Meet Artemis (aka Boo) Mixed-breed pup Artemis is about 1 year old. BOO! Sweet girl Artie (aka Boo) came into the facility rather timid/fearful and not seeming to have had much experience on a leash, but she has a good attitude, loves the attention she is getting from volunteers and is learning quickly. AWW! Came into the shelter with buddy Sully (Charlie), an adoptable miniature Aussie. The two show no food aggression, often taking one treat with both mouths at the same time. They don't show a great deal of bonding to each other, though, so we are planning to adopt them out separately. LOVES KIDDOS! Came from a home with children and let them hang all over her. LOTS of LOVE! Getting some TLC and routine vet care and will be available for adoption soon. MEET/ADOPT! Call 913-684-4939 to schedule an appointment. Visit at 510 Organ Ave. 11-4 MWF. Meet Bandit: Pending Foster/Adoption! Bandit is a 10-year-old female husky ready to find her forever home. (She is already spayed and microchipped and will be getting updated vaccinations soon.) Bandit is very much a scent pup. She can smell the moles in the yard and tries to dig them out. So far we would say that is about the only not awesome thing we can say about her. We'd love to see her in a foster-to-adopt home ASAP. Bandit came into the shelter with Gotham, a 7-year-old male Dalmatian (microchipped but needing neuter and vaccinations, which we'll get done for him soon!) FOSTER NEEDED for both! Our shelter is full and we can't take in any additional dogs, and our regular foster homes are full, too. We'd love to see Gotham in a home with someone familiar with the breed who would help us continue getting him to a healthy weight so he can live a long happy lifetime. Both of these dogs truly enjoy playing in the giant yard, and just enjoy life as it comes. They are KID AND CAT FRIENDLY, which makes them an even bigger catch! Meet Gotham Gotham is a 7-year-old male Dalmatian (microchipped but needing neuter and vaccinations, which we'll get done for him soon!) His $155 adoption fee includes those services and other care received. Gotham came into the shelter with Bandit, a 10-year-old female husky. (She is already spayed and microchipped and will be getting updated vaccinations soon.) FOSTER/foster-to-adopt/adoption NEEDED for both! Our shelter is full and we can't take in any additional dogs, and our regular foster homes are full, too.
