Story
Vader is between 1 to 2 years old and was found stray in Philly. He waited patiently for his owner but no one showed up. While waiting at the shelter, volunteers and vet staff commented that he was a very sweet dog. After his stray hold, off he came to Kodi's Club! Vader enjoys his humans and is overall a cooperative boy. He hasn't had much Obedience work so needs some leash work, as he will pull toward tempting scents of interest and has the strength to pull his handler. Learning not to jump up as part of his repertoire with new people is on his To Do list. Vader takes treats gently and is very appreciative! Because he's a young lad and needs to be taught to control his excitement, he will require an experienced owner who is also willing to schedule training sessions to fine tune his manners. No children under 12. Cats unknown. On leash walks, he has pretty much not shown interest in other dogs. Free to play in a group at the shelter, he also didn't present as interested in other dogs, but more so in scents in the yard. Vader will require a physically fenced yard. Interested in being considered? Head over to our website at www.kodisclub.org/applications and submit our application! PA Dog License #18512 Souderton, PA

Story
We just were contacted by a previous adopter so we will share their words. "My husband and I adopted our beloved Fiona in January 2022 from Kodi’s Club. She has been such a joy and light in our life since we brought her home. She has been a wonderful dog, sweet, enjoys lots of cuddles and long walks daily. However, our world has changed as we just brought home our first baby from the hospital this past weekend. Fiona started demonstrating concerning behavior around him. We have also noticed that she doesn’t prefer children in general, especially when they play. We fear that our child’s safety is at risk, and we don’t want to compromise Fiona’s lifestyle either at this point. We are struggling with the impossible decision to surrender her. We wanted to see if Kodi’s Club would take her back to find her a home with no children that can provide all the love she deserves. She went to day care boarding whenever we were on vacation and always did well with the large dog group. She used a crate when we first got her, but we have not used it in some time now. She is truly just a big, goofy dog. She enjoys her daily walks, loves sitting on us and getting lots of pets. She can be mouthy with unfamiliar people at first. Fiona is very treat motivated" Fiona is now waiting for a new home. We are hoping she doesn't have to wait too long! If you'd like to be considered for her, please go to our website and submit our Kodi's Club adoption application. PA License # 18512 Souderton, PA

Story
Meet Ollie – The Compact Rottie With a Big Heart and Even Bigger Personality If you’ve been waiting for a dog who can make you laugh, keep you moving, and then melt into you like a heated blanket… you just found him. Meet Ollie, a now almost-grown (but still adorably compact) Rottweiler mix with all the charm, smarts, and zest for life you could ever want. Ollie has grown up beautifully in foster care and continues to be pure joy wrapped in fur. He’s playful, goofy, social, and deeply loyal to his people — the kind of dog who will trot proudly behind you like he’s your personal bodyguard, then curl up in your arms like an oversized baby when it’s time to relax. Ollie lives with a 3-year-old Rottie foster brother and a 15-year-old senior foster sister, plus two cats. Over time, he’s gotten much better at respecting boundaries. He still plays hard and loves even harder, but he’s learning to pump the brakes when the older or smaller animals say, “Kid, chill.” He’s respectful, eager to please, and adjusts quickly with guidance. Ollie can be described as: an Olympic-level jumper — he still pops straight up in the air like a popcorn kernel. Toy enthusiast — throws his toys for himself, chases them, repeat. Water lover — hoses, sprinklers, kiddie pools… absolutely. Play hard, cuddle harder — he is an elite-level snuggler. People person — he believes strangers are just friends he hasn’t won over yet. Ollie is crate trained, house trained, and very smart. He’s made great strides with impulse control and reading social cues. He thrives with structure and is the perfect match for someone who enjoys a dog with puppy spirit but appreciates the solid foundation he already has. Ollie has a good amount of energy and joy to burn, so a secure, fenced-in yard is a must. He’s at his happiest when he can run freely, bounce around like a spring, and play to his heart’s content. Ollie needs an active, fun, patient human or family who wants a loyal sidekick with a huge heart. Someone who appreciates play, enjoys training, and loves a good cuddle pile at the end of the day. If you’re looking for a well-rounded, affectionate, hilarious pup who brings sunshine everywhere he goes, Ollie is your guy.  If you'd like to be considered to meet him, just submit our application on our website. There are also additional photos and videos there! PA Dog License #18512 Souderton, PA

Story
This is Bear who was found stray, playing in the streets of Philly, with a black and white dog, for the THIRD time 🙄. They were reclaimed the first 2 times, but not this time. Bear is neutered, friendly, and very very sweet. He solicits pets by nudging your hand and thoroughly enjoys the attention. He always takes treats gently. While somewhat shy at first with strangers, once he's been introduced to new humans, he's a trusting boy, which is nice to find in a rescued dog. His owners must have shown him lots of love despite not coming to the shelter for him. A few treats work wonders in his warm up. Food is definitely one of his motivators but he also equally enjoys attention. His noggin is pure eye candy! Bear pulls somewhat on leash but the pulling is initially out of excitement. He does slow down, but a little training along with steady exercise will address that. He's a big sniffer on walks! He enjoys the company of other dogs, but has not been tested with cats. Children over 10 would be best due to his size and energy. If you'd like be considered for Bear, our application is on www.kodisclub.org/applications!

Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Lehighton, PA *This dog doesn’t belong to ASF and hasn’t been evaluated by ASF.* Meet Mocha! He is an 2 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 60 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on shots, but isn’t on heartworm prevention. Mocha is good with kids and cats! No dogs, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate-trained.
