Story
Meet Storm! She came to us pregnant and Heartworm (HW) positive from a rural NC shelter. Since then, she has raised her babies (they are all adopted), been spayed, and successfully completed heartworm treatment. Storm is a 2.5-year-old, 48lb American Bully that is as sweet as possible! She is being fostered with dogs of all sizes and is doing well, she also does well with kids, and we introduced her to cats with no reaction from her. She is very leary of men, not in an aggressive way; she stays away from them if possible (she uses her crate as a refuge). If you are looking for a loving new family member, Storm is your girl! Please remember that when adopting a dog, you commit to them for the rest of their lives. If you are interested in adoption, DO NOT CALL, you MUST complete an online application on 4 Paws Animal Rescue's website at www.4pawz.org. We verify the care of past/current pets. Our goal is to have the very best home for all our dogs and cats, and therefore, we reserve the right to approve or deny an application based on what we determine is in the pet's best interest. #dogsareworthit #adoptdontshop #bullymix #rescueisthebestbreed #lovedogs #dogs #dogsareacommittment

Story
Meet Blossom and Rose! They came to us through Unchain America in May with their babies (already adopted). Rose (mom) and Blossom (daughter) raised their puppies together and nursed and cared for them. Now it is their turn to find homes of their own. This is a bonded pair that must stay together. Blossom is 2 years old and 10 lbs, and Rose is 12 lbs and 5 years old. They do well with other dogs and kids; we have not tested them with cats. Rose loves to be next to her people, and Blossom is a little more bashful but gains confidence from her mom. Rose has no issues meeting new people, while Blossom takes time to warm up. These girls are a funny duo who love to play together and run around. They will make a great addition to most families. Please remember that when adopting a dog, you commit to them for the rest of their lives. If you are interested in adoption, DO NOT CALL, you MUST complete an online application on 4 Paws Animal Rescue's website at www.4pawz.org. We verify the care of past/current pets. Story
Meet Hero! He was recently adopted and returned. This guy deserves a chance! He is a 2-and-a-half-year-old American Pitbull and Beagle mix weighing 39 lbs. Hero is the kind of dog that will get along with any dog; he thrives with other dogs. He does well with cats and does well with older savvy children. He loves running and has experienced running in a 5k. He knows many commands and does best when training is part of his everyday life. Hero is a people pleaser; he wants to make his people happy! He is housebroken, crate trained, and likes to go on adventures. Hero has been let down several times and will need time to acclimate to your home and expectations. His new family needs to understand that Hero is a lifetime commitment; they must also be committed to daily exercise, continued training, and socialization. If you are interested in adoption, DO NOT CALL; please complete an online application on 4 Paws Animal Rescue's website at www.4pawz.org. We verify the care of past/current pets. Our goal is to have the very best home for all our dogs and cats, and therefore, we reserve the right to approve or deny an application based on what we determine is in the pet's best interest. #lovedogsforever #pitmix #mixedbreed #rescuedisthebestbreed #dogs #dogsareacommittment #rescuedog #lovedogs #adopt #adoptdontshop #adoptme

Story
Meet Jazz and Wobbles! This mother and daughter duo came to us in August from a local animal control; they were part of a hoarding case. THEY ARE A BONDED PAIR AND MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. Jazz is a 3-year-old Yorkie mix that weighs 15lbs. They both had cherry eye when we got them, we attempted to have it surgically corrected. They are scared of everything, they had never experienced outside until they came to us. New experiences, loud noises and fast movements all scare them. They are very loving and like attention but you have to be patient and earn their trust. They are being fostered with dogs and a child, with no issues. If you are looking for a super sweet addition to your family and you are willing to be patient with them they will be the best family members you ever have! If you are interested in adoption; DO NOT CALL, please complete an online application on 4 Paws Animal Rescue's website at www.4pawz.org. We verify the care of past/current pets. Our goal is to have the very best home for all our dogs and cats, and therefore, we reserve the right to approve or deny an application based on what we determine is in the pet's best interest. #lovedogsforever #yorkiemix #littledogs #dogrescue #dogs #rescueismyfavoritebreed #dogsareacommittment #rescuedog #lovedogs #adopt #adoptdontshop

Story
Meet Walker! He came into the 4 PAWS family in May 2020; emaciated, heartworm positive and had several wounds. Walker has made a complete transformation! He is a sweet 7-year-old, 74lb silly boy who is good with kids and other dogs but hasn’t been cat tested. Walker was treated for heartworm and has tested negative. This breed mix can be high energy and very smart which means he will require exercise (mentally and physically). He will also need a 6ft fence with plenty of area to run. His new family needs to be committed to daily exercise, continued training, and socialization. #lovedogsforever #mixedbreed #walkerhound #rescuedisthebestbreed #dogs #dogsareacommittment #rescuedog #lovedogs #adopt #adoptdontshop His rescue journey video: https://youtu.be/kYnnAodx1lo

Story
Please welcome Bruce to the 4 PAWS family! He came to us in August 2022 from a local animal control; he was part of a hoarding case. Bruce has been with us learning how to be a dog and gain confidence. He is a 5-year-old, neutered Pomeranian mix weighing 23 lbs. He is being fostered with other dogs, cats, and he doesn’t like the fast movements of children so his new home should have no kids. His foster does not crate him, he is housebroken, will mark in the first few days, and his foster is socializing him (he can be picky with who he likes). Bruce MUST have a fenced-in yard, he is too skittish and is still learning to walk on a leash. Bruce will take time to adjust to a new home and family but the time and patience will be worth the wait. He is not a dog for a first-time dog owner. Bruce's family needs to understand that he is a lifetime commitment, they must also be committed to daily exercise, continued training, and socialization. #lovedogsforever #pommix #pomeranian #rescuedisthebestbreed #dogs #dogsareacommittment #rescuedog #lovedogs #adopt #adoptdontshop #dogs
