Story
Liesel is a beautiful 1 year old girl found stray in Philly and taken to the city shelter. Liesel loves everyone she meets and is very affectionate. She especially enjoys playing tug and loves using her nose on walks. Her very favorite toy is her Jolly ball. She is truly a sweetheart who charms whose ever path she crosses. Liesel is very expressive through her body language. The only issue we saw was she seemed to have never been exposed to other dogs in her short life before rescue. She is such a precious girl, we decided she needed to be introduced to the joy of other dogs through professionals. When we attempted to introduce her, she’d become over aroused and excited. She showed absolutely no aggression, just super excited. We didn’t want to chance not doing it correctly and she needed exposure to a lot of other dogs. Liesel has completed a Board and Train program and did great. She progressed through pack walks, passing by other dogs, and participating in ‘social hour’ with other dogs there. She really did so well because she’s such a pleaser. Her approved applicant will need to participate in a couple of sessions with her trainer so that the cues and techniques used will be consistent once adopted. While there, she also learned foundational skills so she will be the total package! The photos here are from her training experience. There are also videos on our website Leisel has not been cat tested. Children need to be 10 or over. If you’d like to be considered for Liesel, we need to receive the application found on our website at www.kodisclub.org/applications. We look forward to hearing from you! PA Kennel License #18512

Story
Vader is between 1 to 2 years old and was found stray in Philly. He waited patiently for his owner but no one showed up. While waiting at the shelter, volunteers and vet staff commented that he was a very sweet dog. After his stray hold, off he came to Kodi's Club! Vader enjoys his humans and is overall a cooperative boy. Vader does not automatically bond with his human. There is a hint of a very strict prior life that looks like a weary affect when approached. Patience, space, and an environment that promotes a sense of security and safety are the tools to bring out the real Vader. Vader hasn't had much Obedience work so needs some leash work, as he will pull toward tempting scents of interest and has the strength to pull his handler. On leash walks, he has pretty much not shown interest in other dogs. Free to play in a group at the shelter, he also didn't present as interested in other dogs, but more so in scents in the yard. Vader will require a physically fenced yard. Learning not to jump up as part of his repertoire with new people is on his To Do list. Vader takes treats gently and is very appreciative! Because he's a young boy and needs to be taught to control his excitement, he will require an experienced owner who is also willing to schedule training sessions to fine tune his manners. No children under 12. Cats unknown. Interested in being considered? Head over to our website at www.kodisclub.org/applications and submit our application! PA Dog License #18512 Souderton, PA

Story
Gracie is a 2 year old love! Gracie ADORES humans, both known or strangers. She is definitely a cuddler who misses belly rubs, relaxing on a sofa, and the companionship of her very own family to fulfill her energetic personality. Gracie is in boarding while she waits. She even loves the vet and did great for her check up, even pleasantly allowing a blood draw. (the secret is the distraction of cheese whiz lol). Gracie needs slow introductions to other dogs and prefers dogs on the quieter side of socializing. She would be perfectly satisfied to be an only dog because of her love of people. Gracie shows her love enthusiastically so children in the home should be over 10 and comfortable with big dogs. We do not know how she would be with cats. She keeps her kennel immaculate so we are pretty sure she is house and crate trained. If you'd like to be considered for this beauty, please go to www.kodisclub.org/applications and submit our rescue's application to help us determine if she's a potential match! Story
This is Libby! Libby is 1 and is the sweetest girl! Libby displays very social behavior and is very affectionate. She's great with all handling. Libby went into foster care in a multi-dog home. The family worked with her on house and crate training and she spent her days playing with her new pack and their Jolly balls. Naturally the foster gave Libby structured decompression time to allow her to acclimate into the household and her new pack at her own pace. This is essential for any new dog. Libby did beautifully and proved to be a good citizen in her foster home. Libby requires a slow feeder so she can't inhale her food. Libby is participating in a Board and Train program to learn foundational skills and is ready to spread her wings! She is simply a lovely girl, inside and out. Libby LOVES to play with other dogs and resident dogs would need to be able to enjoy her energy and playfulness. She's a good hearted soul eager to love and be loved, and of course to show off all she learned in school! Cats are unknown If you'd like to be considered for Libby, just go to www.kodislcub.org/applications and submit an application for her!

Indy

Shepherd (Unknown Type) Border Collie

Female, 3 yrs 2 mos

Story
Meet Indy! She is a 1year old Staffordshire/Shepherd mix, and is a lean & muscular 45-50lbs. Indy was recently diagnosed with heartworm and needs to undergo treatment, part of which is taking medication to help keep her calm. Indy is hit or miss with other dogs, and was never 100% solid with one of the dogs in the current foster home, and since being on medication she has suddenly stopped getting along with that dog. He is an older dog and Indy is becoming sporadically aggressive with him, while still getting along wonderfully with the other resident dog. Heartworm treatment isn't hard or time-consuming for the foster. She is scheduled for her first injection on July 18th, and will spend the night at the vet, and then a month later she will receive 2 injections on back to back days, also staying over at the vet. During treatment Indy needs to be kept calm. No running, no wrestling/playing with other dogs. When Indy likes a dog, she REALLY likes them, so rather than try to find a foster home with a dog she's going to want to play & run with, we're hoping to find her a dog-free foster home. This eliminates any issues with her possibly not getting along with a dog, or getting along with it too well. Indy loves to run around the large yard at her foster's home, so even though a fenced-in yard is normally a big plus, in this case since Indy isn't allowed to run and needs to remain on leash, a non-fenced yard would be perfectly fine. If the yard is fenced in, she would need to remain on a relatively short tether so she can't run/jump.
