Story
Hello, my name is Duke. I moved to Ohio from New York to live with my foster family. My family was very sorry to let me go because I am a good boy. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen life circumstances they could not keep me. My foster family takes good care of me. I live with 6 other dogs and 6 kids that I love to play with! I am good with all sizes of dogs, but my foster parents say I need to learn my boundaries better. I don’t take the hint very well when my furry friends say they have had enough. I am a big cuddle bug and love sleeping with people if I am allowed. Mom and Dad say I don’t understand how big and strong I am, so I am sorry if I accidentally knock my kids down or hurt someone jumping into their lap. I love to chew so chew toys are a must. My old Mom said my old Dad was very mean to me, so sometimes I cower when I it seems like I am in trouble and could be hit. I am very afraid of corrective collars, please don’t put one on me. If I bark, it is because I need attention, or I see or hear something outside. I don’t bark unnecessarily. My foster parents say I need more training. I know sit and come but I don’t always listen. I am very food motivated so that is a benefit for training. I currently eat my lunch and dinner in my crate because I have foster siblings that don't like to share food and my foster parents don't want anyone to get in a fight. My Mom gets up at 6 in the morning for work, so I am used to going out in the morning at 6:30 and then being in my crate until 5. I do well in my crate, but my favorite time is when they come home, and I can be out to run the yard and play with my family and friends. I eat 1.5 cups of food 2x a day and I always have water in my crate when my parents are gone. I am a really good boy with lots of energy and love to share. Please consider giving me my furever home!

Story
This handsome hunk is a rare find. If you are into giant pups but do not want the exercise that comes with being a parent to a big dog, then come meet Chunk today! This baby is as laid back and calm as they come. Don’t get me wrong, Chunk certainly gets excited here and there, especially when he sees you. He does the Chunk wiggle, sometimes getting low to the ground like he is about to pounce, but no, he just wants you to get excited about him too! If you oblige, his wiggles even harder 😊He immediately leans in for hugs and pets. This boy is a leaner! All 120lb as close as he can get to you 😊 For a big guy, Chunk walks well on a leash until he sees a pup in his path. He whines and barks, not because he doesn’t like them, he wants to go over to say hello and is frustrated by the restraint of the leash. Off leash, separated by a fence, he is wonderful! No barks or whines, just enjoying the pups’ company. Some rambunctious pups may bark at him, but he does not care nor respond 😊He carries on doing his thing. Chunk is good company to relax and enjoy a glass of wine with. He just lays quietly next to you, busy with his toys. He loves toys, this boy 😊Oh, and he gallops over to you when you call him with your arms outstretched. Chunk is a 3-year-old, 120lb Cane Corso. He appears older than his age, his teeth all ground down. We think he was neglected in his earlier years, left to fend for himself. He was found abandoned in a park, playing with kids until the authorities came to whisk him away. Chunk is looking for a family who will embrace him as a valued family member, a companion to one or all. He loves his people. Chunk is crate trained, and a low maintenance gentleman. Chunk is special needs. He has vision and hearing impairment. He can hear only when he is directly looking at you. He can see but his peripheral vision is not the best.

Lia and Nico are the two best companions anyone could wish for. It would be wonderful if they were adopted together. They are brother and sister 8 years old purchased from a breeder in Eastern PA at 12 weeks. They are sweet, loyal, loving, obedient, incredibly smart and wonderful companions. Nico prefers to be outside but is equally happy indoors. Lia prefers to be where you are, whether indoors or out. Again super smart and respond to Come, Stay, Sit, Paw, Down, Sit on Beds, Find the ball.

Story
I’m a beautiful white pit bull with the biggest smile and heart you’ve ever seen. I don’t know why, but someone decided they didn’t want me anymore and left me — all the way from Akron to the west side of Cleveland. I’m not sure what I did wrong, because I promise I’m a good girl. When my foster mom found me, I hopped right into her car (because I love going for rides!). She soon learned I’d already been spayed and microchipped, which is how she discovered I came from Akron. I’m about three years old, full of love, and always happy. I adore people and make a wonderful protector. I bark when someone comes to the door or near the house — just to let my family know I’ve got their back! I’m great with kids (as long as they’re gentle — no ear pulling, please!). I get along well with some male dogs, but I haven’t met many female dogs yet, so I’m not sure how that would go. My foster mom took great care of me — I’m dewormed, on flea and tick prevention, and feeling healthy and strong. I do get very excited when people come over, and sometimes I jump a bit too much… we’re working on that! Oh, and one more thing — I love pitty-safe toys. I go through toys fast (these jaws mean business!), but I promise it’s all part of my fun-loving charm. I can’t wait to meet my forever family — I know you’ll be the best one for me. 💖 Love, Mavis ✅ About 3 years old ✅ Spayed & healthy ✅ LOVES car rides, kids (who are gentle!), and snuggles ✅ Great with some male dogs ✅ Pro toy destroyer 😅 ✅ Professional doorbell (she’ll let you know when someone’s there!) Mavis is full of joy, loyalty, and big pittie smiles. 🥹 All she wants is a forever home where she’ll be loved as much as she loves in return. 🚗 Ready to ride straight into your heart? 📍Currently being fostered in Cleveland, OH

Story
I have not met a more social pup than Sahara! This girl is all about having a good time with her humans and doggies :D She greets you with a jump or a hug. If you lower your face to hers, she thinks nothing of lathering your face with kisses. She also loves to randomly hug you. She is adoringly affectionate! Sahara is the same with dogs. She loves all dogs. She gets into crazy plays with them. She has been known to shape shift through openings in fences or gates to play with the neighborhood dogs 🤦 She has a love for exploration. She must be a Sagittarius 😊 She has a mostly reliable recall so that’s a huge relief! On walks, she pulls initially because she is so excited to be out and about but she does calm down minutes into the walk. She loves her walks. This girl is a natural explorer. She is a curious girl. Sahara is indifferent to toys. She prefers to be engaging with her humans and doggie friends. She gets excited when you get excited even though she has no idea what the excitement is about. She hops around like a crazy girl because you are happy about something 🤦 Sahara takes treats nicely. She sits and waits for them. Sahara does well in a crate. She keeps a clean crate. Sahara is about 5 years old, 60lb GSD mix. She is looking for a semi-active family with a playful resident dog(s) that she can be besties with. Older children who like to engage with her will make her very happy. Sahara is an ideal family pup.

Story
Live alone? Need a ‘protector’ of sorts? Moose is the best man for the job! He would like to submit his application now. He’ll gladly take just room and board (he’s a food whore, will eat anything in your fridge) and lots of love for the job! Moose has a fierce loyalty to the people he loves. He is extremely affectionate and loving. He does not skim on kisses 😊He loves laying next to his people, just chilling and being in the moment with them. Outside, he loves to play fetch. He’ll play fetch until the cows come home. This boy brings the ball back and patiently waits for it to be thrown again. He also chases birds and small animals so no cats for Moosey Goosey! Moose loves the outdoors. He’ll literally hang out outside all day if you let him. Moose is 2.5 years old. He is looking for an adult only home due to his initial distrust of people he does not know. Moose is terrified of the world. He is hoping his new family will be patient and show him how to trust. He yearns to be understood, gain confidence and freely love and trust. He is fiercely loyal and protective of the ones he loves but getting there is a journey. The end results is so rewarding, though. You will be so loved, and you will never feel scared or alone again. A fenced yard is a mist.
