Story
Bea is a 6 year old 55 lb bundle of joy. If I had to choose one word to describe her it would be “goober”. We rescued her from the county shelter in early 2020. She was brought to the shelter as a stray but clearly had an owner before because she was potty trained and crate trained. Bea’s favorite hobby is sleeping, especially in the sun, closely followed by cuddling with anyone and everyone that she can. She has a ton of personality and expresses herself through eyebrow raises, whining, and the occasional paw on your leg. She likes about 30 minutes of exercise each day and spends the rest of her time lounging around. Bea has had trouble adapting to our newborn and she generally doesn’t get along well with other dogs, so she is best suited for a house with no small children or pets. I want her to find a loving home that prioritizes her, gives her lots of cuddles and cheese, and lets her snooze her days away.

Story
Hi! My name is Maghan and I’ve recently had the opportunity to unexpectedly help foster an 11 month pit corso mix, Rilo. Rilo was originally purchased as a support animal while a former student attended college. The environment in WVA was difficult and he transitioned home in January 2024. In February he was given the opportunity to play football at a community college in Kansas. Due to the short notice he had limited options to bring Rilo with him or secure a home. His mom and brothers currently share a house with several other family members so space was limited to keep him. Rilo was posted on a FB page but the responses quickly focused on breeding or other disingenuous comments. We stepped in unexpectedly to make sure Rilo found a safe and loving home. Due to our current life style (kids busy with sports, etc) we are not able to keep him.
