Story
~DOB: 1/1/2023 Weight: 65 lb Energy level: moderate Overall drive: moderate Location: Snohomish, WA Candi is the kind of dog who quietly works her way into your heart and never leaves. She has a naturally gentle, intuitive spirit, and she’s always checking in to make sure you’re okay. Whether she’s leaning in for soft hugs, curling up beside you, or trotting happily at your side, Candi brings a calm, comforting presence that feels like home. She’s wonderfully social with both people and dogs, striking that perfect balance between friendly and easygoing. She can be a little thoughtful when meeting new people and will sometimes showing a hint of uncertainty but she processes the world with grace and has never shown anything beyond curiosity. With a bit of reassurance, she settles in beautifully. Candi is equal parts sweet and goofy. Her zoomies will make you laugh, and her love of food and affection makes her a joy to bond with and train. She already knows some basics and is working diligently to perfect even more skills. With her food motivation and desire to connect, she has so much potentials, pecially for someone looking for a deeply connected companion, or even a future therapy or service dog. In the home, she’s affectionate, a little clingy in the best way, and happiest just being near her person. She’ll need some guidance with counter surfing (she really loves snacks), but she’s otherwise well-mannered and eager to please. Candi would thrive in a home that values connection, consistency, and kindness. If you’re looking for a dog who truly feels you and one who will be your shadow, your comfort, and your quiet joy - Candi is waiting. Photo credit: T. Ericson

Story
Meet Piper – Your Loyal, Playful Companion! Piper is a 1.5-year-old, 65-pound sweetheart living in Portland, OR. With a calm, playful personality and a heart full of love, she’s happiest when she’s near her people—with a toy in her mouth and a smile on her face. She’s affectionate, confident, and friendly with both people and animals. Piper does great with cats, most dogs, and even livestock (though chickens may need supervision). She loves playing with dog friends, and while she’s still learning how to manage her excitement on leash, she’s making great progress. Piper is house-trained, not destructive, and enjoys car rides, swimming, and outdoor adventures. She’s food-motivated, knows basic commands, and is working on her leash manners. She gives the best welcome-home hugs—standing on her back legs to nuzzle your face like she missed you all day. Her ideal home? A calm environment with someone home most of the time, maybe with another dog and room to roam. She’d thrive with an outdoorsy person or couple who’ll take her hiking or swimming. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key adventure buddy with a heart of gold, Piper is ready to be your new best friend.

Story
DOB: 12/23/2023 Weight: 62 lbs Energy level: High Overall drive: High Location: Salt Lake City, UT Meet Niyah: part detective, part shadow, part chaos goblin, and 100% devoted to her person. This stunning girl may take a minute to decide you’re worthy of her inner circle, but once you’re in? You’re in. Niyah is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in absolutely everything you do like cooking dinner, bathroom trips, opening the fridge, existing in general. Personal space? Never heard of it. Niyah is incredibly intelligent, highly trainable, and thrives when given a job to do. Tug toys, balls, treats, training sessions - she lives for it all. Her signature move is weaving between your legs when she wants attention, reassurance, or simply thinks you’ve stopped petting her for far too long. She’s goofy, affectionate, intense, and hilariously nosy about everything happening around her. She’s fully house and crate trained (“Go to Holland” sends her happily to her crate), knows an impressive list of commands, and has excellent off-leash check-ins with her person. Niyah would excel in scentwork, sport work, or any home that enjoys training and engaging with their dog beyond just walks. Her ideal home is active, structured, and committed to giving her both mental and physical stimulation. She’d love a human who works from home or takes her along for adventures. No cats or small animals for this girl. If you’ve been looking for a fiercely loyal sidekick with brains, personality, and enough enthusiasm to keep life interesting, Niyah is waiting.

Story
~DOB: 2/1/2022 Weight: 57lbs Energy Level: Moderate Overall Drive: Moderate Location: Mount Vernon, WA If you’re looking for a dog with personality, brains, and “old soul” energy wrapped into one compact Belgian Malinois package… Ira might just be your guy. With his endearing frosted muzzle, expressive face, and smaller frame, he’s perfect for someone wanting an active, capable dog without the oversized package. At first glance, Ira gives off calm, thoughtful vibes, but this little guy has plenty of enthusiasm and heart for work. He absolutely loves being involved with his person and thrives when given jobs, activity, and engagement. What Ira Loves • Nose work and scent games • Hiking and outdoor adventures • Training and learning • Relationship-based work with his handler • Staying mentally engaged and included He will excel in the following areas: • Hiking companion • Nose work or scent sport dog • Adventure buddy • Active companion dog Ira is incredibly smart and picks up concepts quickly. He already knows recall, place, “pretty”, has wonderful toy engagement, and excellent handler focus. Like many intelligent working dogs, Ira can occasionally catch an odor trail or decide his brain wants to wander independently for a moment. Because of this, he does best with a handler who can confidently and calmly redirect him back into the conversation when his curiosity takes over. Ira heavily bonds with his person and genuinely wants to be part of a partnership. He’s affectionate, enthusiastic, and very relationship oriented. While he enjoys activity and engagement, he also has an “off switch” and settles nicely once expectations are clear and reinforcement is consistent. He has that “old soul” personality where he feels thoughtful, observant, funny, and deeply connected all at once. Ira is generally neutral with most dogs and can coexist well, but he tends to take introductions in the “fast lane.” He comes in enthusiastically and confidently, which can be too much for the wrong dog or a sensitive personality. As with any dogs, introductions should be structured and thoughtful, especially with unfamiliar dogs. His curiosity, prey drive, and intensity make him better suited for a home without cats or other small pets. His ideal home will be active but structured with someone who appreciates intelligent, engaged dogs with personality. So if you’re looking for an adventure partner, or maybe interested in training or nose work, Ira is all in. He’s patiently waiting for the perfect person wanting a sidekick that is smart, funny, affectionate, capable, and full of personality without being overwhelming.
