Story

Hi! I'm Opal and I'm just under 5 years old. I have beautiful blue eyes that I get lots of compliments on. My favorite activity in the whole world is running and I would love to be someone's jogging companion, but I'm also content with a 30 minute walk daily and some yard time. I also enjoy curling up beside my humans on the couch and lounging outside in the sun. I get along well with most other dogs (particularly male dogs) and I have met a few cats and got along well with all but one of them. Other good attributes about me are that I'm completely potty trained (no accidents since I was a puppy!), I am not food aggressive, I don't shed a lot, and I sleep through the night happily. My owners are trying to re-home me because I am very scared of young children and they recently had a baby. I need to be placed in a home with children over the age of 10. My DNA test said I'm predominately Supermutt, Cattle Dog, and German Shorthaired Pointer.

Story

Leigh is a very sweet girl who never learned to communicate with other dogs. We lost my partner to cancer when Leigh was nine months old. She was never socialized well and became very unpredictable around other dogs in our home. She loves to play fetch, go on walks, and play in the snow. She has not spent time with children.

Story

Ophelia is a very sweet girl, but there are 2 things influencing our difficult decision to try to re-home her: 1-When we downsized last fall we no longer have a big fenced yard and she's simply too big and strong (and headstrong) for my wife to safely walk her and my wife has some health issues such that we simply don't want to risk her doing dog walks and getting pulled down. 2-Multiple people in the extended family don't completely trust her around our toddler granddaughter. She's never bitten, but she has sort of snarled inappropriately. She gets along totally fine with adults and larger kids (like our elementary school age grandkids) and other dogs and it's a bit of a mystery to us because every dog we've ever had previously knows how to deal with toddlers and be patient with 'human puppies'. We're erring on the side of caution and respecting the wishes of the toddler's mother.

Story

Were looking for a forever home for Coco, our adorable 4-month-old puppy! Shes a sweetheart who loves belly rubs, treats, and being around people. Shes great with kids - weve had her around 4 and 7-year-olds and shes done fantastic. Shes also comfortable with our other older large dogs. She does great on walks with the leash and also listens well to the commands come and sit, and likes to play fetch. Shes still learning house training, but were confident shell pick it up with consistency and patience. Due to financial situations we havent gotten her vaccinations done yet. Shes very playful and would be a great family dog we wish we could keep her but dont have the room so we hope to find a loving home for her!

Q LOVEs: couch buddy, walk on leash, hike off leash, returns when called, car rides, dog parks, potty trained, all shots current, healthy, 17lb, 10yrs He came to me 2yrs ago, was considered "challenging dog" - I took him bc I'm a vanlifer and could provide time/energy to train him. We've done well, now ready for a home that can give him a bit more space than a van (apt/house both are great) CURRENT NEEDS: some body handling sensitivity remains. For washing him, walk in shower is great. He doesn't like nail trims and tooth brushing, but loves dental treats! I'm happy to share all I've learned. He will do amazing w someone who is willing to build trust and continue train. TRANSPARENCY: he has bit me in very early stage bc I tried to bathe him w/o proper knowledge. He now enjoys warm shower on his body bc I educated myself. It's often the humans, not the dogs!

Story

Echo is high energy 1 year old lab-pit mix. She understands basic obedience commands like sit, stay, touch, heel (between legs) and just learned crate. She handles the crate well. However, she does lose concentration periodically because she's easily excitable. Echo is play motivated. She has not shown signs of food aggression, however, she is territorial over her toys. She is very well socialized with other pets having made numerous trips to daycare and dog parks. Echo's playstyle is rough so she may not do so well in a home young children. Her favorite game is tug of war, but also enjoys fetch. She slightly pulls on the leash, but has been mostly trustworthy off leash on hikes. She has a high prey drive for rabbits. Echo will thrive in a home with another pet with similar energy and a yard. Currently her only issue is she's slightly overweight, and under conditioned due to me not being able to take care of her properly, But she's not lazy or an overeater.
