Trooper is a loving dog, but he has some fears. He is scared of going outside and needs a house with a fenced in yard to help him acclimate. He does not like loud noises. He also gets very energetic inside the house and needs to be around children older than 5. He is playful but sometimes too much and does not realize his size when he runs around.

Story
Tanner is a 8 year old Bloodhound rescue mix approx. 65lbs.He is a loving old man who needs a quiet home and would love a yard to explore. He loves being outside, and does great on car rides. He is a gentle giant that, loves other people and does well with both cats and other dogs. He is housetrained, and crate trained. He can be goofy at times, but is very laid back. He enjoys doing his own thing most days, which includes observing everything and sleeping in the sun. Although Tanner is a good boy, he does have some quarks to him. We suggest that if you have other dogs or animals, you feed him in a separate room where the other animals are not able to bother him. The same goes with children. He enjoys that time to himself. Tanner, does not like children which has led him to this path. We would like someone to adopt him that has no children living in the house. Unfortunately, the situation he is in now is not ideal for him. He is a good boy, that deserves to live out his golden years.

URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Philadelphia, PA Meet Tosh! She is an 1 year old Australian Shepherd mix (other breed is unknown) and weighs 29 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Tosh is fearful of strangers. She is great with cats! She hasn’t been tested around children. No dogs, due to her reactivity! The owner is surrendering her because she is reactive to cars, other people, and dogs. She needs to go by 5/5! If you think you can provide a great home for Tosh, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Tosh. Owner’s Contact Information: Catherine McCoubrey at (267) 972-1121 or catherine.mccoubrey@gmail.com.

Story
Available near Bloomsburg PA!-Not an Aussie but we had to save her! Bess (aka Poppy), previously listed as ‘coming soon’, is now ready for adoption and searching for her furever home. About a year old, Bess is UTD on shots and spayed. She was found in Arkansas with fish hooks in both her mouth & paw. A Good Samaritan/ASF volunteer got her the medical care she needed thru ASF and nursed her back to health. Bess is a 10 pound bundle of sweetness with a lot of energy, a lot of love to give, and a nice off switch. She is the best at bedtime snuggles and will easily sleep thru the night by your side. She is good with dogs and dog friendly cats. A larger, playful dog companion would be the best fit for potential fur siblings as she can play rough at times. She knows sit, down, come, and is learning stay. Bess is potty trained, but still has accidents. She is crate trained, but can be loud in protest at times. This girl also has a really good nose! With some basic training, she would do well with scent work, or a game of household hide-n-seek with her family. If she sounds like the perfect fit for you/your family, please fill out an application and reference Bess (aka Poppy). All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts. https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furver family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Hi, I'm Harper! I'm a cute little pittie with a heart of gold and the goofiest personality around. I am rather timid and it takes me a loooong time to make new friends but man is it worth it! I'm looking for a patient adult only home where I can be the only pet. That sounds like a lot, but let me tell you, I'm worth it! I love going for walks and I walk well on a leash. My short term foster said that I'm house broken, crate trained and I'm an excellent snuggler. Here at the shelter, I go on car rides and long hikes with my friends and I'm always a perfect partner. Do you have a quiet household, without a lot of visitors and want a dog that'll love you unconditionally? You found your match! Email my friends to learn more about me and to get an application.---This animal is available by appointment only - please reach out to schedule a visit with one of their handlers!---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S.
