Story
Introducing Mika! Nestled in foster care, Mika is eagerly awaiting her forever home. To schedule a meet-and-greet, please contact Rachael at 440-773-0270. Mika's adoption will include 4 free training sessions to make sure she adjusts perfectly into your home! Mika is a spirited and playful girl who thrives in the company of other dogs. She's a social butterfly and would thrive in a home with a furry sibling. Her friendly nature extends beyond dogs-she's also curious about small animals and has shown interest in befriending her foster mom's bird! With impeccable manners, Mika is both house and crate trained. While she may occasionally exhibit some stubbornness in following commands, her eagerness to please shines through. She's a quick learner and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training. When it comes to playtime, Mika is in her element. She adores toys, especially tennis balls, and is always up for a game of fetch. But don't let her energetic demeanor fool you-Mika also has a softer side and loves nothing more than snuggling up with her humans while they unwind with a movie or sports game. While Mika thrives in the company of adults and other animals, she prefers a home without children. But fear not-she's more than capable of filling your home with love and companionship! If you're searching for a loyal and affectionate canine companion, look no further than Mika. Contact Rachael today to arrange a meeting and discover if Mika is the perfect match for your family!

Story
Henna is available by consultant only. To meet her, please contact Rachael at 440-773-0270. Henna is a sweet and sassy 3-year-old mixed breed with a heart as big as her smile! This big furball is the whole package - she's cute, cuddly, and has a personality that's larger than life. Henna is also extremely strong. She has put on weight and muscle since arriving at ARF, and her leash time will prove it! Henna needs a family who has strong walkers. Henna has spent time with some of our fosters and we're excited to tell her furever home that she is not only potty-trained, but she waits by the door to let you know she needs to go outside. She loves car rides and is a great passenger. Henna's repertoire of tricks is nothing short of impressive: she's got "Sit," "Paw," and "Watch" down to an art, and rumor has it, she might even bust out a spontaneous dance or hug that'll leave you laughing in stitches! But Henna isn't just about the tricks; she's all about spreading love and cheer wherever she goes. Her charisma is undeniable, and she'll stand right by your side, eager for affection and petting. She's like a walking, talking (well, sort of) bundle of sunshine! And there's a little twist in her story too - she's a socialite. Henna can have a big bark to maintain her own space, but she's really just a big sweetie. Henna may do okay living with a calm dog, but would prefer to live without cats. A meet and greet is required with any dogs in your family before adoption. Are you ready to welcome Henna into your life? If you think you can keep up with her cuteness and antics, then reach out to us. Get ready for a paw-sitive change in your life, and prepare to fall head over paws for this enchanting and loving fur friend! A meet and greet with other dogs is a must because she's always on the lookout for her next canine companion. Due to Henna's strength, we also believe she'd thrive in a home with older kids.

Story
Tuesday is in a foster home. To meet her, text Rachael at 440-773-0270. Hi! I'm Tuesday, and I'm hoping someone will adopt me! If it would help you decide, along with the meet-and-greet, here's what I know about myself: I'm housebroken! I'm crate-trained! I especially don't mind going into my crate if I have a couple of treat-filled toys to occupy myself when I'm told to "go to your crate. Sometimes I get too excited with treat-filled toys so I like it if they're only used when I'm in my crate. I'm a fast learner! I know a few commands: sit, down, shake paw, stop, stay, no-jump and off (sometimes I get too excited to see someone come home!). I'm used to being told to sit before eating from my food dish, and I know how to ring bells or nudge you if I need to go potty. I love toys! Sometimes I enjoy bringing them to you, sometimes I like fetching them, but sometimes I like taking a toy and being by myself for a while. I enjoy watching birds and squirrels! I like chasing the squirrels in a fenced-in yard! I'm athletic, and I love to accompany someone who's walking, jogging, or running. If you're not into that, my favorite activity happens to be running as fast as I can around a fenced-in yard! I love going for car rides! I love snuggling once I get to know someone, and I know what "kisses means and I'm happy to offer those too once I get to know someone! I'm a little skittish around loud traffic, and with the sound of trains and airplanes, but I'm getting more accustomed to these since I've been pretty active outdoors with my foster mom. I'm also a little skittish with having my teeth looked at, my paws touched, getting sponge baths, and having my collar taken off and put on, but I'm also getting more accustomed to these things too. I've also been working with my foster mom on meeting other dogs and other people when we're out on the trails. Although Tuesday can be around other dogs, we think she'd do best in a home without other dogs or cats. She would also do best with children over 10 years old that will respect her boundaries. Contact Rachael to meet her!

Meet Alec, a sprightly 5-year-old pup whose ears may have lost their tips, but his attentive listening remains impeccable. Alec boasts a stellar personality, a great sense of humor, and undeniable good looks. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, Alec's prey drive makes him better suited for a home without cats, small dogs, or young children. If you're seeking a companion to share pleasant weather and channel surfing, Alec is the ideal match for your laid-back lifestyle. A meet and greet with other dogs in your family is required before adoption, so please bring them along with you.

Story
Whitney is currently in a foster home, eagerly awaiting her forever family. To meet this lovable pup, contact her consultant Rachael at 440-773-0270. Whitney isn't just looking for someone to dance with; she's also searching for the perfect snuggle buddy! She's the ideal combination of playful and laid-back, making her a wonderful companion for anyone seeking both excitement and relaxation. This sweet girl adores children and loves all humans, but she's "Saving all her Love for You" and prefers to be the only pet in the home. Whitney excels as a car rider, is house trained, and crate trained. She's mastered basic commands like sit and down, making her a joy to train and interact with. Here's what Whitney's foster has to say about her: "Whitney is a loving, affectionate companion. She greets everyone she meets with a wagging tail and a request for lots of pets! She enjoys going for walks and car rides, and she's especially fond of food and treats. While she enjoys playing with toys, Whitney's favorite pastime is snuggling up with you for some love and affection. She's not a fan of loud noises or screaming and prefers to hide. Whitney has a charming low rumble instead of barking. She's housebroken and comfortable in a crate. If you're ready to welcome a devoted and affectionate companion into your life, Whitney is waiting to meet you! Contact Rachael today to arrange a meeting with this loving pup.

Story
Are you looking for a furry friend to burrow right into your heart? Look no further than Gopher, an 9-month-old pocket pittie with a heart as big as his love for snuggles. This affectionate boy adores all creatures, whether they're covered in fur or not. Gopher likes to play with submissively friendly dogs, sometimes mistaking them for cozy beds to rest on. However, we think he would do best playing with other dogs off his turf, and live just with his humans. His love for food knows no bounds, making him highly motivated to learn new tricks and commands. When it's bedtime, Gopher settles peacefully in his cage after a brief attempt to negotiate a spot in your bed. He's mastering the art of bathroom breaks outside, but a watchful eye and consistent schedule are key. This playful pup would make an excellent playmate for kids, but he's just as content snuggled up next to an adult for a Netflix marathon. If you're ready for endless cuddles and companionship, Gopher is your guy! Adopt him today and let the snuggle sessions begin.
