Story
We bought Axel through a company online he is full of confidence! He was boarded for two weeks to get trained. He is very smart and knows sit, stay, heel, come, high five, place, he loves to play with toys and will play fetch, he’s in the process of learning to drop the toy. He is still very young, just turned 1 so very trainable. He is good with kids although you will need to watch him closely because when excited he tends to try and jump on you, this has been something we are working on with him. He has been around other dogs when he was getting trained with no concerns BUT we have never been around other animals so not sure how he would be with other pets in home! It breaks my heart but we are moving and we aren't allowed to take him with. We are looking for someone that has plenty of time for him and can work with him and can do lots of exercising with him! Also he’s full bred and has papers and all medical appointment info he’s had all shots as well!!! Also neutered!

Story
Meet Ace!   This handsome guy is a 5 year old 60 lb bully mix. True to his name he is an ace at many things including daily walks to keep you in shape. He is such a gentleman he will even retrieve his own harness and leash for his walks! Along with walks, he loves all humans, including kids. He gets so excited when meeting someone new he can’t contain himself, so he’s working on his manners when greeting but it’s all out of love!  No cats for this fella! He is good with smaller dogs but hasn’t been off leash around big ones in awhile. However, on leash, he does not engage if another dog is “too much” and backs away. This boy already has his schooling down   and knows basic commands and is house trained. He neutered and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. Ready to meet this handsome hunk? Apply today! Ace is waiting in Harrisburg, PA and can’t wait to meet you!  New Oxford PA 17350; LIC # 9736 We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Story
Pepper is a 4 year old, 15 lb. neutered Min-Pin mix who arrived in Harrisburg, PA on New Year's Day with his foster family. Pepper is a happy little guy that loves cats, dogs, and people! He absolutely loves to follow everyone and is a big-time snuggler. He loves a warm lap and a pile of blankies. Pepper loves playing with his toys and is also crate-trained. If the other dogs are playing fetch, he wants to play, too. Fetch and tug are two of his favorite games to play. Pepper was surrendered near the end of 2023 when he displayed symptoms of IVDD, and his elderly mama could no longer care for his special needs. He does not currently show any signs of pain, and he is doing everything in his power to keep up with the rest of the pack. In his mind, he's totally fine and he doesnt care if he slips or trips when walking or running. He gets back up and tries again. He is potty trained, but due to the IVDD, he sometimes dribbles, so we keep a belly band on him to catch the drips between potty breaks outside. He is able to potty independently without intervention from the humans. Pepper traveled north with a wheelchair but remains mobile without it. Pepper is heartworm negative, current on vaccines, and is ready to keep living his best life this year while he awaits a furever family. If you have room in your heart and home for a special guy like Pepper, apply to meet him:  www.pack9rescue.org/applications New Oxford PA 17350; LIC #9736   We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Story
Looking for a pup that fills your daily sweet intake without the calories?! Candy is your girl  Candy is a 3 y/o, 60 lbs, lab mix. She is gentle with young hoomans. Most recently she did not socialize with any other animals, but is working slowly to reacclimate with dogs. We were able to retest with cats and she ignored them. Candy is a smart girl. She is both house and crate trained. Don’t let that fool you though, she enjoys a good nap, or two. Candy is great in the car as well! Candy had surgery as a result of bladder stones not treated by her previous owners. While she will remain on her prescription food, she should not experience this severity of stones moving forward. Candy is spayed, up to date on vaccines and fostered in Harrisburg, PA New Oxford PA 17350; LIC #9736 We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Story
Good boy Bo! How is this awesome guy still looking for his forever family?  Bo is a 4 year old male poodle mix. He is 62 lb and tall like a standard poodle, but we have no paperwork to say if he is a pure poodle or not. Bo was found as a stray down South and after weeks of searching he got a good grooming and came up North to look for his true forever family! This guy is both dog and kid friendly! He loves other dogs and enjoys playing with them. He has energy but he is out of that unruly puppy stage so it can be channeled and will only get better with consistent training. Bo gets along with all people big and small and is such a friendly guy! Cats are unknown at this time. He is also both house and crate trained. Bo is up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and neutered. Don’t wait, apply today! This handsome guy is waiting in Harrisburg, PA to meet you once approved!  New Oxford PA 17350; LIC #9736 We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers.
