Story
I rescued Hilda on the island on Maui, where I lived for the last 3.5 years. I found her in the woods with 2 puppies, coincidentally while I was looking for my other dog that ran away (we found her too!). Hilda was instantly the sweetest, most loving girl. I ended up keeping her and finding my other dog. Unfortunately, in October 2023 we made the difficult decision to leave Maui after the August 2023 wildfire. Since then, I have struggled financially and my other dog is experiencing some behavioral issues that are making life very difficult for the 3 of us. Hilda is the most loving lady and I just want to find her the home where she gets the love and attention she deserves. I would love to find Hilda a home where we could still see her for puppy play dates, and I could even provide free dog sitting. Hilda is reactive with other dogs, but after a couple of Introductions she loves to play! No cats, but other dog homes are an option!

Story
I adopted Evie about a year and a half ago. She is incredibly sweet and eager to please, which makes her very trainable. She is a little energizer bunny and gets excited easily. She is great on a leash, but gets excited when she sees a bunny or a squirrel or another dog. She loves snacks and she loves to cuddle. The right thing to do for both of us is to find her a home and a family with more time and space for her. I recently took a job in the city that keeps me away from home for 9-10 hours a day so she isn't living her best life. Our ideal new home for Evie will be with people who are eager to continue her training, have lots of time for playing and cuddling and maybe a yard or lots of land to run around. She's such a sweetie and I will miss her dearly, so we really want to make sure she's going to a new home where she can run and play and not be bored all day while Mom's away.

Story
Hi, I’m Lucy! I’m shy with new environments and new people, but once I’m comfortable my silly, sweet personality comes out. I am potty trained and sleep quietly through the night. I am pretty mellow and am content to lounge on the couch or sunbathe in the yard. I get very excited about walks (though I’m learning not to dart after bunnies) and love hikes and patio outings! I love playing with my pitbull foster sister and I hold my own playing tug and chase with her! I am nervous with new dogs or people at first, so I need to be given some space to learn that it’s safe to approach you. I have some separation anxiety, especially about being left in my crate when no one is home (I’m fine in my crate if you’re around!). I’ll need a little extra love as I learn to feel certain that you’re coming back when you leave. I can’t wait to join your family! ##2008433##

Story
Tootsie is an introverted queen, she is selective about the people that she truly relaxes around - but once you're in, you're in. You'll know when this happens when she starts cuddling up next to you on the couch as you watch your favorite show. She can be nervous, especially with trying new things, so being patient and working to build up her confidence is a must! When she's comfortable with someone, she is down to chill in the grass, go for a walk, play with her toys (or friends), or take naps on the couch.Tootsie is fully potty trained and is good with going into her crate. This could be overnight, when you're out running errands, or if you need a moment to vacuum the carpet and just need some space. She does really well with scent work and LOVES playing hide and seek with her treats. Also, don't worry about breaking down your Amazon boxes - Tootsie will do this for you. Cardboard boxes have quickly become a favorite "toy" of hers.Tootsie would do well either as a solo dog with the opportunity to socialize frequently, or as a nice addition to an established pack! ##1981525##

Story
Are you looking for an absolute buddy?!  Liam is it!  This young guy is zesty for life outside the shelter!  Walk? Yep! Hike or run? Double Yep!  Need a work from home buddy? Also yep! Need a cat sitter? Liam is your guy and loves snuggling up to cats or playing gentle! He loves to follow you around and is equal parts adventure buddy and chill mode.  He is super smart and very eager to please! He is kennel trained, he prefers the wire ones and somewhere he can see you - but if it needs to be alone he relaxes right into his space.  He entertains himself with toys and will play tug with your playful dog! He learned the dog door with about 4 demonstrations of how it works - did I mention super smart?  He also learned sit and with the right hand movement to ground will lay down too! Training him will be a breeze and a great bonding experience for both him and you! He leans in for pets and absolutely loves to be loved on.  Come meet him Saturdays at Petco Denver, 4100 E. Mexico Ave from 12-3:30pm.  ##2046830##

Story
Hi everybody! I'm Irvin! I may look like a border collie, but as I grow, I’m starting to look and act more like a Labrador puppy! I’m full of energy, and I love to play a lot! But then when I’m finished, I flop down and have a good nap. I love going for walks on my leash and am interested in everything that I see and smell! My fosters say that I’m very attentive and very smart! I’m working on potty training and do pretty well with that (with an occasional mess up). I’m very good at “sit”, “lie down” and “touch”, and I’m working on “leave it” and “come”. I’m still learning what is ok to chew on, but I’m ok when things are taken away from me. I love my crate and sleep all night in it. I love kids and other dogs, but I would also be great living with an active adult and look forward to finding my forever home!  ##2059819##
