Story
I got Milo from a friend who had asked me to watch him while she was away at college and that she was going to take him back whenever she came back home. However she’s been home for 4-5 months and when she returned I asked her when I could bring him to her but she said she couldn’t take him. I don’t have a job anymore so I’m unable to properly take care of him. Milo is a year and five months, I don’t know his exact birthday but I do know he was born in the middle of July. The things I’m hoping for in a new home for him is a decent yard so he can run free, someone with patience and dedication to training him, and just an overall better home then what he’s had in the past along with the things I couldn’t provide for him. To describe Milo is a little complicated, he’s stubborn, lacks patience, fully of energy but kind of lazy too, he’s not potty trained, and he pulls while being walked, he devours food and gains weight quickly, he loves water and does okay in baths.

Story
Opie is a 7 year old male french bulldog. He has had trouble living with kids and needs a home with no children. He bit my son 2x and we then had him live with my parents where he was very happy. Now we are back living with them and he is always stuck in a crate or gated area, which is just not fair to him. He also has developed skin issues since living here and we have yet to be able to get them under control. It appears to be yeast and I think with the right care it can get under control. We just do not have the time or resources to take care of it properly and be on top of it well enough. Opie has always been bad with resource guarding and can be temperamental. However, he loves my mom and has always been good with her. He really is a sweet boy just needs the right home to be happy and thrive.

Story
Hades is a sweetheart that honestly deserves better than we can currently provide him. He is intelligent and energetic and would do best in an environment that allows him to explore and play more than ours allows. We got him in May and have had a myriad of life changes in that time including new jobs and schedules as well as an upcoming baby. I used to work 10 minutes from home and could visit every few hours but now am working an hour from home. With how busy our lives became it has been challenging to give him the attention and love he deserves. He has never been aggressive towards anyone but does like to chew things that he finds lying around. He has a tendency to escape his leash and will be found sniffing fire hydrants or interacting with people in the neighborhood. He is friendly with everyone he meets. He is good with other dogs as well as our kids but he forgets he is so big and jumps which can scare them. Rehoming fee is able to be waived if he’s a good fit.

Story
NAME: Chickie BREED: Beagle Mix BIRTHDAY: 2012 WEIGHT: 35lbs ADOPTION FEE: $200   Chickie came to us when her owners (thankfully) surrendered her to a VA shelter. They had been keeping her in a pen outside 24 hours a day, despite their claims that she has grass allergies. What really seemed to be happening to poor Chickie was a bad flea infestation, untreated, that left her with half of her hair missing. After months of treatment and medications, her skin is healthy but it appears her hair will never grow back. We give her Apoquel for itching but she is otherwise in good overall health.  &#226&#128&#139 Chickie has put her years of neglect behind her: she is happy in foster care and is a pretty easy girl. Although she is friendly and has never snapped or even growled at anyone, she is still a little head shy and would do best in a home without small children. She does very well with dogs of all sizes, but should be placed in a home without cats. What she really wants is a place where she can get a nice mix of her own space (with her favorite toy football to play with), and attention in the form of walks and snacks. Chickie is crate trained but will need a reminder course on house training. She would love a fenced yard to stretch her legs, sunbathe, and spend time with her forever family.December 10, 2025, 12:09 am
