Story
Sierra is a five-year-old ~110-pound Anatolian shepherd mix who came from a family in Montana that was unable to give her the care and attention she needs. She was kept outside too much, but we have been working with her since February, integrating her into our family, dog walks, belly rubs and brushing, etc. She's a working/herding/guard dog but is also a goofball and a very cuddly teddy bear who loves people and has done well around children. She does have protective/guarding tendencies that seem to have been exacerbated by her situation at her former home, and would do best in a house with a fenced yard and without other dogs or pets (strong crittering instinct). However, she has also made HUGE progress on her dog walks and hasn’t shown any reactivity to other dogs in weeks. Sierra loves being brushed, hanging out with her people, and belly rubs. She is a very sweet girl and would make a great companion for the right person!

Story
Utah, boxer/pitbull mix, 70 lb, 4-5 yo, neutered maleUtah is a beautiful dog. He is calm, friendly, and happy with whatever activities are going on. He has a serious look and intense gaze, but personality-wise he is gentle, not that serious and loves to play. He is better with female dogs and a bit dominant with the male dogs. Bonded with Hutla, always goes to her kennel to check on her and get her out to play. Needs a fenced yard with 6' fence. Was successfully treated for heartworm. Adoption fee $325. Story
Have you met Chai? At just 4 months old, she's overflowing with love—and those ears are absolutely unforgettable! Sweet, gentle, and always one of the first to greet you at the door, Chai is the kind of puppy who brightens every room she enters. Her personality is as warm as her name, and those floppy, wiggly, delightfully independent ears are simply the icing on the cake. Seriously... let's talk about those bat ears! I'm convinced she can hear every conversation in the house, and that adorable little bend at the tips is pure kryptonite for anyone who meets her. When Chai first arrived, she was shy and timid. Now she's blossomed into a confident little firecracker who keeps everyone laughing. She's curious about everything, eager to explore the world, and always ready for her next adventure. One thing Chai is especially passionate about? Food! She'll do just about anything for a tasty treat, which means training should be a breeze. She's also beginning to discover that a leash means something exciting—a walk! Every outing is a new adventure, and she's learning to enjoy every step. When playtime is over, Chai is more than happy to curl up beside you for a cozy nap. She loves to romp, explore, and then crash hard after all the fun. She's still learning her house manners, but her sweet, eager-to-please nature makes every day a joy. And if you need one more reason to fall in love, just watch her during a photo session. The moment one of our volunteers suggested bringing out some picture props, Chai's little nose shot into the air with curiosity. She was ready for her close-up—and she absolutely stole the show. Chai is growing into an amazing companion with a heart as big as those adorable ears. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate puppy who will keep you smiling every single day, Chai is ready to meet you. Don't wait — apply today!  Adoption fee: $375 Apply at eapl.comJuly 14, 2026, 10:03 am

Story
Meet Lizzie — 50 lbs of Pure Love Lizzie is the kind of dog who makes you wonder how you ever lived without her. Sweet, social, and full of heart, this lovable girl is looking for her forever family — and she just might be yours. Lizzie is a people magnet. She adores adults, older kids, and her fellow furry friends alike. She would do best in a home with older kids. She does have some energy to burn off, but also appreciates her own space. She thrives at the dog park where she can run, romp, and make new pals. She loves a good game of fetch and brings the same enthusiasm to playtime as she does to cuddle time. She's already got a solid foundation — she knows sit, down, and stay, and is fully potty trained. She's still polishing her manners (who isn't?), but her eagerness to please makes training a joy. A little patience goes a long way with this girl. One note: Lizzie and chickens are not meant to be. A home without backyard poultry would be her perfect match! If you're looking for a dog with a warm personality, a playful spirit, and a whole lot of love to give, Lizzie is ready to steal your heart — and your spot on the couch. Come meet her. We dare you not to fall in love  Ready to meet your perfect sidekick? Apply today at eapl.com!  Adoption fee: $375  July 14, 2026, 10:03 am
