Stephie is nearly 6 years old. We adopted her 4 years ago to be a friend for our other beagle. She has a lot of energy and loves walks and play time. She needs a fully fenced yard or a dog run because escaping has been a bit of an issue. She has always been very sweet and good with all people and most other dogs.We are rehoming her because she recently got into a serious fight with the dog of a family member. The other dog was the original aggressor, but Stephie's bigger and could have seriously hurt the smaller dog. This has never happened before, and I don't really blame her, but it's causing family strife that I can't deal with right now.

Story

We adopted Pogo from MCARC in August because we were looking for a calm, family dog. He is a great dog but he is not getting on with our cats and vice versa. He gets very excited by them, and they get very stressed. In a month and a half, the interactions haven't improved. He is med-high energy, loves people and gets on with other dogs- he loves to run in the large dog area at the dog park. His favorite toys are things he can chew on- he is a very strong chewer! He does well in a crate and has not had any accidents that weren't our fault (only two). Our youngest is probably his favorite person but he has been great with both the kids. We want him to have a home where he can be with a family with no cats who can handle a dog that is energetic and athletic despite his age (7 years), where he can run around and live a life that is much better than what he has here being cooped up or leashed. He will come with all of his toys, accessories, medicine and food except the crate.

Rumi is exceptionally energetic. She can jump long distances. Rumi is well natured. She has been good with other dogs and children, but she sometimes doesn't have spatial awareness. She is sweet and loves cuddles when she calms down. I have never known her to be malicious towards anything, except for toys. Rumi has been house trained, but sometimes has happy pees when excited. Commands have been attempted and I think she understands the basics, but getting her to follow through has been difficult. She is sweet girl who would do better with a family that can give her more attention and maybe with older children.
