COLORADO, ARIZONA, NEW MEXICO people ::Meet Vamos! He was left in my neighborhood in southern Baja Mexico in May. I have been fostering him since then. He is about a year old, 30lbs, and is a true Baja adventure dog. He loves swimming, hiking, running, playing fetch, playing with other dogs etc. He is a mellow, cool dude. I will be driving back to the Colorado area in ~2 weeks (mid Oct) and am able to bring him up from Mexico if the right home can be found!Vamos is affectionate & sweet but he also likes to do his own thing. Sticks, toys, bones, he is good to go! He doesn’t require you pet him constantly, he will occupy his own time if need be. He is submissive and gentle & would never show teeth or bite, under any circumstance. He’s totally cool with a bath & nail trims & loves going for rides in the truck; If he can hang his head out the window, he’s in heaven.Big plus if he had dog door access & a fenced yard. He also loves other dogs so if you have a dog already, he’d be pumped!

Hi there, my name is Dora and I’m curious are you my forever home? My foster mom says I should start out with some of those facts that people want to know to see if we’re a good match. I’m a happy girl who gets along well with dogs and people. I’m crate trained, housebroken and doing well learning commands. I’m that perfect knee height so easy to reach down and pet me. Most likely I won’t get much bigger…35 to 40 pounds as an adult and I don’t shed a lot. OK now the fun stuff… I play well with dogs…different play styles…chase, wrestle, tug-of-war…I’m up for all of it but I’m not too pushy. I share my toys and I also self entertain. I enjoy my walks, pay attention to my human and appropriately meet other dogs and people. I like playing with my humans, fetch is fun! I am a young active girl who would do best in a home with a yard and another playful companion in my life. I am good at staying with my human but not overly clingy. Hi I'm Griffin, but my friends call me Yodi! I'm a little over a year old and about 50 pounds. I love people and other dogs, but no kitties please! For a young guy, I have quite a story! My foster mama was down in new mexico volunteering at a spay neuter clinic and was staying in a cabin in a fairly remote area. I had been loose for a while and was really hungry and she looked pretty nice, so even though I was really scared, I made a few appearances on her porch hoping she would see me. She did, and spent a few hours luring me in with food and snacks. The vet team was able to check me out and get me all my pokes and prods so I could travel home with them to Colorado. Even though I was frozen with fear, I was a really good boy and let them do what they needed to. After a few months in my foster home getting fattened up, I learned that I actually really love people and get really excited to meet new ones! Some dogs I need a little slower intro with, but some I love right away and am ready to play! I would do best in a home with another social and playful dog, no kitties please. I do need a 6ft tall fence though, I'm part kangaroo I think (they have those in NM right?). Besides hanging out with my people and dog friends, I also like to "herd" all my stuffies into one big pile. TLDR: I am looking for a house with a yard and a tall fence, a doggie companion, no kitties, fairly active humans, and lots of fun and love! Timber is a lovable, fun, and energetic (sometimes) dog that loves walks, can join you for a run up to 7 miles, and will do anything you say for a treat. Timber was born and raised in Portland, OR. He is 11 years old with an October birthday! We love our boy, but need to find him a new home as we are in a new stage of life and don’t have the time to give T the attention and support he deserves. For Timber, we are looking for a home that has a yard for him to roam, sniff, and roll around. He is crate trained, but is happy as long as he has his bed. We are looking for new dog parents who like to go on walks and can give him all the petts he asks for. Timber is a very excited dog that has anxiety because of it and shakes when excitedHe acts like a chill old man most of the time and puts himself to bed early or naps under coffee tables/tables. Timber can sit, lay down, and knows the meaning of “bed” and “go potty”. He is also trained to not go upstairs or jump on furniture. He is the best.

Story

Sierra is a five-year-old ~110-pound Anatolian shepherd mix who came from a family in Montana that was unable to give her the care and attention she needs. She was kept outside too much, but we have been working with her since February, integrating her into our family, dog walks, belly rubs and brushing, etc. She's a working/herding/guard dog but is also a goofball and a very cuddly teddy bear who loves people and has done well around children. She does have protective/guarding tendencies that seem to have been exacerbated by her situation at her former home, and would do best in a house with a fenced yard and without other dogs or pets (strong crittering instinct). However, she has also made HUGE progress on her dog walks and hasn’t shown any reactivity to other dogs in weeks. Sierra loves being brushed, hanging out with her people, and belly rubs. She is a very sweet girl and would make a great companion for the right person!
