities instead of cherished companions. When Wren was finally lifted into loving arms and driven toward her second chance, it quickly became clear just how desperately she needed help. She was battling a severe case of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), a dangerous infection that required an intensive, targeted second round of antibiotics to save her life. Her road to healing was not easy. In order to remove infected tissue and give her a chance at recovery, Wren lost mammary glands and two teats. Her veterinarian worked carefully and compassionately, but there were moments of uncertainty—moments when it wasn’t even clear if her stitches would hold. Her little body had already endured so much. And yet… she fought. Despite the pain, despite the odds, despite the scars she would carry, Wren rebounded with a spirit that can only be described as radiant. Today, she is active, bright, and full of life. Will she have a scar? Yes. Do we care? Absolutely not. That scar is a badge of survival. It tells the story of a girl who refused to give up. What’s most incredible is that Wren meets the world with nothing but love. She genuinely believes everyone is her friend. New people? Best friend. New dogs? Also best friend. She lights up at events, wiggling with excitement, soaking in attention like she’s been waiting her whole life for it—because, in many ways, she has. Wren is doing wonderfully with her potty training and continues to learn quickly with consistency and encouragement. She is eager to please and thrives when given structure and praise. She would do best in a home with other dogs—she blossoms around canine companions—and with a family that enjoys an active lifestyle. Car ride? YES. Doggie daycare? Absolutely YES. Walks in the park? The biggest YES of all. She loves meeting new people, exploring new places, and being part of the action. After everything she’s endured, she doesn’t want to sit on the sidelines—she wants to live. Wren’s past does not define her. It shaped her strength, but it did not dim her light. She is proof that even after unimaginable hardship, a heart can remain wide open. Now she just needs a forever family who sees her not for what she went through, but for who she is: a joyful, resilient, affectionate girl who is ready to love with her whole heart. Wren survived. Now she’s ready to thrive. 🐾💛 ***Adoption Process*** -All current pets in the home need to be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and on veterinarian prescribed flea/tick/heart worm prevention. -Everyone living in the home, including all resident dogs, must be present at the meet and greet located in the Southwest Ohio area. -We DO NOT ship dogs!!!

Story
Location: Beavercreek, OH Food: Purina One Hydrolyzed Protein Medication: NexGard Plus monthly I am ready for my forever family!! I have beautiful blue eyes, as blue as the sky on a clear summer day. I am deaf and my other senses are heightened. So that’s pretty cool! I have some really pretty brown spots on my otherwise white coat. I feel it really makes me stand out in the crowd. I am the main character and I don’t need a supporting cast! I don’t really like being around other dogs and I REALLY dislike cats. Speaking of likes, I really like people. The older, the better! I don’t really enjoy hanging out with young kids and do best around humans who are 15 and up. My foster family thinks I am pretty funny. When I get excited I either hop or plop! I hop like a bunny and I plop for belly ribs. When I see you my entire body wiggles, not just my tale. I’m basically an overachiever. I love to be outside and I even like the snow! I am super curious and alert of my surroundings. I like to walk outside and my foster mom is working on my leash manners, but say I am learning! I sleep a lot, like a whole lot. I play in bursts and then lay down. I like to sit and lay right up against my humans but I’m not a lap dog. Like most bullies, I am VERY food motivated. I don’t want to brag, but I am really good at the sit command. As soon as I see my foster mom raise her hand in a sit command, I do it. Like. It’s. My. Job. Note from my foster mom- Aialik is a really sweet girl, but she requires a strong leader to make her feel safe. We will be looking bff for someone who has bully experience. ***Adoption Process*** -All current pets in the home need to be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and on veterinarian prescribed flea/tick/heart worm prevention. -Everyone living in the home, including all resident dogs, must be present at the meet and greet located in the Southwest Ohio area. -We DO NOT ship dogs!!!

Story
Location: Dayton, OH Food: American Journey Venison and Sweet Potato Medication: NexGard Plus Meet Wellington 💙 At six and a half years old, Wellington is a bigger, strong-built Frenchie boy with a tender heart beneath his sturdy frame and is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds with his people. He thrives when he knows what’s expected of him and when his world feels steady and secure. Because he’s a larger, powerful boy, he will need regular exercise and consistent walks to keep him trim, healthy, and balanced. Daily movement isn’t just good for his body—it helps his confidence, too. In his foster home, Wellington has done wonderfully in his pen and has shown that he genuinely enjoys toys. Toss him something fun and you’ll see his playful side light up. That said, he prefers not to share his prized toys with other dogs. He’s been working on his manners when it comes to treats and playtime, and he’s making progress. Wellington will need a family committed to continuing that guidance—clear expectations, structure, and positive reinforcement will help him feel safe and understood. Socially, Wellington does best with a calm, non-dominant female dog. While he has lived peacefully with other male dogs in his foster home without issue, he can be more nervous around unfamiliar male dogs. Thoughtful introductions and a steady environment will help him thrive. Wellington arrived in rescue alongside his longtime companion, Koby—a calm, petite five-and-a-half-year-old Frenchie girl. Together they’ve navigated change with quiet resilience, leaning on each other as they wait for the next chapter of their lives to begin. Wellington and Koby truly complement one another. She brings a gentle steadiness; he brings loyal devotion. They can absolutely be adopted separately, but for a family without current dogs who is open to welcoming both, they make a wonderful pair. If adopted together, it must be into a home with no other resident dogs, giving them the space to settle in comfortably as a duo. Wellington isn’t looking for perfection—he’s looking for patience. He’s looking for a family who sees that his strength comes with sensitivity, that his size comes with sweetness, and that continued guidance will help him become his very best self. With consistency, exercise, and love, Wellington will be a steadfast, loyal companion who gives his whole heart to the people he trusts. 💙🐾 ***Adoption Process*** -All current pets in the home need to be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and on veterinarian prescribed flea/tick/heart worm prevention. -Everyone living in the home, including all resident dogs, must be present at the meet and greet located in the Southwest Ohio area. -We DO NOT ship dogs!!!
