Story
Raya comes from a great loving home. My brother is very ill and cannot continue to care for her. Raya is amazing when it comes to showing affection. She is extremely loving playfull and loves being around other pets and children. She has proven to be a great companion. Heads up, Raya will sit on your lap and place her loving head on your shoulder. Raya loves to run and play catch. Warning: If you are looking for a boring non affectionate dog, Raya is not the one. Raya is guaranteed to win you over. We are located in Hanover, Pennsylvania.

Story
Osage is an energetic and playful dog. He has been with us since he was a puppy. We are looking for a new home for him because we have not been able to train him well enough around our 3 young children and are having difficulty spending the time with him that he needs to get exercise and enjoyment in life. He does fine with an adult but has some anxiety issues and can lash out and nip/bite in certain situations. He is a bit too jumpy and over excited when meeting people and he means well but can be a bit tough to calm down around people. All that said he would make a great dog for someone who has the time and experience to work on a few behavioral issues. He is well crate trained, he is mostly house trained (I don't leave him unattended for more than a few minutes) but can spend hours in the house when the kids aren't around. He knows some basic commands sit, lay down, shake, and stay (somewhat).

Story
NAME: Chickie BREED: Beagle Mix BIRTHDAY: 2012 WEIGHT: 35lbs ADOPTION FEE: $200   Chickie came to us when her owners (thankfully) surrendered her to a VA shelter. They had been keeping her in a pen outside 24 hours a day, despite their claims that she has grass allergies. What really seemed to be happening to poor Chickie was a bad flea infestation, untreated, that left her with half of her hair missing. After months of treatment and medications, her skin is healthy but it appears her hair will never grow back. We give her Apoquel for itching but she is otherwise in good overall health.   Chickie has put her years of neglect behind her: she is happy in foster care and is a pretty easy girl. Although she is friendly and has never snapped or even growled at anyone, she is still a little head shy and would do best in a home without small children. She does very well with dogs of all sizes, but should be placed in a home without cats. What she really wants is a place where she can get a nice mix of her own space (with her favorite toy football to play with), and attention in the form of walks and snacks. Chickie is crate trained but will need a reminder course on house training. She would love a fenced yard to stretch her legs, sunbathe, and spend time with her forever family.April 27, 2026, 12:07 am

Story
This handsome shy at first fella is 3 years old, weighs 63 pounds is neutered, UTD on vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Holmes is great with kids, good with other dogs and loves to CHASE cats 🐈. He has had his DNA done by his previous owner who returned him for destructive behavior and major separation anxiety. Holmes is Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, Beagle and a few other breeds. Holmes has seen our vet and has been placed on Prozac. We were told he has broke out of many crates, so to keep him safe we placed a crate inside of a crate and have had no issues at all. We believe a tired dog is a good dog so Holmes does go on a few walks everyday weather permitting and plenty of playtime. Holmes is not the best on a leash but he is getting better....part of it really isn't his fault... it's that Beagle nose he has ❤️ Holmes has started training with Canine Services By Devin and will continue to get direction from them to keep him moving in the right direction. If you have the patience and time Holmes needs to continue to grow in a positive loving home please submit a application. Holmes is being fostered in Hanover Pa. Story
NAME: Jenkins BREED: Yorkie/Schnauzer Mix BIRTHDAY: 2013 WEIGHT: 15lbs ADOPTION FEE: $200   Jenkins is the happiest little fellow we've ever met! His little tail never stops wagging, and he's always up for an adventure outside, in the car, or with new people or animals, despite being completely blind. He does bump into things frequently but that never stops him from having a good time and making new friends. Jenkins' favorite things are back scratches, snacks, and naps. Although the shelter initially listed his age at 7, we believe he is a good deal older than that: however, he appears to be in good overall health and will complete his heartworm treatments in March. Jenkins is currently in a foster home and they were hoping it would be a permanent stay, but with two young children (who Jenkins adores), house training has proven to be a bit much. We will gladly place Jenkins in a home with respectful kids, but his new family should be mindful that he does need to be supervised or kept in a confined area. He wears wraps with no issue so this is helpful. If you have a little patience and a lot of love to give, Jenkins will bring joy to your life!
