Story
Hiro is a senior gentlemen at 10-11 years old, who is looking for a new soft spot to land after his former family had children and he was not getting the attention he deserves. His former owner is experiencing complications and cannot care for the young children in the home and Hiro. They feel he is not safe around small children, and want to ensure Hiro is removed from an uncomfortable situation before anything happens to anyone. He loves other dogs of all sizes, and would love a buddy or maybe two, but could definitely be happy to the the king of his castle. Hiro is crate trained, house broken, has some off leash training, does not require a yard, is very gentle taking treats, and loves people. He has a short, but thick double coat, that should be easy to maintain with regular brushing. He last saw the vet in April, and is UTD on his core vaccines. He is a really chill dude just looking for a cozy, quiet(ish) house to call his own. Feel free to contact for further information.

Story
Daisy was found at a sawmill, pregnant. She was picked up by a shelter and then taken in by a rescue. After she had her puppies, she was adopted by her current family. They tried for a year but were not able to get her to accept their teen son as part of the family. She loves her people but prefers only animal siblings. She has been around cats with great success. Her first foster had dogs and they said she was fine with them however, she hasn't been around other dogs for a year. She is very sweet and loving. Enjoys walks and napping on the couch with her people. She seems to feel most comfortable with women but will warm up to men. She would do best with a family that doesn't entertain a lot.

Story
Sky is a Frenchton she is amazing with families loves others dogs and cats! She loves to be outside and play ball we do this daily! She loves walks! She is fully up to date on shots. She is super sweet funny and affectionate. She is house trained and will wait for you to come home to show her love and throw the ball. No allergies - only during shot times. She’s been on the same food since she was born so I’d like to keep the same moving forward. She loved being up close and near you unless there’s other animals in the house. It’s hard for me to have to let her go she is my ESA dog and I unfortunately lost my job and I cannot afford rent. She has 3 months worth of food - I have a full cage she comes with too if needed- she loved to snuggle and sit on the couch watch out the windows until you come home. I need to find her a loving family who can give her the best love and care she deserves.

Story
Lucy is a wonderful dog. However, my special needs son has developed severe anxiety around dogs. We need to rehome Lucy to ensure she and my son have peaceful happy lives. Lucy is 10 but still has energy, loves to play, is great with other dogs and humans. She is great with kids, my son just has difficulties with animals. We rescued Lucy prior to our son being born. She is house trained, follows commands, and is happy to just be apart of a family.

Chihuahua

Huntersville, NC
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Grace has always been an incredible addition to our family and his partnered well with our other little dogs we have two Chihuahua mixed breeds one older and one younger and she is a terrific sibling to those two. The difficulty has been in the last six months with our grandchild who lives in our home becoming mobile starting to walk and wanting to engage with the dogs in the house. Grace has exhibited aggressive behavior growling chasing nipping at heels and we are now afraid and can basically foresee a place where our granddaughter is going to want to engage kindly but it won't be received so and as a result we are super fearful of biting which would cause us to make an immediate reaction and rehome her but also it would put our granddaughter in a difficult spot where she would be able to handle dogs or would be traumatized by a potential behavioral issue

Story
Rylie is 6 months old golden retriever. I have a 3 year old Golden, Murphy, that has not adapted to Rylie. Murphy will not have anything to do with him and has been aggressive towards him. Rylie was born 9/27. I purchased for $1500 from reputable breeder. He has had 3 weeks of obedience school that cost $4000 and knows several commands. He sleeps all night, is how house trained and up to date on shots. He was just neutered a week ago, is in a monthly heart worm and tick prevention. I have spent close to $6000 so most of the heavy costs burden has been paid.
