Story

Toby is a very sweet and quiet dog. We adopted him in 2013, and at the time he was very skittish and shy of people with an unknown history. The vet suspected he was about 1 at the time, which makes him roughly 12 now. Toby has thrived since then, bonds well with people, and has been a gentle presence in a home that now has four small children. He still can be skitish of certain types of flooring or sudden movements, but loves to be petted and is a wonderful quiet companion. Toby is not a very playful dog, but prefers to find a quiet corner or just be beside the family. He has never been aggressive towards people or other pets in the eleven years we have known him. We unfortunately need to relocate to another state and are unable to take Toby with us, so are looking for a new loving home for him.

Hi! I'm CJ, and I'm a 50 pound cattle dog mix, about 5 years old. I like everyone I meet, canine or human. No one is a stranger to me! My favorite things:-Making canine and human friends-Belly rubs, naps, and cuddling-Food!-Walks with stops to smell things. What I'm looking for in a home:-Another dog friend! (preferred but not required)-Either a yard, or someone that enjoys spending time outside and lets me sniff around-People who are home a lot and wont leave me alone too much! I'm the bestest boy and am ready to settle into the next part of my life! I do well in a kennel if my dog friend is next to me, I walk nicely on leash, know a few tricks, and do the best full body wiggle when I see you!  Do I sound like the buddy for you?!
