Story
Doc is a sweet boy who just loves his people. He just loves to be loved and loves to love you right back. Unfortunately, my husband and I have separated and I'm not sure where I will end up. I will not be able to take him with me. Wherever Doc winds up needs to have space for him to run. He is a fence hopper and he is quick so anytime he is outside he has to be on a leash and it's just not fair to him. He also likes to pee a lot and house training has been a bit of a struggle.

Story
Meet Daisy! She is a 3 year old black and tan coonhound who I’ve been fostering since May. This girl is very high energy and LOVES to be outside. She requires many hours of outside time everyday. She needs a home with a large yard with plenty of room to run around and sniff. She would benefit from life on a farm, as a running partner, or even a hunting companion! She is very friendly and does well with cats, dogs, and children!

Story
I adopted Blossom with every intention of providing her with a long-term, loving home. Unfortunately, shortly after bringing her home, my mother suffered a serious hip injury. Because I am now responsible for her care and mobility needs, I am no longer able to give Blossom the time, attention, and exercise she deserves. Blossom is an adorable and affectionate dog who loves everyone and every animal she meets. She has a naturally social, gentle demeanor and bonds quickly with people. She is energetic and playful, and she loves going for walks. She walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys exploring, but stays right on course from point A to point B. She comes with a full-sized crate, a harness, a leash, a slow feeder bowl, and her vaccination documents. She has not had any issues with people or other animals, except for curiosity. She does nip when she wants to play, but this is common for huskys. She will do best with another dog or with someone who is home very often.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- ROSA IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW. Rosa is a mature adult Rotteweiler who may be 7-9 years old and weighs about 90 pounds. Even though Rosa was missing some hair and hasn't been taken the best care of, someone taught her how to sit and shake hands. She's a sensitive girl who was been upset by losing her family and is comforted by the presense of her foster mom. She would even happier in her very own home with a new family!Rosa is a strong girl who will need a physically capable adopter as she can pull pretty hard on leash. She has been reactive to other dogs and cats in her foster home so being an only child will set her up to be the most successful! We know there are so many great people out there how love rotties! We just need to find one that will give Rosa the happy ending we want for her!A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Rosa, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other 'slow to adopt' dogs!Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
