Story
Very dashing and handsome. Good match to an outdoor enthusiast or someone who likes to run and hike. Has a fantastic sense of humor. He makes me laugh all the time. He loves tummy rubs and playing fetch with a ball. Very playful. He loves to go places, and wants to be your best friend. He is highly responsive and wants to learn. Licorice is energetic and loves to run but he’s not hyper. He’s happy to lay around once he gets exercised. Trained as a sled dog in Alaska, he knows voice commands gee and haw for left and right, stop, gentle, and Give commands. He needs leash training and indoor training. He learns quickly and he is eager to please his owner. He has been an outside dog but would be happy to be inside with his humans. He has a strong prey instinct, so I would not recommend small pets, chickens or rabbits in the same household. He needs to be fenced or tied if outside. Full name: Licorice Licky Lickerson, Mr. Lickerson

Story
Looking for a warm hearted loving leader who can spend time with this sweet handsome boy. Wants to be best friends and spend time with his humans. Loves to be silly and play. He loves to run and needs daily exercise. He would love to get in the car and go anywhere. He’s a fast runner and needs an athletic person or someone with a four wheeler to get him tired out. He has some great training but missing some key bits. Knows voice commands very well but not leash trained. Has been an outside dog so needs some indoor manners. He is part malamute and part German shepherd. He trains well, doing best with positive praise and consistency. Need an experienced dog owner. He does not get along with other dogs and has high prey instincts. He needs to be the only pet in the household. We did have a cat but it was a unique situation. Lickerson was very good with my young one, very careful with her, but I do not recommend a family with small kids because he needs someone who has more time for him.

Story
We rescued Rocky July '24 and have been trying to make it work ever since, but we're just not a good fit for each other! Rocky would do best living with another, less anxious dog - one that can help give him a great daily workout of playtime, which he adores. Rocky is smart, super athletic, and very loving with his core family (and his toys). He doesn't guard food or toys. He doesn't trust anyone outside of that circle, though, and is protective in situations when he meets strangers while on leash or while at home. He will not let someone just walk into the house. They must be slowly introduced to him. He will guard his home, and he will guard us (if he's on leash) but when he is on someone else's property (off leash) or at the dog park, he's a different dog! No signs of behavioral issues in those environments. Rocky is also VERY athletic and strong. He jumped our yard wall and chased deer, so he needs a tall fence enclosure.

Australian Shepherd

Glenside, PA
Size

Details
Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Zack is a 6-month-old Australian Shepherd puppy with a beautiful blue merle coat and a classic personality for the breed. He is energetic, playful, and very affectionate with people. He was acquired from a breeder and has received regular veterinary care. Zack is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, is microchipped, and comes with full veterinary records and pedigree documentation. Zack does well with other dogs. Due to size differences, we are seeking a home without very small dogs, strictly for safety reasons. He would thrive in an active home that understands the energy level and needs of an Australian Shepherd. This rehoming decision was made responsibly and with great care after a serious incident between dogs in the household. Our priority is finding Zack a stable, loving home where he can grow and thrive safely. Adult size cannot be guaranteed and is only an estimate based on current age, weight, and general breed characteristics.

Story
Dog was unofficially rescued at 8 weeks old. We have had Harper for 3 years with two cats and two children. She is very protective of the children and does not like strangers near them and we have a lot of kids coming in and out of the house. She can be very sweet with just us as a family but we cant risk aggression towards children. She will do best in a house without children as she thrives on calm and routine.

Story
Meet Paige, a charming, petite pitbull terrier with a beautiful tan coat. Born around September 2022, she’s already spayed and up to date her vaccines, making her ready for her forever home. Paige is housebroken and crate-trained, showcasing her excellent manners. Full of energy, she thrives on playful activities and enriching mental stimulation. While she currently lives in an urban area, we believe she would absolutely flourish in a peaceful suburban or rural setting with a secure fenced yard. The city noises can be overwhelming for her, and a quieter environment would allow her to truly shine. We adore this delightful girl, and we’re certain you will too! Don’t miss the chance to welcome Paige into your life—apply today! https://www.hart2heartanimalrescue.com/forms/form?formid=6527
