Story
Max is a pure bred American Chocolate Lab from a reputable breeder. He is AKC registered. When he was a puppy he pulled too hard on his collar and he has a partially collapsed trachea that creates a honking or coughing sound when he gets really excited. Vet says it doesn't cause any issues. We added another dog to our family and although he plays well he became very jealous and territorial. He will do best in a home without children or other dogs. He's never been around cats. He is obsessed with shadows and reflections where he chases them like a laser. He's very friendly and cuddly. Loves sleeping on the couch and bed. At bedtime he sleeps in his kennel. He rings a bell to go outside. He can be left out if no trash is accessible or fluffy toys. Responds to training collar for recall as we attempted to train him for duck hunting. He comes back but not the best at retrieving. No chicken or poultry for him. Loves to run. Mostly indoor dog but loves outside too.

Story
Big Boy was part of 3 puppies we rescued in Texas. Mom was dumped and had her litter of 8 puppies. Big Boy is super smart, treat/food motivated, and has a curious instinct. He loves treat-dispensing toys and any toys that require him to sniff out treats. Out of the 3, Big Boy was always first to learn something new, and his siblings followed. He loves playing with his siblings and can share toys for the most part, but he is always interested in the toys that his siblings have. Big Boy is still learning boundaries, such as not eating his siblings food or taking his siblingstreat-dispensing toys away. For this reason, we tend to feed/ give treat-dispensing toys separately. Big Boy is potty-trained. He will be attending PetSmart training/socialization classes starting Feb 8th. Big Boy is curious about my moms cat, but the cat is not ready to interact with Big Boy. He will try to sniff her or eat the cat food. He gets along great with my brother 7-year-old Black Lab.

Story
My name is Tessa, and I am a 9 year old pure-bred mini Australian Shepherd. I have been with one family for most of my life, but almost 2 years ago one of my humans passed away and my other one couldn't take care of me anymore. I have since been with my new family, but they have little children who make me really anxious and scared. I do best in a calm environment where I am the center of attention. Please no children, unless they are older (12 years +) and know how to be calm around me. I grew up with other pets, and can do well with other dogs, I just need to be slowly introduced. I do love cats and do great with them in the home. I am overall a really sweet girl, and will stick to you like glue once I get to know you! I take anxiety medication currently, and am on a special diet because I am overweight. I am up-to-date on all vaccines and will have a copy of my medical records upon adoption with me.
