Story
We rescued Daisy in Oklahoma 6 years ago. After doing a DNA test, we found out she is highly inbred, which likely explains a lot of her behavioral issues. Physically, she is only 12 pounds and in great shape, but behaviorally she has a lot of challenges. We have been working with an experienced trainer since moving to Colorado, and she has explained the effects of the inbreeding to us. Daisy does not know how to "turn off." She gets overstimulated very easily and gets stuck in patterns that she thinks is self-soothing but actually keeps overstimulating her (ex. Seeking physical affection then growling at the person petting her; growling/howling when she is with me and my partner moves around in another room of the house; licking things obsessively). After a lot of discussion, we believe she needs a one-person household with no other animals and a strict routine to thrive. She also needs a patient human who ideally can take her outdoors a lot as she loves to sniff and explore.

Story
🐾 Meet Teddy! 🐾Teddy is a 60-pound Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix with chondrodysplasia, giving him his adorable short legs—most people think he’s part Corgi! We rescued him as a puppy in April 2024.Teddy is incredibly cuddly and thinks he’s a lap dog. He loves kids, adults, other dogs he knows, snow, and playing with his best buddy Archie, our Schnauzer-Shih Tzu mix. He is smart, high-energy, and has completed extensive professional training. He would thrive in an active home, farm, or ranch with daily exercise. The only aggression Teddy has ever shown is food-related resource guarding. Outside of those situations, he is loving and affectionate. Because young children cannot always understand those boundaries, we are seeking an experienced, ADULT-ONLY home familiar with resource guarding. Follow-up trainer visits are available to help with his transition.Rehoming fee applies but may be waived for the right fit. Our priority is Teddy’s perfect home.

Cal is such a sweet girl. She is learning everything there is to learn about living in a home and meeting other people and animals. She is fine with the cat in the home and is enthusiastic about playing with other dogs. She goes to the office every day and meets lots of people and sleeps in her crate at night (and sometimes at the office too!). She is learning something new everyday and doing so well with all of the things! Cal enjoys getting love, eating, and playing with her toys and other dogs. She has been gaining confidence daily and is a friendly, joyous girl who cannot wait to rock your world!

Story
This sweet boy is a total professional when it comes to kisses, cuddles, and long walks. While he gets a little wiggly and excited to gear up for an adventure, he is a complete gentleman the moment you hit the pavement; no pulling here! He is a strong, sturdy lad who knows how to use his size for affection; he will occasionally give you a lean with his body weight when he is excited to see you or ready to head out. He is not a big fan of going into the kennel and will dart out to see you when the door opens, so be ready for some love when he sees you are ready to interact! However, once he is in his kennel, his manners are impeccable. He is remarkably quiet, rarely barks, and will simply sit and observe, hoping to catch your eye for a little human connection. When in the yard, he is going to love zoomies, and will love to play He may not do well with cats since he is very fascinated with them, so check in with us about cat testing first to make sure he is the right for your family He was a total star at our recent adoption event, winning over volunteers and strangers alike with his waggy tail and gentle treat taking. The dogs he met all interacted well together, but he appreciates a slow, respectful introduction to ensure everyone is on the same page. He is currently at our Fort Lupton Shelter and is waiting for his forever home!

Story
Edda is the kind of puppy who quietly steals your heart before you even realize it. With her short snowy‑white coat and those perfectly placed brown spots only on her ears, she’s already adorable — but her face is what makes people stop and look twice. At first glance, it seems like one eye is smaller than the other, but look closer and you’ll see her secret: a natural swipe of “eyeliner” around her left eye that gives her the most expressive, soulful look.Edda is a gentle, affectionate girl who loves nothing more than lounging on your lap or curling up right by your side. She’s sweet, calm, and deeply loyal once she knows you’re her person. But she also has a little spark — a touch of sass and a hint of adventure — that makes her fun, curious, and quietly confident. She’s not just cute; she’s smart. Edda attends puppy school and already knows sit and lay down, and she’s working hard on come and stay. She walks beautifully on leash, checks in often, and loves exploring the world at a comfortable, steady pace. Her manners at home are just as impressive. She’s fully house trained, crate trained, sleeps silently through the night, and wakes up early only because she follows her foster mom’s schedule. She’s adaptable, routine‑oriented, and eager to please and currently weighs 26 lbs,At adoption events, Edda sometimes gets overlooked because she isn’t the type to rush into a stranger’s arms and be a little overwhelmed. She needs a little time — just a bit of patience and gentleness — to warm up. But once she does, she blossoms fast. Within 24 hours in a new home, she settles in, bonds deeply, and becomes part of the family as if she’s always been there. Her foster mom would keep her in a heartbeat if she didn’t already have two dogs. That’s how special this girl is. Edda is a hidden gem — the kind of dog whose layers reveal themselves slowly, beautifully, and completely to the person willing to give her the space to shine. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with a soft heart, a sassy spark, and a whole lot of potential, Edda is ready to be your treasure.I am in foster!
