Story
Billy is nearly 2 yrs old, and generally a sweet 200lb boy, who gets along well with his companion female Dane and with our cat, but he has behavior problems that we can no longer handle. He continues to chew furniture and destroy cushions; if he gets excited on walks he will sometimes jump up and knock down us or a passerby trying to play; most significantly, a couple weeks ago he squeezed partially under our chain link fence and grabbed a dog running free that was visiting our neighbor. We had never seen aggressive behavior from him before. We have had many Danes over the last 30 years but have never had problems like these. We are now in our early 70s, and I have cancer, and we are just not strong or wise enough to deal with him. We hope to find him a home with someone who can invest the time and energy to calm his wilder instincts and enjoy the beautiful, sweet, goofy dog he can be.He loves to meet people and does so calmly if under control..

Story
We got Tater from someone about an hour away at 8 weeks old. Tater is 2.5 years old. I want him to have a home more equipped for dogs such as someone who is home more often, a large fenced in yard and can keep an eye on him. When he is bored he will chew things. He is very playful, knows at least 5 basic commands. He is very trainable. He needs groomed every six weeks.

Story
We have two rescue dogs that we have had since they were puppies. These dogs were always my babies and always got along before. We had our first son two years ago and ever since then one of our dogs (Lola) has been aggressive towards our other dog. We have been trying to work with her and give her chance after chance but she continues to be aggressive with him and it is completely unprovoked. She was my best friend for 6 years… but I don’t see how I can keep her in our house anymore. I truly believe she needs to be in a home with no other dogs or children because I just don’t trust her around dogs anymore. She is the sweetest dog in the world and all she wants is snuggles and to lick you. She will sleep under the covers in the bed. She is super athletic and loves to hike, run, and play ball. She is completely house trained and listens to basic commands. She never needs kenneled. She would be the perfect dog for someone single or a couple who wants a dog to go on adventures with.

Story
Unfortunately, it absolutely breaks my heart, but we need to try to find Ladybird a better home. She needs someone who can work with her, as she’s very nervous around other people. She needs a home with no other pets, and no children. She does okay with our kids who know her and respect her space, but has zero tolerance for other children. She does fine with out cat, but tries to go after the strays in the area. Strangers make her nervous, but especially children/men. She is a very good and sweet girl, but lack of socialization as a puppy has become her biggest obstacle. She and Dixie (our other female) tolerate each other but do not care for each other, sometimes leading to fights. I thought we were done with them, but today they got into it over a candy wrapper. I cannot take her to a shelter. She will be deemed unadoptable and likely put down. And she doesn’t deserve that. She just needs a special person who can give her the proper patience and time to build her confidence.

Story
Hey, I’m Cosmic 🚀 Yeah… I ended up on the euthanasia list because I didn’t handle shelter life very well. It was loud, stressful, and honestly just not my vibe. But now that I’m out? I’m here to report… I’m basically perfect. 😎 I LOVE other dogs and am so happy to have friends again. Give me some space to decompress and I’ll show you just how awesome I really am. Turns out, I didn’t need to be judged in a kennel… I just needed a chance. So what do you say — ready to meet your new best friend? 💛
