Story
This adorable 3-year-old Frenchie is a sweet little “Loaf” who is coming more and more out of his shell every day. He’s mostly a laid-back guy who is perfectly happy lounging around, but every once in a while, the Frenchie zoomies kick in and his playful side comes out! He may not be much of a lap dog, but he absolutely loves being close to his people. He’ll happily lie beside you for hours—usually belly-up, soaking in all the belly rubs he can get. He loves sleeping in bed with his humans, adores Himalayan cheese bones, loves his own cozy bed, and is comfortable in his crate. He has also been a very good boy in the house and hasn’t been destructive. He loves people, is wonderful on a leash, and rides great in the car. He has shown no real reaction to other dogs and is curious about cats. He may follow them around if given the opportunity, and he definitely considers cat food—and even the litter box—fair game, so those will need to be kept out of reach! Potty training is still a work in progress. We’ve learned that this shy guy needs a little privacy to do his business outside. He prefers to be outside for about 10–15 minutes without anyone watching him. Apparently, some things are private!  With patience and consistency, he should continue to improve. He does have a sensitive side. Raised voices frighten him, and he’ll retreat to his crate when he thinks he’s done something wrong. He is also absolutely convinced that vacuums and carpet cleaners are the enemy and must be defeated! Because of how strongly he reacts when startled or frightened, we suspect he may not have always been treated kindly in his past. More than anything, this little guy wants to feel safe, please his people, and be loved. He is funny, gentle, affectionate in his own way, and truly an amazing little dog. He deserves a family who will give him patience, security, plenty of belly rubs, and the chance to discover just how wonderful it is to be loved like crazy. Adoption is $400 which includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. To fill out an application for this animal or a general application click HERE.  Adoption Fee: $ The adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and current monthly flea and parasite prevention. Story
Meet Velveeta — a nearly 1.5-year-old Shepherd mix with the perfect mix of brains, energy, and affection packed into her 40-pound frame. This happy girl is always ready for the next adventure, whether that’s hiking trails, going for runs, playing fetch in the backyard, or just being your constant sidekick through everyday life. Velveeta is the definition of a fun-loving best friend. She’s playful, social, goofy, and absolutely adores other dogs. She would thrive in a home with another active, playful dog who enjoys wrestling, zooming, and keeping up with her energy. She’s also the kind of dog who would love an active person or family looking for a loyal companion to include in everything. When the fun is over, Velveeta is incredibly loving and wants nothing more than to be near her people. She forms strong bonds, follows you around like your little shadow, and is happiest when she’s included. She’s crate trained, housebroken when kept on a schedule, and eager to please. Like many young Shepherd mixes, Velveeta is smart, active, and happiest when she has both physical exercise and attention from her humans. She’s still young, still playful, and still full of personality — the perfect age for someone looking for a dog they can truly build a life and adventures with. Velveeta did test positive for ehrlichia exposure, which simply means she was exposed to a tick-borne illness at some point. She currently has no symptoms and feels fantastic. If treatment is ever needed in the future, it’s simple and inexpensive. If you’re looking for a loyal adventure buddy, a playful dog for your current pup, or a happy-go-lucky best friend who’s always ready for whatever comes next — Velveeta may be exactly who you’ve been missing. Adoption is $300 which includes her spay, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. Story
Please contact Kyrsten (kliming06@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  Mango is a 6-7 month-old Collie mix who weighs about 25 pounds. With her long legs and tall, lanky frame, she's expected to grow to around 40 pounds when she's full grown. This sweet and spunky girl is full of personality! Mango loves attention, enjoys playing with her sister, Pineapple, and is just beginning to discover how much fun being a puppy can be. Whether she's bouncing around the yard or looking for affection from her people, Mango is always ready to make you smile. She is loving chew toys and squeaky toys to throw around in the air. She loves frolicking around in the backyard with her sister, since being in a house vs a shelter they are having so much from coming our of their shells and being puppies!   Mango and Pineapple are new to their foster home, they both have just started bell potty training. As with any young puppies, they need continued house training, basic obedience, and plenty of positive reinforcement to help them grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. Story
Hi there! My name is Joseph Pup, affectionately called "Joey", and I am looking for a loving family to adopt me and take me home! Born on 12-15-25, I've been told I am sweet as honey, and will be a great addition to a loving home. Weighing in at 50lbs, I may be a bit shy and somewhat of a follower, but I will definitely be the first to jump in the car when possible to go to the Paws and Prayers amazing adoption events, where I absolutely love getting loved on and attention from new friends. If I sound like I might be your next true love, don't delay! Please fill out the application to adopt today.  His daddy is an Australian Shepherd, weighing about 70lbs, and all we know about mama dog is that she has to be a super sweet dog because her babies are A-Maz-ING!!  He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormer, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, microchipped and ready to go to his  new home.  Adoption fee is $350 and any questions can be directed to marty@pawsandprayers.org.  August 25, 2026, 12:38 pm
