Story
Cash is a male Blue Heeler/Australian Cattle Dog mix who is approximately 1 year and 4 months old. He is smart, energetic, loyal, and playful. He would do best in a safe, stable home with someone who understands active working-breed dogs or is willing to give him structure, patience, attention, and regular exercise. I am rehoming Cash due to family changes and want to find him the right long-term home, not just the fastest placement. A fenced yard or active owner would be ideal. He needs someone who can give him time, consistency, and room to burn energy. Cash received a rabies vaccine on March 21, 2025, and vaccination records are available to a serious adopter. My priority is finding him a loving, responsible home where he will be safe, cared for, and included as part of the family.

Story
Meet Ace! Ace is a approximately 4 to 5 year old male lab mix. Ace is a pretty energetic dog that seems to be just past the puppy phase of life and is ready to learn anything you may throw at him along with tackle any adventure you guys may want to endeavor. Ace was found exploring our city in the cold alongside a peer We call Chase who will also be available for adoption as well. Ace does seem to do very well with Chase so we think he would be ok with other dogs as well.

Story
Vicky is just over a year old and she is full of SPUNK. This girl will keep you on your toes. If you want a lazy, calm dog...she is not girl! That isn't to say she can't calm down, because she can...but if she has a choice she wants to go and see what life has to offer. Vicky is dog unsure. She doesn't seem to have had proper socialization with dogs and has no idea how to behave. She's totally all about her person though. She knows how to sit and she is HIGHLY food motivated. I mean I think this girl would do anything for her kibbles! She's got the energy and the passion to learn a lot. Vicky is probably 65-70 pounds. She's spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Vicky's adoption fee is $200. At Autumn Acres Animal Rescue we believe each individual animal matters. We take in special cases some of which will stay with us as a sanctuary dog.If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect Dog this means they have special needs and special requirements for potential adopters. If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect RESIDENT this animal is NOT available for adoption and is one of our sanctuary residents. We list them on our sites because they still matter and they still need donations to help with their long term care.Check out our website for more information: http://www.autumnacres.org

Story
Clyde has survived the unimaginable. During the artic temperatures he was on a chain with minimal shelter and no regular feedings. He survived...others did not. Clyde has some MAJOR food issues. He was deprived for so long with such sporadic feedings that it will take him quite awhile to realize he will not be hungry anymore. The investigative team with the Missouri Humane Society helped with this situation and they took several of the adult dogs. We had committed to 2. Clyde was one of the ones we were given. He was having a very difficult time gaining weight at the humane society. This isn't uncommon...a dog that doesn't handle being caged well will sometimes spin/react poorly and be unable to hold their weight and gaining weight would be really difficult. We are also a facility based rescue...so we are unsure if he'll gain weight or not, but we will try...and try to find him a home/foster home too! Clyde is heartworm positive and that treatment will start as soon as he settles into our routine here. We've only had him a few days so far. Follow us on Facebook to keep updated on him! Not good with cats,
Story
If you're looking for that bully breed smile and cuddling personality then Sadie is your girl! She's all love and wiggles with humans and doesn't know a stranger. She is good with most other dogs, but can be over reactive to high arousal situations. Meaning no dog parks for this girl. She loves to play with toys and will throw the toy and chase it down herself. She loves her people and wants to be with you. She doesn't like cats and she's nervous in new situations. Sadie came from a terrible hoarding situation. (https://www.kshb.com/news/local-news/ray-county-sheriffs-office-breaks-up-puppy-mill-50-to-70-dogs-found-on-property) she is looking for a forever home willing to give her stability, rules, and help her be her best self. Sadie is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200. At Autumn Acres Animal Rescue we believe each individual animal matters.
