Story
Meet Matcha aka matcha latte  Age: estimated around 2 years old. Weight: 46 lbs.Breed: boxer/terrier mix.  This sweet girl was found abandoned in a car with another dog and was dangerously underweight. Now Matcha is a healthy, medium sized dog and she’s learning what a good life looks like.  Even with her rough start to life she’s still a very happy, loving, carefree pup. Matcha loves playing with other dogs and snuggling on the couch (especially under the blanket). She’s obsessed with all toys but they don’t last long so be prepared to clean up fluff but she’ll leave your pillows alone.  Matcha is a super low maintenance dog as she’s quiet in her crate, rarely wants to go potty (but won’t have accidents in the house) will play with other dogs or toys by herself, loves just hanging out with her humans and is tired after a 1 mile walk.  That being said we’ve learned that Matcha does sometimes have some fear based reactivity when meeting new people, typically men, but once you earn her trust she’s a total love bug so say goodbye to personal space.  Matcha doesn’t love the vet or getting her nails trimmed although I can’t say I blame her. Previous appointments have required muzzling, calming meds and mild sedation but it’s possible she could overcome her fears with time or training. Matcha is crate trained and potty trained but she does think baby gates are her own personal hurdles to jump.  Matcha would probably do best in a home with older children and she would do great as the only pet or with another dog but one isn’t required. If you feel capable of giving Matcha the time, patience and support needed along with a fraction of the love she’ll give you, please fill out an application to meet this sweet girl so she can finally have a loving family of her own. Matcha is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and current on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. Matcha's adoption fee is $200. Ready to Make Matcha part of your family? Story
Meet Jasper! Jasper is a one-year-old terrier mix who weighs about 30 pounds (and will fill out a bit more as he grows). He's dog- and kid-friendly, and reportedly good with cats, too! This guy has a sweet personality to match his high energy. Jasper loves toys and loves company, whether that's his humans or a doggie friend. Jasper is crate trained and working on housebreaking. He's already mastered "sit" and is eager to please, though he's still polishing his manners (jumping on people and investigating the counters are current works in progress). Basic obedience training would be a great next step for him. Jasper would also thrive with a patient doggie friend who can set boundaries and help him learn to better read dog language. He doesn't always realize that not every dog is up for playtime. Jasper is neutered, microchipped, and-up-to-date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $300. Interested in meeting Jasper? Story
Meet Star Star is a beautiful 3–4-year-old sweetheart weighing about 45 pounds, and just like her name, she shines in her own special way. She may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once she knows you, she becomes the sweetest, most loyal cuddle buddy you could ever ask for. Star bonds deeply with her people and loves nothing more than being close to those she trusts. In her foster home, Star has proven to be a wonderful house guest. She is fully potty trained and has not needed to be crated. She settles in nicely and enjoys being part of the family routine. Star absolutely loves car rides and will happily hop in for an adventure. Walks are one of her favorite activities, and she also enjoys playing with her foster dog siblings. She thrives around other dogs and would likely love a canine companion in her forever home. Star previously lived in a home with cats before coming into foster care, so she may be able to coexist with feline friends as well. Because Star can be a little shy at first, she’ll need a patient adopter who will give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. But once she blossoms, you’ll see just how incredibly loving and devoted she truly is. Her gentle nature, loyal heart, and love of cuddles make her an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a faithful best friend who will reward your patience with endless love, Star might just be the perfect match for you. Star is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and current on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $200. Ready to Meet Star? Start by completing an adoption application at www.rescue330.org. Story
Meet Bootsie: The 9-Year-Old Queen Who Knows Exactly What She Wants Bootsie is a sweet, loyal, and spirited 9-year-old who is looking for a quiet home where she can settle in and be someone's devoted companion. She is house trained, walks well on a leash, and loves nothing more than being close to her people, whether that means curling up beside you on the couch or simply keeping an eye on you from across the room. She is a low-key dog with a big personality, and once she decides you're her person, she is yours. A few things her adopter should know: Bootsie has some sensitivity along her back and hindquarters, which makes being picked up uncomfortable for her. She does best when greeted at her level and given the opportunity to approach on her own terms. She is not a dog who will tolerate being handled in ways that cause her discomfort, so we are looking for an adopter who will respect her boundaries and work with her rather than around them. The good news: she is highly food motivated, which makes building trust and a routine with her very manageable. She has a small lump on her shoulder that has been examined and confirmed benign by a veterinarian. No treatment needed. Bootsie gets along well with calm, respectful dogs. She is not a good match for highly energetic or confrontational dogs. She is best suited for an adult-only home with a fenced yard. Apply at www.rescue330.org — if you think you’re worthy. Bootsie's adoption fee is $150. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and current on heartworm & flea prevention.
