Story
Eve is 1-2 years old, 40 lbs. 'Eve' is a beauty! All black with white on her chest and at the back of her paws. She is a dainty little girl at only 38 pounds with a big attitude! Eve loves to play and has a rough and rowdy playstyle. She does get along with other dogs. She has the most unique and cute bark. Eve is potty trained. Eve does accept and respond to firm direction and commands. She will be easily trainable. She does not like the kennel so she has a confined space (laundry room) and does well in her space. She sleeps through the night with no problem. Eve will go to a kennel as long as the door is open so I do think kennel training could be done with her. Eve would do well in a home with a less dominant dog or well trained dog.

Story
Finnegan is 7 years old, 18 lbs This little guy will steal your heart in minutes. He is just the cutest guy . He is totally velcro. He just wants to be near you, cuddle and be loved. He is housebroken, crate trained. He is just perfect. He only has one flaw--and it is not his fault. He has a bad heart. His heart has been danged by years of heartworms. We pulled him out of a the Edgecombe shelter. We knew he was heartworm positive but we treat dogs for this every week. But he evidently has been HW positive for a very long time. We finally got him through heartworm treatment. after getting hm on heart meds for several months. He is doing very well. However, an adopter will need to be aware that his life may be short. He could live a long healthy life, but his heart could fail at any time. He will need 3-6 month check ups at CARE with the cardiologist, he wil need to be on heart meds the rest of his life. These are not cheap but they are not cost prohibitive. Heart meds are doing wonder these days. One of my dogs that died several yeas ago had a bad heart for his last 5 years of life but he died of kidney failure. his heart had actually improved by the time he died. Just consider this guy a senior with some issues a little earlier than most seniors. if you want a loving cuddly snuggly velcro companion, he is your baby. He minds well, knows commands. He is very smart. He doesn't chew at all. He takes his meds eagerly in cream cheese. I have had this dog here with me so I know him well. You will never regret adopting him, Whether you have a week, a month a year or 10 years with him.

Story
Indy is 6 months old 33 lbs Meet Indy (AKA Indiana Jones)! Indy has already proven he's resilient, adaptable, & has overcome so much as such a young pup! He is such a happy, sweet, playful, adventurous puppy! He loves playing with other dogs, & he's good with other people! He hasn't been tested with cats, but since he's a puppy, he can be slowly introduced to them & should be able to adapt well. Knows commands like "sit" & "leave it" so far. He's been good with not chewing on things he shouldn't, he sleeps all night in the kennel, he's good with car rides & sits still & is quiet! He's a really good puppy! we hope to find him a loving him that will give him a life that he deserves
