Story
Our son andopted Adonis from a shelter in December of 2024. His circumstances changed and he can’t keep him. He has been with us almost a year. He does not get along with our female so we have to keep them separated. He gets along fine with our male and another male he is around frequently. Adonis gets along with children. He is very affectionate. He loves to go on walks and doesn’t pull. He gets excited when we meet other people but settles down quickly. He hasn’t been in a cage but does fine at night without one (he is housebroken). He loves rides in the car as well.

Story
It breaks our hearts to have to rehome our dog, but we want to find the perfect family for him. He’s a 6 year old, 70 lb Weimaraner/Staffordshire Terrier mix. He is a big, lovable goofball with the sweetest personality. 🐾 About him: • Super friendly and gentle • Great with kids, other dogs, and even elderly folks • Loves to run, play tug-of-war, and cuddle • Listens well and just wants to make his people happy • Not a fan of water (baths or swimming are not his thing) • Healthy, happy, and full of love He truly is the sweetest boy and deserves a home where he can get all the love and attention he gives in return.

Story
I’m Hope, a beautiful chocolate-brown terrier mix with a fabulous ear-to-ear smile – especially if I have a ball to play with!I came to the Humane Society of York County from York County Animal Services, where I arrived emaciated and in urgently poor condition. With love and care from the HSYC team, I’m a healthy, playful girl now. I was adopted and returned, and have now spent much of my adult life at the shelter. I’m long overdue to find my forever home! My estimated birth date is September 2017, and I'm about 70 pounds.I’m a favorite of the HSYC staff and volunteers, and I love when they take me on field trips for shopping or a good hike. I’m a terrific car rider, and I’m always grateful to grab a burger for lunch while we’re out and about!I dearly love my walks and hope I can find an active forever family that enjoys getting out with me. I’m a medium-size, strong girl and need a dog-savvy home where I’m the only pet. I love to play with toys and cuddle with my people. If you’re looking for a loving, beautiful one-and-only, come meet me!If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.

Story
I’m Denise, a stunning gray and white terrier who flashes the world’s biggest smile.I have a delightful, funny personality and my favorite thing is going on my daily walks with staff and volunteers at the Humane Society of York County. Well, actually my favorite thing is flopping down for belly rubs after my walks, if I’m being honest.I had a terribly tumultuous arrival at HSYC, where I was abandoned overnight, tied to a fence during a cold rain.I was pretty terrified of everyone after HSYC took me in. The staff spent lots of time showing me that I could trust humans, and I’ve come a very long way since then. My estimated birth date is about April 2021, and I’m a medium-size girl, around 50 pounds.I’m an affectionate pup and love greeting people. I’m not interested in 4-legged friends, though, and will need to be the only pet in my forever home. I would do best in a home without children under 12.I have excellent leash-walking skills and I enjoy playing with toys – and snuggling with my human friends. If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.

Story
I’m Moped, an adorable little low-rider and all-around love bug!I’m a terrier mix, and my estimated birth date is June 2024. I came to the Humane Society of York County as a stray from the Clover area. I’m a medium-size guy, around 35-40 pounds, in a cute squatty body.I’m a friendly boy and am affectionate with my human friends. I love belly rubs! I need a little bit of time when I meet someone new, but I warm up quickly and bring the love once I get to know people. So far my introductions to other dogs have gone well and I appear to be friendly with other pups.I can be a little nervous in new situations until I build my confidence. I’m attending school at Zoom Room and was a little skittish on my first day. But then I rocked my lessons once I built some confidence! I know sit, down and other important skills.I’m such an affectionate, cute boy, I’ll be a wonderful BFF for the person or family who gives me just a little time and space to get to know them and build trust! If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.
