Story
~DOB: 9/1/2020 Weight: 65 lbs Energy level: low Overall drive: low Location: Mount Vernon, Washington Meet Cyrus, the loyal best friend you’ve been waiting for. Some dogs love adventures. Some dogs love toys. Cyrus loves you. This sweet, soulful boy is happiest when he’s by your side, quietly keeping you company through every part of your day. Whether you’re cooking dinner, working from home, or relaxing on the couch, Cyrus is content simply being near his favorite person. In the evenings, he’ll gently rest his head on your lap, or better yet, your stomach; and settle in for a championship-level cuddle session. Described by his veterinarian as the friendliest Malinois she’s ever met, Cyrus adores people and greets friends and visitors with gentle affection and requests for pets. His foster family’s favorite welcome-home ritual? Cyrus enthusiastically nibbling their chin with excitement, like a happy little donkey who just found a treat. Cyrus is smart, easygoing, food-motivated, and has lovely house manners. He enjoys leisurely walks, cozy nights, cheese, hot dogs, and being wherever his person happens to be. Cyrus has matured beautifully, left the chaos of puppyhood behind and mastered the art of companionship. His ideal home will understand his deep attachment to his people and provide a secure environment where he can safely stay close to those he loves. If you’re looking for a devoted shadow, a world-class snuggler, and a dog who will love you with his whole heart, Cyrus is ready to meet you.

Story
DOB: 12/23/2023 Weight: 62 lbs Energy level: High Overall drive: High Location: Seeley Lake, MT Meet Niyah: part detective, part shadow, part chaos goblin, and 100% devoted to her person. This stunning girl may take a minute to decide you’re worthy of her inner circle, but once you’re in? You’re in. Niyah is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in absolutely everything you do like cooking dinner, bathroom trips, opening the fridge, existing in general. Personal space? Never heard of it. Niyah is incredibly intelligent, highly trainable, and thrives when given a job to do. Tug toys, balls, treats, training sessions - she lives for it all. Her signature move is weaving between your legs when she wants attention, reassurance, or simply thinks you’ve stopped petting her for far too long. She’s goofy, affectionate, intense, and hilariously nosy about everything happening around her. She’s fully house and crate trained (“Go to Holland” sends her happily to her crate), knows an impressive list of commands, and has excellent off-leash check-ins with her person. Niyah would excel in scentwork, sport work, or any home that enjoys training and engaging with their dog beyond just walks. Her ideal home is active, structured, and committed to giving her both mental and physical stimulation. She’d love a human who works from home or takes her along for adventures. No cats or small animals for this girl. If you’ve been looking for a fiercely loyal sidekick with brains, personality, and enough enthusiasm to keep life interesting, Niyah is waiting.

Story
~DOB: 2/1/2022 Weight: 57lbs Energy Level: Moderate Overall Drive: Moderate Location: Mount Vernon, WA If you’re looking for a dog with personality, brains, and “old soul” energy wrapped into one compact Belgian Malinois package… Ira might just be your guy. With his endearing frosted muzzle, expressive face, and smaller frame, he’s perfect for someone wanting an active, capable dog without the oversized package. At first glance, Ira gives off calm, thoughtful vibes, but this little guy has plenty of enthusiasm and heart for work. He absolutely loves being involved with his person and thrives when given jobs, activity, and engagement. What Ira Loves • Nose work and scent games • Hiking and outdoor adventures • Training and learning • Relationship-based work with his handler • Staying mentally engaged and included He will excel in the following areas: • Hiking companion • Nose work or scent sport dog • Adventure buddy • Active companion dog Ira is incredibly smart and picks up concepts quickly. He already knows recall, place, “pretty”, has wonderful toy engagement, and excellent handler focus. Like many intelligent working dogs, Ira can occasionally catch an odor trail or decide his brain wants to wander independently for a moment. Because of this, he does best with a handler who can confidently and calmly redirect him back into the conversation when his curiosity takes over. Ira heavily bonds with his person and genuinely wants to be part of a partnership. He’s affectionate, enthusiastic, and very relationship oriented. While he enjoys activity and engagement, he also has an “off switch” and settles nicely once expectations are clear and reinforcement is consistent. He has that “old soul” personality where he feels thoughtful, observant, funny, and deeply connected all at once. Ira is generally neutral with most dogs and can coexist well, but he tends to take introductions in the “fast lane.” He comes in enthusiastically and confidently, which can be too much for the wrong dog or a sensitive personality. As with any dogs, introductions should be structured and thoughtful, especially with unfamiliar dogs. His curiosity, prey drive, and intensity make him better suited for a home without cats or other small pets. His ideal home will be active but structured with someone who appreciates intelligent, engaged dogs with personality. So if you’re looking for an adventure partner, or maybe interested in training or nose work, Ira is all in. He’s patiently waiting for the perfect person wanting a sidekick that is smart, funny, affectionate, capable, and full of personality without being overwhelming.

Story
~DOB: 2/1/2024 Weight: 42 lbs Energy Level: Moderate Overall Drive: Moderate Location: Portland, OR If you’ve ever wished for a Malinois with all the charm, intelligence, and loyalty, but with the volume turned down just a notch; meet Wei. Wei is a one-of-a-kind sweetheart with a playful spirit, a quirky sense of humor, and a heart full of love. She’ll happily join you for hikes, camping trips, frisbee sessions, or neighborhood walks, then curl up beside you on the couch for a cozy evening with her favorite stuffed toy. She’s the perfect blend of adventure buddy and cuddle companion. Her foster family affectionately describes her as “a little raccoon.” She loves collecting treasures like crabapples on walks, delicately attempting to “borrow” the TV remote, and tossing her toys into the air while rolling on her back. Life with Wei is guaranteed to include laughter. She’s affectionate, food-motivated, crate trained, house trained, and eager to learn. As a soft, sensitive dog, she responds beautifully to gentle guidance and continues to gain confidence every day. Wei would thrive with an active person or couple who enjoys training, exploring, and making their dog part of everyday life. Wei could be happy as your one-and-only or with a confident, well-matched male dog. She’d do best in a home without small animals and with older, dog-savvy children if kids are present. Whether you’re looking for a hiking partner, a trick-training enthusiast, a future scent work star, or simply a best friend who makes every day a little brighter, Wei is ready to fill that role. She isn’t just looking for a home, she’s looking for her person. And whoever finds her is going to hit the jackpot.

Story
Meet Piper – Your Loyal, Playful Companion! Piper is a 65-pound sweetheart living in Portland, OR, and born ~10/1/2023. With a calm, playful personality and a heart full of love, she’s happiest when she’s near her people—with a toy in her mouth and a smile on her face. She’s affectionate, confident, and friendly with people and can be neutral to social towards animals when properly introduced. Piper does great with cats, most dogs, and even livestock (though chickens may need supervision). She loves playing with familiar dog friends, and while she’s still learning how to manage her excitement on leash, she’s making great progress. Strange dogs can cause some leash reactivity to resurface. Piper is house-trained, not destructive, and enjoys car rides, swimming, and outdoor adventures. She’s food-motivated, knows basic commands, and is working on her leash manners. She gives the best welcome-home hugs—standing on her back legs to nuzzle your face like she missed you all day. Her ideal home? A calm environment with someone home most of the time, maybe with another dog and room to roam. She’d thrive with an outdoorsy person or couple who’ll take her hiking or swimming. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key adventure buddy with a heart of gold, Piper is ready to be your new best friend.
