Story
Sam is a sweet, timid cat who was captured from a suburban neighborhood as a stray kitten, along with his two brothers. He started off very scared of humans, but has made great strides and now enjoys being brushed and pet. He does still scare easily, though, and he takes time to warm up to new humans. He likes most other cats, especially his brother Riley, but doesn’t seem to like the one adult female tortoiseshell cat in his foster home. He gets along fine with his brother Riley as well as the other adult male cat in his foster home. He is also used to the large, fairly calm dog in his foster home. Sam is a great cat who would like to find a loving, patient forever home! Sam has had a complete wellness exam, is microchipped, neutered, tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and is updated on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $250.00 which includes a free wellness exam within 7 days of adoption. Sam is currently located in a foster home. Payment is either cash or check. Sorry, we do not do any out-of-state adoptions. ADOPTING A PET IS A LIFELONG COMMITMENT!

Story
Fluffy was the name animal control had given him but he's been going by Benny since he's been in my care. He has quite a ways to go still before he could be considered adoptable. He is still having plenty of issues of working through aggression and is still very much a bite risk. He's had really great progress, and I continue to see him improve, but his nervous system is still working through a lot in remembering he's safe. I have no doubt he was physically abused.Fluffy has had a complete wellness exam, is microchipped, neutered, tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and is updated on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $400.00 which includes a free wellness exam within 7 days of adoption. Fluffy is currently located in a foster home. Payment is either cash or check. Sorry, we do not do any out-of-state adoptions. ADOPTING A PET IS A LIFELONG COMMITMENT!

Story
🤎✨🖤 Meet Scooby & Doo! 🖤✨🤎 Scooby and Doo are a bonded duo looking for a home where they can stay together and continue their favorite adventures. These two are expert toy destroyers and cardboard scratcher demolishers, but they put their talents to good use by reliably using their cat scratchers—especially if they're horizontal! Like any good mystery-solving team, Scooby and Doo take a little time to get to know new people. Once their human earns their trust, they'll happily accept plenty of attention in the form of wand toy play sessions, tasty treats, pets, and brushing. They enjoy interacting with their people and building strong bonds at their own pace. Doo is the more confident of the pair and is often the first to check out something new. Scooby is a bit more sensitive and skittish, preferring to have a safe retreat where he can relax when things feel overwhelming. With patience, understanding, and a cozy hiding spot, Scooby's sweet personality shines through. Together, Scooby and Doo make a wonderful pair—playful, entertaining, and affectionate companions who will reward your patience with trust, love, and plenty of laughs. 🖤✨🤎 Scooby and Doo would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands trust is earned, not rushed. Their ideal family will give them time to settle in and let them build confidence at their own pace. Once they've decided you're part of their inner circle, they'll happily reward you with affection, playtime, and companionship. Because Scooby is the more cautious sibling, their home should include quiet spaces and cozy hideaways where he can retreat when he needs a break. Cat trees with enclosed cubbies, covered beds, or quiet rooms where he can decompress will help him feel secure. Doo's confidence helps encourage Scooby, so keeping this bonded pair together is especially important. A household with a predictable routine and people willing to let the cats set the pace for interactions would be ideal. With patience, understanding, and lots of enrichment, Scooby and Doo will blossom into loyal, entertaining companions who fill their home with personality, playfulness, and love! 🖤 All CSHS kitties are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FIV/FeLV test (if not born in care), dewormed and microchipped. Story
Atlas is a quiet kind of beauty—the sort of tabby who doesn’t demand attention, but somehow always ends up with it. With his soft stripes and gentle eyes, he has a calm, steady presence that makes any space feel more peaceful just by being in it! ❤️ You’ll often find Atlas by the window, completely absorbed in the world outside. Birds, leaves, passing clouds—he watches it all like it’s his favorite show. But the moment you sit down nearby, his focus shifts. Atlas is a lover at heart, happy to trade birdwatching for a good petting session! He leans into affection with quiet enthusiasm, soaking up every scratch and gentle stroke. Add a good meal into the mix, and you’ve got his full devotion. Sweet, serene, and full of love, Atlas is the kind of cat who turns ordinary moments into something softer and warmer. ❤️🐾❤️ All CSHS kitties are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FIV/FeLV test (if not born in care), dewormed and microchipped. If you are interested in Atlas please submit an application today or go visit him at Chuck and Don's Apple Valley location!

Story
🖤 Vladimir is a sweet, gentle man! 🖤 Vlad is shy at first and can take a little bit of time to warm up to people but one he does, he doles out large doses of affection often and wholeheartedly. He plays hard but is mostly calm, curious and just a touch mischievous. The perfect combination! ✨ Vladimir participated in our Whiskers of Hope program and her bio is written by her foster from Oak Park Heights Correctional Facility. Whiskers of Hope: Fostering Cats in Correctional Facilities, in partnership with Oak Park Heights Correctional Facility is designed to give cats a calm, consistent environment to decompress and receive one-on-one care and provide incarcerated individuals with emotional support, a sense of purpose, and the opportunity to give back by fostering animals in need. Each participating individual lives in the mental health unit and has earned the opportunity to be part of this program through positive behavior, leadership, and responsibility. Cats live with their assigned caregiver in a private room, with access to shared enrichment spaces and regular oversight from both facility staff and our team. Each cat receives daily enrichment, love, and individualized care. In turn, the program offers therapeutic benefits to the people involved and helps prepare each cat for a successful adoption. All CSHS kitties are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FIV/FeLV test (if not born in care), dewormed and microchipped. If you are interested in Vlad please submit an application today! https://www.carverscotths.org/
