Story
Millie is a very sweet Great Pyrenees who's looking for a forever home. She has only had limited experience being inside a house, so there are many things she's not yet accustomed to, but she's a very loving girl. She has been around alpacas, but she cannot be trusted around chickens, unfortunately. Millie is up to date on vaccinations, and has not been spayed, so that's a task that her new owner would be responsible for. If you'd like more information on Millie, please contact Laura at (360) 708-0083. Thanks for looking!

Story
Jack entered the shelter as a sweet, submissive young dog. He tried so hard. He was sent to a foster home… and then he was returned. Now, barely over 1 year old, Jack is facing euthanasia. He has been affectionate and friendly with some staff, unsure with others. He needs time, patience, and training ##2634418##

Story
GRAHAM is a 2 year old, neutered, 4 year old, 40 lbs., Siberian Husky that came into the Orange County shelter on 01/04/2026 after he was reportedly seen being dropped off near the fire station in Silverado Canyon. The caller stated that he and his wife witnessed a vehicle abandon a Siberian Husky from a vehicle in Silverado Canyon approximately 10 minutes ago. He stated that he observed the silhouette of a person remove the dog from the passenger side of a mid-sized sedan on the turnout near the Forest Fire Station. The vehicle then drove away. GRAHAM was impounded by an Animal Control Officer who used a catch pole because he was growling. At the shelter, GRAHAM was initially scared and growling, but within a few days staff was able to leash him and remove him from his kennel. Shelter Staff Notes: * 01/13/2026: eager to come out of kennel; attempted to door dash. Eventually able to leash with no issues. Dog walked out easily, sniffed various bushes and engaged with environment. Did not look at me or come towards me despite offering treats * 01/14/2026 Easy to remove from kennel today, no issues with door dashing. Non-reactive to other dogs, hackles up when passing by very reactive dogs but otherwise did well. * 01/15/2026 Easy to leash, wide eyes, walked out nicely. Let roam around, able to pet with no issues. Walked him around the shelter, does not pull, walks nicely on leash. When putting back in kennel and taking leash off, his eyes became wide, and body was stiff. I slowly took leash off and once it was off, he did a little jump. * 01/21/2026 Easy to leash, non-reactive towards other dogs when passing by. Walked around the big open yard. Sniffed around, took treats. * 01/23/2026 Easy to leash and pull from kennel. Does well on leash. No pulling & no reactivity towards other dogs while passing by kennels in building. ##2655194##

Story
Cruz Cruz is pit shepard mix and is a very active and happy boy. Just finished a week at board and train. He is extramely smart and wants to impress, he absolutely loves toys and playing fetch. He is neutered, potty trained and doggy door trained. He will walk on a leash but needs some patience to learn not to pull. He hops right in the car for ride time and loves sticking his head out the window. He will go in a crate but isn't very happy about being in there and will make some noise about it for a while. He preferes to be wherever his human is at and is perfectly content just being near them and he loves sleeping at the end of the bed. He has a deformed ear which is guessed to have been caused by an untreated ear infection earlier in life, it doesn't seem to cause him any pain or issues at this point. While Cruz was around other male dogs with no issues at the shelter as well as board and train he will need slow and supervised introductions to other males in his new home. I have two large male dogs of my own and they just don't want to be friendly with Cruz which has resulted in some agressive interactions. This means Cruz has to be secluded quite a bit of the time which is unfair to him and makes him very sad. This boy is ultimately looking for his forever home but is open to a foster or foster to adopt situation! He is under the care of BAMM Rescue and I am currently his foster. If you or anyone you know is looking for a wonderful companion message me! ##2483095##
