Story
Meet cubbie! He’s a loving best friend who loves attention even when you don’t ask for it. He loves walks, playing fetch, and finding toys hidden around the house. We adopted cub from an old roommate who never cared for him and was not trained. We wanted to give him the best home and we did until we are now moving and I want him to find his forever home. It breaks my heart but I know there is someone out there for him who he can play with everyday. He loves to stay busy and always comes by you on the couch to drop the ball on your lap so he can run after it. He will follow you everywhere whether you want him to or not. He’s a personal shadow. You can’t help but live his goofy personality.

Story
We bought Benson from a breeder when he was 8 weeks old in May 2025. Since we brought him home, he's had issues with resource/food guarding, so we took him to a trainer where he learned how to obey basic commands (sit/stay/lay/drop/leave it/come). He is also house and crate trained. He's generally a sweet boy, loves to run, LOVES to chase balls, and enjoys being in the middle of things, but unfortunately, his resource guarding has not improved and he is unpredictable with our young children. He has bitten our 5 year old and shown aggression towards him, but has not shown that same aggression towards older children (teenagers) or adults that know how to act around dogs. Benson would do very well in an adult-only home.We do have another (elderly) dog that he gets along with well, though he is a bit rough with her. He has socialized with other similar-sized dogs as well and would likely love to live in a home with a companion that has a similar amount of energy and can keep up with him.

Story
Meet Vickie: Vickie is about an 18 month old (as of June 2026) long haired small dog mix (maybe Shetland sheepdog, papillon and shepherd of sorts, best guess) that weighs about 23 pounds. Vickie was found in Memphis as a stray with her brothers (Charles and Victor) and taken into a local shelter. The 3 siblings were kenneled together and were very vocal of their disinterest of losing their freedom. They continuously barked as people passed for attention and were ultimately relocated to a back corner kennel and ultimately were overlooked by any visitors. Our rescue heard of them and were able to spring all 3 to get them into a foster home where they could decompress together freely. Vickie is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Vickie has never met a stranger and is a wonderful little buddy. Her brothers were shy and took time to settle into the foster home, but Vickie was the most outgoing and least shy of the trio. Vickie is described by her foster as one of the most affectionate and attentive dogs you could hope to find. Vickie is currently house trained to a doggie door and may need patience while adjusting to a new process. We would love for Vickie to have a home with a fenced in yard so she can run and play freely, but it is not a requirement. Vickie is up to date on her shots and spayed. Vickie had tested positive for heartworms but she has completed her rounds of treatments and is ready for the rest of her happy and healthy life to begin now! Story
Meet KitKat: KitKat is about a 17 week old (as of September 4, 2026) hound mix (best guess) that weighs about 18 pounds. This adorable “sweets litter” (Twix, KitKat, Hershey, Brownie and Toffee) was found abandoned in a crate and dropped on the front porch of a known animal advocate. KitKat is being fostered in the south and would love to catch the next freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families! KitKat and his littermates are all very friendly and happy pups! They get along great with other dogs and have been good with the cats they have been around. KitKat is very laid back and sweet as can be. This entire litter had parvo when abandoned and miraculously all survived! After love and care these survivors love people and to be held and loved on! KitKat will make a great family dog. KitKat is working on house training, but as a puppy, he will need some patience while he continues to master the process. KitKat is crate trained and learning how to walk on a leash. We would love for KitKat to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely as he grows. KitKat is up to date on his puppy shots and will need to be neutered when age appropriate. If you are interested in giving this sweet one a great life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Story
Meet Chunk: Chunk is about a 14 month old (as of July 2026) border collie / lab mix (best guess) that weighs about 60 pounds. Chunk was born in a shelter on May 1, 2025. His mommy and siblings had all been adopted and found their homes and he was left behind. For one year he lived in the shelter not knowing any other life. Chunk went to many adoption events where everyone loved him but no commitments were made. Due to shelter stay length without interest, he found his name on the euthanasia list! The shelter director reached out to our rescue to see if we could help this sweet guy out. We are thankful we had a spot for him and can give him the chance at the life he deserves! Chunk is now being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Chunk is a total sweetheart! He is great with all people, including children. Chunk loves attention, playing with his toys, and having snacks! Chunk could spend his days rolling in the grass and hanging out with friends and be the happiest guy around! Chunk is great with other dogs and has done well with cats, too! Chunk is house trained and crate trained and walks well on a leash. We would love for Chunk to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can roam, run, roll and play freely until his hearts content. Chunk is up to date on his shots and neutered. Chunk is such a great package and ready to be your new best friend forever!
