Story
With very heavy hearts, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome our 5 year-old Mini Bernedoodle, Buster.Buster is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves people. He is great with kids and gets along well with other dogs. He is up to date on all of his vaccinations but is not neutered.I want to be completely honest about his needs so we can find the best possible home for him. Buster is very attention-oriented and thrives with companionship. He is not fully potty trained and experiences separation anxiety, so he will do best with someone who has the time, patience, and experience to help him continue making progress. If you are seriously interested and believe you could provide Buster with the home he needs, please send me a private message. We will be carefully considering all potential homes because we want what is best for him.

Story
Meet Dexter: Dexter is about a 6 month old (as of August 2026) chiweenie mix (best guess) that weighs about 14 pounds. Dexter was found being dumped by his owner on the side of the road. Luckily, the nephew of one of our partners witnessed it, intervened, and brought Dexter to us! Dexter is being fostered in the Lancaster, PA area and would love to meet his forever family. We are having a hard time imagining how anyone would not want this sweet dog. Dexter is loving and attentive and wants to be in your lap whenever there's a vacancy big enough for him. Dexter is gentle and playful and gets along with dogs and cats equally! Dexter is currently house trained to a doggie door and may need patience while learning a new process. We would love for Dexter to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can run and play freely, but it is not a requirement. Dexter is up to date on his shots and neutered. If you are interested in an adding this snuggle puppy into your life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Story
Meet Chunk: Chunk is about a 14 month old (as of July 2026) border collie / lab mix (best guess) that weighs about 60 pounds. Chunk was born in a shelter on May 1, 2025. His mommy and siblings had all been adopted and found their homes and he was left behind. For one year he lived in the shelter not knowing any other life. Chunk went to many adoption events where everyone loved him but no commitments were made. Due to shelter stay length without interest, he found his name on the euthanasia list! The shelter director reached out to our rescue to see if we could help this sweet guy out. We are thankful we had a spot for him and can give him the chance at the life he deserves! Chunk is now being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Chunk is a total sweetheart! He is great with all people, including children. Chunk loves attention, playing with his toys, and having snacks! Chunk could spend his days rolling in the grass and hanging out with friends and be the happiest guy around! Chunk is great with other dogs and has done well with cats, too! Chunk is house trained and crate trained and walks well on a leash. We would love for Chunk to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can roam, run, roll and play freely until his hearts content. Chunk is up to date on his shots and neutered. Chunk is such a great package and ready to be your new best friend forever! If you are interested in saving this sweet soul, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Story
Meet Tide: Tide is about an 12 week old (as of August 15, 2026) Australian shepherd / lab mix (best guess) that weighs just about 12 pounds. This adorable litter of 8 puppies (Dawn, Tide, Ajax, Roxie, Percy, Bubbles, Comet and Ivory) was dumped behind the Blytheville, AR city shelter in a laundry basket.  They were very dehydrated when the shelter staff found them from being left directly in the sun. The shelter reached out to us and we were able to find a place to house them outside of shelter life. Tide is being fostered in the Thomasville, PA area and would love to meet his forever home. Tide and his littermates are all very playful and friendly. Tide is an adorable little bundle that we expect to be a medium sized dog! Tide gets along well with other dogs. As a puppy, Tide will need some patience while he works on his house training, but he is off to a great start! Tide is crate trained and learning to walk well on the leash. We would love for Tide to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely as he grows. Tide is getting up to date on his puppy shots and will need to be neutered when age appropriate. If you are interested in giving this cutie lots of love and a great life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Story
** PA Foster/Adopter Needed!   Meet Buddy:  Buddy is a friendly Husky/Pyrenees/Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix that is approximately 1.5 years old (as of January 2026) and weighs 90 pounds. Buddy was found as a stray in a MS subdivision going from house to house looking for someone to help him. Thankfully he walked up to the right home and the family brought him into their home until he found a foster in PA. Buddy is being fostered in the Pottstown, PA area while he waits for his forever family to come get him. Buddy is very friendly and loves people. Buddy loves being outside either alone or with another dog. He plays nicely with his furry foster sisters, one his size and the other half his size, but does not like male dogs. We recommend no small dogs or small children because Buddy plays hard and does not realize his size. Buddy is your typical Husky/Pyrenes mix. He is very intelligent but has a stubborn side too. He knows a few commands – sit, down, paw, and look. Buddy will need additional patience and training as he continues to learn not to jump up and hug you to say hello, walk nicely on a leash, and not to counter surf. Buddy's Pyrenes and Husky show though the most as he guards the home and occasionally howls as Huskies do.  Buddy is crate trained and has not had one accident in the home. In the evening, he settles and hangs out with his human and other dogs in the home. Buddy definitely needs a fenced in yard and a family that is very active. Buddy is up to date on all his shots and neutered. If you are interested in adopting this sweet boy, please go to our website at charliescrusaders.org and fill out our adoption application.   REQUIREMENTS: Fenced in yard and a female dog in the home.   CURRENT LOCATION: Foster Home in Pottstown, PA 19464 Kennel License #17584 ##2367372##
