Story
Hello, my name is Duke. I moved to Ohio from New York to live with my foster family. My family was very sorry to let me go because I am a good boy. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen life circumstances they could not keep me. My foster family takes good care of me. I live with 6 other dogs and 6 kids that I love to play with! I am good with all sizes of dogs, but my foster parents say I need to learn my boundaries better. I don’t take the hint very well when my furry friends say they have had enough. I am a big cuddle bug and love sleeping with people if I am allowed. Mom and Dad say I don’t understand how big and strong I am, so I am sorry if I accidentally knock my kids down or hurt someone jumping into their lap. I love to chew so chew toys are a must. My old Mom said my old Dad was very mean to me, so sometimes I cower when I it seems like I am in trouble and could be hit. I am very afraid of corrective collars, please don’t put one on me. If I bark, it is because I need attention, or I see or hear something outside. I don’t bark unnecessarily. My foster parents say I need more training. I know sit and come but I don’t always listen. I am very food motivated so that is a benefit for training. I currently eat my lunch and dinner in my crate because I have foster siblings that don't like to share food and my foster parents don't want anyone to get in a fight. My Mom gets up at 6 in the morning for work, so I am used to going out in the morning at 6:30 and then being in my crate until 5. I do well in my crate, but my favorite time is when they come home, and I can be out to run the yard and play with my family and friends. I eat 1.5 cups of food 2x a day and I always have water in my crate when my parents are gone. I am a really good boy with lots of energy and love to share. Please consider giving me my furever home!

Story
Ravenna was adopted as a tiny 8 to 9-week-old puppy… just a baby with her whole life ahead of her. Years later, she was found again—alone, roaming as a stray, her skin in rough shape, clearly having been through more than any dog should. And yet… somehow, Ravenna is still Ravenna. Still silly. Still full of personality. Still ready to love like nothing ever broke her. This girl is a one-of-a-kind mix—Bull Terrier, Husky, maybe a little Bulldog—and you’ll see it immediately. The dramatic “talking back” screams when she wants attention, the hilarious tippy-tappy toes when she’s excited, and yes… the moments where she gets “mad” at you and turns her whole butt in your direction like a stubborn toddler 😊And her eyes… one blue, one brown. They don’t just look at you, they pull you in. Ravenna is independent and loves to explore, but no matter what, she comes when you call. Every. Single. Time. She’ll run right up, lean into you, and wait for her favorite thing in the world—butt scratches. That’s all she needs to be happy. She greets new people with big jumps (her version of a hug), and on walks… you’ll want a good grip on that leash. She’s strong, and if she spots something to chase, she’s ready! A Freedom Harness works wonders. Now fair warning—if you see other dogs, Ravenna will put on a show. The Bull Terrier in her comes out loud and proud—excited screams, dancing feet… it can look like chaos to strangers. But those who know the breed? They see exactly what it is: pure, goofy joy. Because that’s Ravenna. Loud. Dramatic. Hilarious. Loving. She can be selective with dog friends, and she’ll need someone who understands her quirks—but for the right person, she is everything. After everything she’s been through… she’s still choosing to trust, to love, to be silly. She deserves someone who chooses her back. Forever this time. Come meet Ravenna. She’s been waiting for you. Ravenna is 7 years old, 60lb Bull Terrier mix. She is looking for a family who understands Bull Terriers, who will laugh at her silly displays and be amused by her. Kids are welcome but beware; she can knock them over with her exuberance.

Story
If you are looking for a friendly, fun, athletic sidekick to check off your bucket list with, you need Wizard! This kid is as friendly as can be, with everyone and every dog. He is easy going and will go along with whatever you got going on. He is so good natured and great in a car, you can take him anywhere. He gets very excited to be somewhere and usually pulls in the beginning, but he will settle in nicely. Wizard is an affectionate boy. He loves pets. As you pet him, he leans harder against you. He thinks the closer he gets to you, the more intense the pets will be. Butt scratches will send him to Cloud 9. Wiz is communicative. He barks when he wants something. You have to figure out what it is he wants. In open spaces, Wizard runs like there is no tomorrow. He likes to show off his athleticism. He is a good ball fetcher (but doesn’t always bring it back :/). He runs ahead when he sees that you are getting ready to throw the ball. Balls and tug games are his favorite. Wizard usually comes when called. While Wizard is good with dogs, he is still learning dog-dog play etiquette. He teases a dog to play but when they engage, he runs in the opposite direction. He doesn’t know what to do/how to play 😊Did we mention how smart Wiz is? He knows sit, paw, other paw and spin. Wizard is 2 years old, 50lb German Wirehaired Pointer mix. He is looking for an active family to do stuff with. A family with older children is preferred. When Wiz is running, stay clear of his path. He can easily knock over small children in his quest for a doggie Olympic gold. A fenced yard is preferred. Wiz is crate trained. He keeps a clean kennel. He may have a prey drive. He chases birds.

Story
Siblings Daisy and Maverick are looking for a foster home (or a family) that can devote time to showing them how to navigate life. They perceive the world as a scary place with lots of obstacles and learning curves. They are afraid to step outside of the comfort and ‘protection’ of their house. They are bonded and find solace in each other’s company. It takes both a hot minute to get comfortable with new faces. After that, they are the sweetest and most affectionate and loyal companions. While they are unsure about new people, they are both amazing with dogs.

Story
Live alone? Need a ‘protector’ of sorts? Moose is the best man for the job! He would like to submit his application now. He’ll gladly take just room and board (he’s a food whore, will eat anything in your fridge) and lots of love for the job! Moose has a fierce loyalty to the people he loves. He is extremely affectionate and loving. He does not skim on kisses He loves laying next to his people, just chilling and being in the moment with them. Outside, he loves to play fetch. He’ll play fetch until the cows come home. This boy brings the ball back and patiently waits for it to be thrown again. He also chases birds and small animals so no cats for Moosey Goosey! Moose loves the outdoors. He’ll literally hang out outside all day if you let him. Moose is 4.5 years old, 75lb Mix breed. He is looking for an adult only home due to his initial distrust of people he does not know. Moose is terrified of the world. He is hoping his new family will be patient and show him how to trust. He yearns to be understood, gain confidence and freely love and trust. He is fiercely loyal and protective of the ones he loves but getting there is a journey. The end results is so rewarding, though. You will be so loved, and you will never feel scared or alone again. A fenced yard is a must.
