COLORADO, ARIZONA, NEW MEXICO people ::Meet Vamos! He was left in my neighborhood in southern Baja Mexico in May. I have been fostering him since then. He is about a year old, 30lbs, and is a true Baja adventure dog. He loves swimming, hiking, running, playing fetch, playing with other dogs etc. He is a mellow, cool dude. I will be driving back to the Colorado area in ~2 weeks (mid Oct) and am able to bring him up from Mexico if the right home can be found!Vamos is affectionate & sweet but he also likes to do his own thing. Sticks, toys, bones, he is good to go! He doesn’t require you pet him constantly, he will occupy his own time if need be. He is submissive and gentle & would never show teeth or bite, under any circumstance. He’s totally cool with a bath & nail trims & loves going for rides in the truck; If he can hang his head out the window, he’s in heaven.Big plus if he had dog door access & a fenced yard. He also loves other dogs so if you have a dog already, he’d be pumped!

Meet Bamboo! An incredibly sweet 2 year old Staffy mix girl who has yet to meet a stranger she doesn’t love and want to become best friends with. Bamboo was adopted from the Humane Society as a puppy and has lived with the same family since. She absolutely adores other dogs and loves to play, but like many bully breeds, has a very enthusiastic play style that may not fit with every dog. She would thrive in a home with another playful dog or other opportunities to play and socialize with dogs. She is playful (her favorite games are tug and flirt pole) and loves to get outside, but also super content to curl up and snuggle at the end of the day. Bamboo is deaf but that doesn’t slow her down at all. She knows some basic hand signals and her adoption comes with her vibrating collar that we’ve started doing some beginning association training with. Bamboo currently lives with another dog and does great. She is trustworthy alone in the house. Bamboo is looking for a home without cats.

Story

Sierra is a five-year-old ~110-pound Anatolian shepherd mix who came from a family in Montana that was unable to give her the care and attention she needs. She was kept outside too much, but we have been working with her since February, integrating her into our family, dog walks, belly rubs and brushing, etc. She's a working/herding/guard dog but is also a goofball and a very cuddly teddy bear who loves people and has done well around children. She does have protective/guarding tendencies that seem to have been exacerbated by her situation at her former home, and would do best in a house with a fenced yard and without other dogs or pets (strong crittering instinct). However, she has also made HUGE progress on her dog walks and hasn’t shown any reactivity to other dogs in weeks. Sierra loves being brushed, hanging out with her people, and belly rubs. She is a very sweet girl and would make a great companion for the right person!

This is an incredibly difficult decision for our family because we love her very much, but we have come to realize that she deserves a home where she can be more of a central part of everyday life.She is a genuinely sweet, affectionate, social dog who adores people and lights up when visitors arrive. She is wonderful with children and gets along easily with other dogs. With a medium energy level, she enjoys daily walks, hikes, and adventures, but is just as content relaxing at home by your side.We believe she would thrive with someone who has the time and joy to include her in daily life—walks, adventures, errands, and quiet time at home.Our priority is the right match, not a quick placement.
