Story
Skipper and Lucy are a bonded pair! We would like to see them adopted together. Skipper is a Jack Russell Terrier Mix at around 25lbs, and Lucy is a black/tan Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua Mix at around 10lbs. Both are around 14 years old. They were surrendered because their owner could no longer continue care. Both Skipper and Lucy are sweet, low-maintenance dogs that enjoy being loved on. They like to nap and cuddle! They are content with a comfy bed, a quiet home, and a person to give them pets and love. Despite being seniors, Skipper and Lucy enjoy going on short walks. Lucy will even get spurts of energy and try to run around! They both are house-trained, though they are older, so they would benefit from more frequent bathroom breaks. We would love to see these two go to a home together, as they are quite bonded. We also do not suggest apartment living, as they can be loud.

Story
Name: Skipper Breed: Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle/Dachshund Mix Sex: Neutered Male Age: ~14 years old Weight: ~25lbs History Skipper came to the shelter when his owner could no longer take care of him. At around 14 years old, this was a big and sudden change for him, but he has handled it well. Personality Skipper has a sweet, easy-going demeanor. He is a happy, positive boy who loves attention and likes to cuddle. He enjoys walks and doesn't seem slowed down by his age. That being said, this delightful boy is still low-maintenance. He would make a great companion, as he likes to just hangout without demanding much. He is an all-around great dog that would do great in a variety of homes. Behavior Skipper is a true gentleman. He is housetrained and immediately does his business outside. He came in with a small, senior female that he loves, so we believe he is dog friendly. He has also met young children and has done amazing with them. We haven't seen him display any kind of aggression, so he may do well with cats as well. Health As a senior boy, Skipper does have some age-related qualities, but he still acts younger than his years. He is simply looking for a loving home where he can enjoy his golden years.

Story
Sky is a Frenchton she is amazing with families loves others dogs and cats! She loves to be outside and play ball we do this daily! She loves walks! She is fully up to date on shots. She is super sweet funny and affectionate. She is house trained and will wait for you to come home to show her love and throw the ball. No allergies - only during shot times. She’s been on the same food since she was born so I’d like to keep the same moving forward. She loved being up close and near you unless there’s other animals in the house. It’s hard for me to have to let her go she is my ESA dog and I unfortunately lost my job and I cannot afford rent. She has 3 months worth of food - I have a full cage she comes with too if needed- she loved to snuggle and sit on the couch watch out the windows until you come home. I need to find her a loving family who can give her the best love and care she deserves.

Story
Name: Winston Breed: Border Collie Mix Sex: Neutered Male Age: 5 years Weight: ~60lbs History Winston was surrendered by his owner, who no longer had the time to care for him. Health When Winston arrived, he had severe ear infections that were never treated. This resulted in growths in both ears. Luckily, we were able to remove these growths! He is now mostly deaf. Personality Winston is a big sweetheart with a wonderful personality. He loves affection and soaking up attention, whether that means cuddling on the couch or simply sitting beside you. He truly enjoys being around his people and is a little snuggle bug. While he loves to play and go for walks, he’s just as happy relaxing and keeping you company. He makes a fantastic companion. Behavior Winston is house-trained and non-destructive. He knows “sit,” is very smart, and is highly treat-motivated. We are unsure how he does with other dogs and recommend a meet-and-greet if you have a resident dog. We are also unsure how he is with cats. Winston could thrive in a variety of home environments.

Story
13 Month M Pitt/Husky/LabFrank is a sweet young Pitt mix looking for a new home that can provide adequate exercise and invest more into behavioral training. Frank is a very kind and gentle dog in almost all facets of life but unfortunately does struggle occasionally with high-arousal situations during playtime. He is triggered by running and rough play. It doesn’t happen very often but he will attempt to lunge/bite. He has gotten significantly better as he has gotten older but we cannot have a dog who is triggered by movement/play as we have a toddler at home and another baby on the way. For this I would not recommend him to go to a home with young children. But I do believe with training and patience this behavior can be remedied to give Frank the best life possible. He loves to cuddle, go on walks, play fetch and tug of war. Crate trained, leash trained, obedience trained, very smart and loving.
