Story
Thank you for your interest! Sycamore Creek's Wintering Cheyenne is our 3 1/2 year old, AKC Registered, Siberian Husky. We bought Cheyenne when she was just 8 weeks, and she has been a part of our family ever since. Cheyenne has had 3 litters of puppies, and has been a wonderful mother to her litters. Cheyenne is very healthy, and is very sweet around all humans. We have 2 small children and have 100% peace of mind when having Cheyenne around them. Cheyenne has never showed any aggression to a human, and again, is extremely submissive and loving. The decision to re home Cheyenne is based on her inability to get along with the other female husky we have, and we do want either to them to become injured. This is a tough decision my wife and I are making, and therefore, want to make sure Cheyenne goes to the best of homes.

Story
Sweet Ginger is being returned to us after being in a home about 5 months.  They loved her and are heartbroken but Ginger has high prey drive for free roaming chickens.  That being said she must have a secure fenced in yard, a privacy fence is preferred or at least one that is 5 ft high.  She seems to be fine with other dogs after a proper introduction including small ones.  Ginger could also flourish as an only dog as she loves her people.  She has not been around cats so we are unsure but based on her prey drive a home without cats would be best.   Children should be older and respectful.  Ginger is about 8 years old and 50 lbs, a nice manageable size. She is fully vetted and had a dental last fall.   Ginger is housetrained and loves to ride in the car.  She can be left with the run of the house while you are gone without issue.  Ginger has the most adorable smile, we think it is adorable.   If interested in Ginger, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com.  Her adoption fee is $150.February 22, 2024, 1:18 pm

Story
UPDATE:  Sully has been in foster since recovering from heartworm treatment. He is now ready to find a loving home. What we have found is that Sully will need at least a 5 ft fence and regular exercise. A female only home is preferred as well as someone who is dog savvy. We believe there was mistreatment by a male and he is not sure that he trusts. He would love another dog to play with. A house where there is not a lot of outside stimulus is preferred. A house set a bit off the road.   Meet Sully. He was rescued from City Dogs after he was found to be heartworm positive. He Sully has now finished his heartworm treatment and will be ready for adoption the end of October.  He’s a sweetheart. Sully is about 2 1/2 years old and 27 lbs.  His breed appears to be a dachshund/terrier mix. He is great with other dogs, cats are unknown at this time and older, respectful children should be fine. We would prefer that Sully has a canine companion in his new home, he loves to play and also we prefer a fenced yard. Sully is house trained and crate trained. He rides well in the car. He may do best in an all female home. If interested in Sully, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com. His adoption fee is $200. February 22, 2024, 1:18 pm

Story
Meet Luna. She was given up by an Amish Breeder. Luna is a Mini Aussie, 5 years old and 26 lbs. She is fully vetted and ready for a home, a loving real home.  Luna does have a condition called dry eye and will need lifelong daily medicine in her eyes. We though she may have some vision loss due to it being untreated but after a visit with an Ophthalmologist recently we were happy to learn that she does indeed have vision in both eyes but maybe not at 100% at this time.  She will be starting a new medicine with a follow up in December. She is so very sweet and dog friendly. Luna is also fine with cats and people. Maye a bit unsure at first meeting but absolutely no aggression.   She is most likely totally fine with respectful children . Luna is now living in a foster home and doing excellent.  She is house trained, crate trained and is learning how wonderful it is to be a part of a family. She rides great in the car and walks great on a leash. She actually walks right beside me when I drop the leash. I can’t say enough good about her, she is the real deal. We are insisting on a fenced yard and want her to have a canine companion. Her adoption fee is $225. If interested in Luna, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com.February 22, 2024, 1:18 pm
