Story
We adopted Dolly two years ago from a Denver shelter. At the time, she had a litter of puppies and was recovering from being transported from out of state. She is about three years old, potty/house trained and crate trained, and knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and wait. She is not on medications and has no known health issues and is updated on all vaccines and checkups. Dolly is a big goofball with an even bigger heart. She is playful, fun, affectionate, and loves to snuggle. She adores people and enjoys playing with other dogs, though she can be a bit rough with smaller ones. She will run if doors or gates are left open, so a secure yard with a high fence or leash is important. She may have some initial anxiety but settles in quickly and builds trust and bonds fast. She will chew things without proper exercise. Dolly is truly a loyal, loving companion who will fill her forever home with love, laughter and endless warm snuggles.

Story
Cora is the sweetest old girl. She has been with me for 12 and a half years. I got her at Platte Canyon Animal Shelter in 2012 as a rescue from a reservation I was told. She is now 15 years old and has arthritis as a result of being so abused before she came into my life. She has a broken leg nobody ever got set so one of her front legs does bow out and she's stiff when she first gets up. I love her so so much but our lives have changed into a situation where we cannot take care of her any more. She is so playful still when she can, she loves snuggles, sleeps most of the time, and really just needs someone who can love on her. She did have 2 cat friends for about 10 years and was great with them. She does well with small children and has been patient with my nephews since they were born. Unfortunately she just does not get along with other dogs as part of her past was being used in a puppy mill. She has been aggressive with other dogs in the past.
