Story
Archie is a lovable, energetic and chatty cat. He was rescued as a kitten and is now 5 years old. His favorite thing is to crawl on your chest and snuggle, knead his paws and purr! He will spend over half his day sleeping in cozy spot of choice, then be ready for some love. He is also a hunter at heart, chasing “mice” and exploring at night. He has been around one child from infancy to toddlerhood and does well interacting but can remove himself if overwhelmed. He has never lived with other animals, and would take a bit to warm up to another cat fully (no dogs). We are just looking for a warm and loving home for him - someone that likes the companion cat that climbs on your chest to cuddle and will give him pets and wet food. Someone who will be patient in the transition as he adjusts, as he will be shy and cautious to start. One he feels safe he will love being loved! Overall, he is a low maintenance pet and he will be missed. Personal health issues are our sole reason for surrender.

Story
Meet Iris! This friendly Tortoiseshell cat was born around May 2022 and was found as a pregnant stray. Iris will let you place her in your lap, staying for short sessions of petting or brushing. At other times she likes to sit next to you. Iris tolerates being picked up, preferring to be held upright. She enjoys playing with toys by herself and interactive ones with you. Iris is kitten-active and affectionate on her terms. She is hesitantly friendly with strangers after about an hour and if you are late for meal time she will tell you so. Iris tolerates most dogs, prefers male cats, and hasn’t met kids, but should be fine with respectful ones over age 7. She uses a scratching post and has fine litterbox habits. Her older kittens are available. If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored). This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Calicos and Siamese are $250+tx. Story
Hermine likes to be picked up and held upright. She often rubs against your face and gives kitty kisses. This cute, easy-going brown/black tabby kitten was part of an unwanted litter born in June 2023. Hermine likes calm, quiet kids over age four, tolerates respectful dogs, and is fine with most cats. She watches for you at the window, greets you at the door, and ankle rubs. Hermine is very friendly with known people and initially shy of strangers. Hermine will let you place her in or will jump into your lap, staying for short sessions of brushing and petting. She enjoys watching wildlife at the window, playing with toys by herself or with you, and plays with the water in her dish. Hermine purrs on contact with her trusted person and periodically rolls over for tummy stroking. She has fine litterbox habits and uses a scratching post. Hermine would not do well as an only cat. Siblings are available. If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored). Story
Henry is a quiet, active, mostly black kitten born June 2023. He is friendly with known people and shy around strangers. He greets you at the door, ankle rubs, and follows you around for a while. Henry is friendly and affectionate on his terms, tolerating being picked up, and enjoying brushing and petting. He jumps into your lap when you sit and stays for a short while, preferring to sit next to you. At times he rolls around in the foster mom's lap when she sits down. Henry purrs on contact with his trusted person. He is passive with cats, tolerates calm dogs, and hasn’t met kids, but if they are respectful, Henry should be fine. He enjoys watching wildlife at the window, playing with toys by himself or with you, and with the water in his dish. He has fine litterbox habits. Henry and his siblings were part of an unplanned litter. Are you the patient person willing to give him time to trust and blossom in a new setting and you be rewarded with a special relationship with him? If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored). Story
Delilah is all white except for a black tail and 2 spots on her head. The vet thinks she was born in 2019. Delilah is quiet, avoidant of strangers, friendly with her trusted persons, and affectionate on her terms. She accepts a little brushing on her back, shies from petting, and doesn’t want to be held. If there is no competition, she rolls over on her tummy when playing with wand toys and also plays by herself with toys. Delilah enjoys watching wildlife at the window. She gets along with male cats and is competitive with some girl cats. Delilah has not met dogs or kids under age nine. She enjoys the company of her calico daughter, Dotty. Delilah needs a patient adopter willing to give her time to trust and blossom to be the nice cat that she is. She uses a scratching post and has fine litterbox habits. This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Some special breeds are $250+tax. Story
3 yr, 5 months Dotty and her mom, Delilah, were found abandoned at a farm and turned over to Rescue. Dotty, a beautiful calico, was born around May 2020. She is quiet, affectionate on her terms with trusted people, and avoidant of strangers. Dotty enjoys window watching and playing with wand toys as long as there is no competition. She is on the passive side and really enjoys Delilah’s companionship. Dotty likes a little bit of petting and brushing. She does not like being picked up and prefers to sit near you. She gets along with most cats. Dotty has not met dogs, nor kids under age nine, but if they are gentle and quiet she will be fine. Are you the patient person willing to give her time to trust and blossom? This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax.
