Story
Onyx is a 6yr old pit bull (November birthday) weighing around 75lbs. We adopted him around 3months old from a rescue. He has never been formally trained, but can walk on leash, sit, stay, knows No, house trained. He has grown with our family and it saddens us to need to rehome him. At a young age he was in a dog fight and until recently has been great. He grumbles at our children (ages 1-4) unprovoked from time to time and recently bit a neighbors dog. The stress of constantly watching over him has become too much to handle. He truly is a love bug. All he wants to do is snuggle and give kisses. He loves running outside, playing with tennis balls, sunbathing, wrestling with daddy, hates baths and nail trims, loves snuggling under the blankets and eating ice cubes 😊 He gets along great with our older, smaller dog as well as our children, minus the grumbles. Our hope is to find him a home that he can thrive and be happy. With no other dogs. Have all his vet records to date.

Story
Bandit will be 2 this fall. He is a wonderful, sweet boy with tons of energy. He is a beautiful “wolf sable”, silver and white. He is microchipped and neutered. He is your typical husky - wants to run and play but then will try to be a lap dog when he is tired. He is a great hiking companion. He talks and talks, just like every other husky I’ve known so in total transparency, he is not quiet. He knows basic commands for sit and will hold and not rush his food bowl until you tell him “good boy”. He will run off-lead and while he has never hurt a cat, he does like to chase them. With my medical issues, I cannot exercise him or give him the attention he deserves.

Story
NAME: Chickie BREED: Beagle Mix BIRTHDAY: 2012 WEIGHT: 35lbs ADOPTION FEE: $200   Chickie came to us when her owners (thankfully) surrendered her to a VA shelter. They had been keeping her in a pen outside 24 hours a day, despite their claims that she has grass allergies. What really seemed to be happening to poor Chickie was a bad flea infestation, untreated, that left her with half of her hair missing. After months of treatment and medications, her skin is healthy but it appears her hair will never grow back. We give her Apoquel for itching but she is otherwise in good overall health.  &#226&#128&#139 Chickie has put her years of neglect behind her: she is happy in foster care and is a pretty easy girl. Although she is friendly and has never snapped or even growled at anyone, she is still a little head shy and would do best in a home without small children. She does very well with dogs of all sizes, but should be placed in a home without cats. What she really wants is a place where she can get a nice mix of her own space (with her favorite toy football to play with), and attention in the form of walks and snacks. Chickie is crate trained but will need a reminder course on house training. She would love a fenced yard to stretch her legs, sunbathe, and spend time with her forever family.October 28, 2024, 10:44 am
