Story
The name is Farley, and loving is my game. I am about five years old, so I am pretty darn mellow. I do need to be an only pet. I just get a bit too excited over cats and other dogs. I would also do better with someone who works from home or is retired. I just really hate being left alone. I want to be with my people as often as possible. Now that we got that out of the way, let's talk about snuggles. I believe that snuggles are a critical part of every day. Those and sniffing. I'm big into sniffing all things around me. And kids. I LOVE kids.

Story
I am Grace. Actually, my name on paper is "DisGrace" but nobody callsme that. My hooman friends here say I have something called heart worms. And they say it is a disgrace that my previous people didn't have me on a heartworm preventive. I guess that's where my name comes from. Anyway, I started my treatment on March 6th. After a long six months of boring kennel rest and a few injections, I am officially clear as of July! This means I now get to do all the running and playing I want. I chase all the toys and am constantly having the zoomies. I love, love, love going on walks with all my favorite people and one of the volunteers even takes me to his dog friendly shop to run and play with the staff! I am an absolute cuddle bug and will adore every single person that wants my love. Though this also means I get a little jealous of other animals. I would do best in a home without other dogs and cats that keep their space. I do fine with cats as long as they aren't trying to snuggle at the same time as me.

Story
Are you looking for a friendly girl who loves to give kisses? Please pick me! I also love getting hugs. I stand up on my hind legs, then rotate so my back is against you. I gently rest my paws on your forearm. And if you bend over, I burrow my head under your chin. It's my favorite way to greet my hooman friends! I get along with the other dogs here at HOPE, and I don't mind the cats either. I am about two years old. My family had to move out of state, and they said they couldn't take me. I'd really love a new family. And if you move, please take me with you. I just want love. And kisses!

Story
My friends here at HOPE named me Oak because I was shaky and quivery like a leaf when I came here. That was a week ago, and I'm already opening up and developing some confidence. They tell me I will be solid like my namesake before too long. I had a bit of a rough start. I came from a bit of a dog hoarding situation. At least that's what my friend here says. All I know is that I lived with a lot of dogs, and I didn't go outside very often. When I got here I balked at doors. I didn't want to go out or in. I would drop to the ground and shake. But when I would see my hooman sitting on the ground, I would crawl to her for a hug. Now I am going through doors like a champ! I love to hang out in the lobby here. There are a lot of cats, and sometimes they scare me a bit, but I just leave them alone. They don't want to be friends, so I stay close to my favorite hoomans instead. I totally think I should be a lap dog, especially when they are trying to type. For some reason they put my front paws back on the ground and tell me "off." I don't think I like "off." On is a much better place to be! I don't have accidents in my kennel, but I have occasionally peed on the concrete floor in the lobby. It is concrete, after all. And so far, I have liked every hooman I have met. Loud noises scare me on walks, but I just scoot closer to my person. Oh! And I am about one year old and 55 pounds. Will I fit with you? Update: I was adopted, but now I am back at HOPE. I have gained lots of confidence, but I still adore people. I am a bit dog selective, so if there is another dog in the home, it needs to be the right dog. And it upsets me when children cry. I tend to jump on them. So perhaps I would do better in a home with older children.
